2 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: It was a very nice high quality camera with motion detection.

Cons: It died after 6 months of use

Other Thoughts: I loved it while it worked. The audio was really nice on it. It is a shame that it died so soon. Will probably stay away from Logitech's refurbished webcams in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsBest webcam for the money

Pros: Good design, (aesthetically and functionally). It grips well on the top of my monitor. It can swivel 360 degrees. Great picture quality (HD) in streaming and great sound too.
It has a feature that if enabled the camera will zoom in/out and will follow your face automatically, as needed. It doesn't work well with 2 faces on the screen

Cons: Really none

Other Thoughts: I got it refurbished and for a bargain price. I think it is a little too expensive at normal price for what's worth

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Deal!

Pros: This is a high quality product for a bargain price. This thing normally sells for $69. I personally like refurbished products because I feel like they get a second look from the manufacturer to make sure everything is working properly. 8mp makes quite a nice picture. I love the face following option included in the software.

Cons: It doesn't stay on the greatest if you are putting it on your tv.

Other Thoughts: Get it.

5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT

Pros: I got this camera refurbished and it works perfectly! The resolution is great, especially compared to my old built in laptop one, and the settings really allow you to get the picture you want. Perfect for making videos at my desk, it's really compact so easy to take along and you can tell it's a quality Logitech product.

Cons: No cons really, just know it sits best on flat screens. My monitor is "flat screen" but has a bulky vent on top, so it doesn't clip on really. doesn't fall off!

Other Thoughts: Great for personal videos, maybe not something for professional videos.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect webcam

Pros: mounts to my flat panel very nicely, and the video is very fluid. I use this camera 10 hours a day while working from home, and it has yet to fail. the auto on it is very nice, and the motion detection is fun. the pictures I have taken with it are better than I expected. the software install went EXTREMLY easy. the software even has a security feature that will make camera start recording when it detects motion if you want to turn that on while you are away from home.

Cons: none at all

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Buy!

Pros: * Very easy installation
* Picture quality
* Only $30? Are you kidding?!
* Compatibility
* Very good mic
* Many options via software, as well as lighting in low light conditions

Cons: * video isn't 1920x1080p, but then its clearly not labeled as a 1080p camera so i can't fault it for that lol

Other Thoughts: Having had the camera for a few months now, I have recommended this to several friends and family members. Also, even if I would've had to pay full price, it still would've been a good price for the quality of the camera. Not dissapointed at all.

5 out of 5 eggsJust a Clarification

Pros: First,
I have not bought this product. I am writing this review to clarify some misinformation from some of the other reviews. Some reviewers have called this Webcam 1080p HD which it is not. Logitech does not claim that this webcam is Full HD / 1080p. It is clearly stated in the spec's that this webcam is 720p HD.

720P HD (1280x720)
Logitech is a great company that stands behind its products with a great customer service department.

Cons: Not wireless (though the vast majority of webcams are not wireless--especially not at this price point)

Other Thoughts: NOT 1080p HD as some other reviewers have claimed.

I don't consider this a con as 720p is more than acceptable for a webcam and Logitech never claims the c525 is 1080p HD

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good For A Refurb

Pros: - Came undamaged with no scratches and looks practically knew.

- Picture quality is the same as if it was knew, I did not get any lines, lens damage or ghosting on mine.

Cons: - The only part that i am trully upset about is that the quality is nothing like my c270 logitech cam which is cheaper and this is suppose to be a higher model. although they have the same resolution and specs, the c270 I have just looks crisper and records images faster. I noticed a little bit of ghosting and some minor lag at times, and that is unacceptable for a modern day 1080p cam for me. I am not sure if it is due to it being refurbished, but double checking it with another c525 that I ordered the quality was the same. It is a good picture don;t get me wrong but not like some other cams out there, and its own c270 (lower end model) is clearer and faster.

- Not really a con but I did not get a cd or any driver software with mine, but its okay because it takes 2 seconds to download it from logitechs support site. But for newbies and customers who are not technical in computer knowledge should take note of that and know how to go on a companies website and download software/drivers.

Other Thoughts: Overall its worth it. I paid around 20 bucks for a 1080p Logitech cam, that works.
