1 out of 5 eggsArrived Without USB Receiver

Pros: I have used Logitech Trackballs from day 1 and they are hands down the best Trackball company worldwide. No issues with the Logitech Trackball itself, the issue is with the fact that New Egg mailed me the item incomplete, missing the USB Receiver.

I have been using trackballs instead of mice for around 20 years and trackballs are clearly the superior of the two. 1 billion years in the future humans will use trackballs and the mouse will be extinct, how do I know this? Check out the inside of an extraterrestrial flying saucer, they don't use mice, they use trackballs. With a mouse you are forced to move your entire arm, wrist, hand. With a trackball you only need move your thumb and finger, to say trackballs were more efficient would be an extreme understatement.

Cons: The wireless trackball arrived without a USB receiver, as anyone knows a wireless trackball/mouse is unusable without it's USB receiver.

Out of my pocket I am being forced to pay for shipping to ship back
the trackball because New Egg made the mistake of not including the USB receiver. At one point in time they must have had the USB receiver because a sticker on the back says it passed the inspection, an inspection can't be passed without a USB receiver.

New Egg made the mistake and I have to pay for that mistake which is wrong. I hope I get the $5.00 refund, I tried to contact chat but after 30 minutes of waiting it was clear there was no one online. May try again.

If anything I hope New Egg re-train their warehouse staff to know that 100% of the time a wireless item whether it be a mouse, trackball, keyboard, etc, 100% of the time there will be a USB receiver that needs to be included in the box.

4 out of 5 eggsOrdered 2 -- 1 good / 1 bad

Pros: It's a wireless trackball. Great for work in the field when there's not surface to use a standard mouse.
Also works well when using AutoCAD.

Cons: I ordered two of these refurbished M570 Trackballs at the about a month ago. One of the two was visible damaged. Customer service was friendly and initiated an RMA. Two weeks later, I had a replacement that worked.

Other Thoughts: I have used these trackballs for years for work since I am often out in the field with no flat surface to use a standard mouse.

2 out of 5 eggsRight Click goes bub-bye

Pros: Great Company, *Usually* great products

Cons: Right click button died - 90 day warranty - next time I'll spend the remaining $24 and get new, with a 3 year warranty

Other Thoughts: This refurb might be more like 'used' as has been expressed in other reviews. I have owned many Logitech Trackman trackballs over the years, and none have ever failed this early if at all. The others have 'millions' of miles on them.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well, it worked. It's a trackball.

Cons: After less than a year, the USB receiver broke. The build quality of the entire unit is not top notch. I'm kind of disappointed for a Logitech device. Most of their products have stood up to the test of time much better than this device did.

Other Thoughts: I own an older Microsoft trackball optical 1.0. I have had it for longer than any other pointing device. It has outlasted my kids multiple mice, my wife's mice and trackballs. I wish, oh how I wish, that Logitech would come up with a similar design to my old Microsoft trackball. I may be in the minority, but I prefer a trackball for my systems and this one has stood up to use and abuse for over 10 years. Hear me Logitech!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well.

Pros: Additional buttons, and a thumb ball.

The mouse is quite accurate and speedy though it does require some cleaning every month or so. as dirt can get in the ball area and obstruct the laser.

Cons: As i said the ball can get obstructed by dirt, causing it to lose accuracy. though this is a very minor thing.

The other problem i have had with this mouse though its more personal preference is how sensitive the right click is. some times one click is registered as 2 clicks. leaving your finger over the right button and you generally click when you don't want to. it is generally easy to get used to. but an inconvenience none the less.

Other Thoughts: Overall if you like the trackball mice, then you will be plenty happy with this purchase especially if you ever find it at a decent discount.

3 out of 5 eggsrange not so good

Pros: Was going to use for a computer connected to a big screen tv as an entertainment setup but these mice have anemic range 3-4 ft from the receiver . It works if you are next to the receiver just fine, but not very useful for me . The ones that are bought new (not refurbished) have WAY more range !

Cons: range sucks !

Other Thoughts: not worth what I paid

5 out of 5 eggsVersatile mouse

Pros: Stationary mouse, relieves stress on lower arm and wrist. Easy operation with thumb-operated ball, scroll wheel, extra forward/backward button, great shape, easily portable.

Cons: Maybe a bit too small for guys with large hands. Otherwise no cons.

2 out of 5 eggsbe careful with new refurbs

Pros: I was able to fix the defect myself and the mouse works great

Cons: shipped without the ball in the cadge. Had to disassemble & reassemble the mouse (split case remove ball cadge insert ball)

Other Thoughts: No way this item was packaged without knowledge of the defect . That and getting a refurbed wireless logetech keyboard without the receiver is going to make me leery of newegg refurbs in the future.

1 out of 5 eggswhat, exactly, does "refurbished" mean?

Pros: fits back into envelope for RMA

Cons: didn't work at all, on two computers, 4 different usb ports, and 3 different batteries!

what part of this item, exactly, was the refurbished part??

almost nine dollah return shipping - -some bargain!
