3 out of 5 eggsConfused

Pros: Works good, nice and clean and like new.

Cons: Does not come in packaging other than plastic bag.

Did not see the usb adapter. It is hidden inside the battery compartment.

Other Thoughts: Just what the doctor ordered. The locking scroll is the best feature of this mouse. Unlock it and scroll down with the flick of the wheel, stop scrolling when button is pressed again. This mouse is fairly good sized for my hand (not very big hands) The price is right at similar comparisons. The only reason my old M705 died is because I took it apart to clean it out and broke the wire harness going to the right left buttons. Turns out the batteries were just low. Should be a great mouse for many years to come. Best buy and best bang for the buck.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Nice. Cleaner than some refurbished products. Nice form factor.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is a great mouse if you like this style. If you don't like this style, try the M510.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Very nice scroll wheel. Love the wheel button that lets the wheel spin for scrolling long pages or documents. Placement of buttons is good. Also you can't go wrong with a unified Bluetooth dongle.

There is also place inside the battery compartment for storing the dongle for long time storage. no more lost dongles.

Cons: Slightly smaller then what I'm used to. Guess I'll get used to this one eventually.

One thing I wish was better is the side buttons. They are placed OK but you have to press hard to use them. Well harder than my old mouse. Suppose I'll also get use to that after while. Actually these things are becoming less of an annoyance as time goes by.

Other Thoughts: I've been using Microsoft Intellimouse for years. Unfortunately they are no longer made. After cannibalizing all my Intellimice for parts I was down to my last mouse. I have been looking for something to replace the Microsoft Intellimouse when I saw this one. While the M705 is slightly smaller its about as close to the Intellimouse as I've found. It also seems a little bit more responsive than the Intellimouse.

2 out of 5 eggsShort lived.

Pros: Perfectly curved from average size hand.
Buttons are well placed.
Looks nice.
Feature rich.
Love the micro USB and Unifying connectivity feature.

Cons: This is my 2nd Logitech M705. The first one lasted over a year and I just loved that mouse. So once that died, I decided to get an identical replacement. The 2nd one died after about four month of purchase.
Both the mouse showed same problem. A single left mouse click gets registered as double click. After reading online about other peoples experience online, it looks like it is a common issue. Logitech is using cheap switches inside so if you use the mouse ever day, the switches starts malfunctioning soon.

Other Thoughts: This mouse has a really good design. Logitech should focus on quality. I have other mouses from Microsoft and HP and they never fails. Logitech shouldn't be any different.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good mouse

Pros: Extremely comfortable: I'm not necessarily a "mouse connoisseur," but I can say that of the mice I've used this by far the most comfortable one. Fits my hand perfectly, buttons are all easily accessible, and it has a nice weight to it (but not too heavy).

Good performance: Movement is silky smooth and precise. I guess if you're a big-time gaming enthusiast you should probably go for a gaming mouse, but I played Far Cry 3 with it for a few hours yesterday and it performed very nicely. Certainly much better than the old mouse I had on this computer (an older microsoft optical).

Features: For my purposes, this mouse has a very nice combination of buttons. Not too few, not too many. It has your standard left and right click, the middle click, the vertical scroll wheel which also has the horizontal tilt scroll thing, forward and back thumb buttons, and below those a "hidden" button that by default brings up a task picker thing (kind of like the one on OSX, can't remember the name). You're able to reassign any of these functions with the logitech program.
It also has this "hyperscroll" feature which seemed kind of gimicky at first but I've grown to start using it a lot. With hyperscroll off it scrolls basically like a normal mouse, but if you tap the little toggle below the scroll wheel it allows the wheel to free spin. I've only owned the mouse a few days but it's already becoming second nature to use this feature for scrolling through large documents or webpages.

Battery Life and wireless range: Like I said, I've only owned it a few days so I can't really comment on the battery life. The logitech software says I still have 1093 days of battery life left so we shall see. I also like that it turns itself on and off automatically when not in use so the only time you would have to use the off switch is if you were packing it in a laptop bag or something.
The range seems nice as well. On my setup the receiver is about 4 feet away from the mouse underneath a desk and I've had absolutely no connection issues.

Cons: Just a few nitpicks:

As I mentioned above, the mouse performed exceptionally well.....while on my mouse pad. When I tried it on a semi-glossy wood surface it was definitely still usable but not quite as smooth and precise.

I'm not sure if it's just the mouse I received, but sometimes when I click the toggle to activate the "hyperscroll" feature, the toggle doesn't pop all the way back up so you have to nudge it back it up before you can press it again to deactivate hyperscroll. Doesn't happen a lot and when it does it's just a minor annoyance.

Clicking the scroll wheel by default was set to something other than "middle mouse button." Only had to download the logitech software to change it so it's not a big deal but I guess it could confuse some.

Since it's a refurb it doesn't come with any package, CD, or batteries. Not a problem at all for me but I figured I'd mention it.

Other Thoughts: I saw a couple of reviews on here saying they received a dirty/scratched/well-used product so I was a little bit apprehensive ordering it as this was experience with Neweggs refurbs. Happy to say mine arrived looking like brand new. Not a single scratch, blemish, or speck of dirt. Will definitely look into refurbs again.

I've also seen some reviews of this mouse saying that because the laser sensor is off-center that it screws up the mouse's movement. I use my mouse like most people do (wrist as pivot) and have noticed absolutely no weird/disoriented movements from this mouse. It behaves exactly like you would expect a mouse to. I've played a FPS with it and there's no vertical movement when looking from side to side like those reviews claimed. Just my 2 cents.

4 out of 5 eggsLogitech M705 mouse

Pros: many functions, comfortable

Cons: sometimes setpoint software can be frustrating.

Other Thoughts: great mouse for the money, has all the functions and some more. One function is the ability to open all open windows on the desktop at one time and choose which one you want to bring to the front.I have been using Logitech products for years, and this one is a good one.

4 out of 5 eggsTurned out great

Pros: - 5 buttons
- 4 directional scroll wheel
- Easy change between regular and fast scroll
- Fantastic value

Cons: - Buttons and scroll wheel are spaced a little awkwardly
- Doesn't read motion as perfectly as the very expensive mouses

Other Thoughts: When my $99 logitech mouse broke I loathed the idea of spending so much on a new mouse. The M705 seemed like a nearly identical replacement for a fifth of the cost, but I was worried because of all the bad reviews. But took the plunge and the mouse works great.

1 out of 5 eggsM705 cursor tracking issues

Pros: Worked great while it worked. Thought I was getting a great deal since it was refurbished.

Cons: The mouse cursor does not always follow the movements of the mouse. Sometimes its jumpy or hangs and doesn't move at all not matter what I tried to do to fix it. After googleing it, i found out its a common problem This is the first negative review i've written on newegg after 10+ years of buying computer parts from them. I would buy a different model non-refurbished mouse If i could do over. I'm currently using a $5 labtech backup until I decide what to buy.

Other Thoughts: Logitech won't return it since its refurbished. I've spent so much money on logitech stuff in the past.(First refurbished purchase) This is seriously making me reconsider ever giving them my money again. They shouldn't be reselling a product if it's not made to last. Not to mention their customer support is typical and scripted and its like your not even talking to a human being. Oh well.....

1 out of 5 eggsMouse Trap

Pros: It turns on and looks very nice on pictures on the internet

Cons: The Scroll wheel arrived broken. The scroll wheel feels very cheap.
The mouse will randomly disconnect from the Receiver (new batteries). I am disappointed as this is a known company (Logitech) after all. I bought this for my dad's laptop and he used it for about a day before plugging in his old mouse.
