5 out of 5 eggsExcellent quality, but download the correct drivers

Pros: Great quality sound, good microphone, comfortable too.

Cons: Picks up all the background noise perfectly, use software for noise cancelation. Also, the latest drivers did not work for me and I had to install old drivers.

2 out of 5 eggsMediocre at best

Pros: -Sound was crisp and sounded great when working.
-build quality respectable for the price range

Cons: -very under powered
-didn't work for long, see other comments

Other Thoughts: This headset has a well documented history for mic issues and there is a firmware patch on the logitech support page to fix it. While updating the Logitech gaming software I installed that firmware patch. While plugged into the provided USB adapter, all sound was a static mess. When just using the 3.5mm plugs the sound worked well (even if is was quite quiet), but the mic would not work. The Logitech Gaming Software would not recognize the headset unless it was running through the USB adapter, so I lost the sound equalizer and surround sound function. Given the range of issues on various forums, these are not isolated issues. Even if everything were working correctly, i think there are better choices out there. Returning these to newegg for something else

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad for my first time gaming headset...Not bad at all!

Pros: Got a recommendation from a friend to try this G430 as a middle-grade headset...so I did with reluctance, but as it turns out, I'm more than impressed by it. I actually thought it's quality, comfort and performance would only be okay, but it really overshot any expectations. I was always having fun with games, but now it's really taken everything to a new level of immersive fun. I use it in Battlefield 4, and man oh man, it puts me like in the middle of the action. I can actually hear footsteps and direction they come from! On top of it, it's really comfortable to wear for endless hours, and the ear cups and removable to wash. I'm more than satisfied, and I can't see myself wanting to upgrade anytime soon. It's sooo worth the sixty bucks! I admit it, I'm a noob gamer, and I don't have references to compare it to others, but happy is happy, and I would recommend this to the next noob gamer wanting a bang-for-the-buck headset.

Cons: _ It doesn't have fancy LED lighting, but it's really no big deal. I don't play in the dark anyway.
_ the cord length from the volume control clip on is a tad too long and have been tangled up on occasion.
_ The Mic attracts a touch more noise and makes it tougher to record voice commentary.
_ It fits a bit tight for me, but I may just have too big a head, or may be head sets are suppose to fit tight like this & I just don't know. It's ok though.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible experience. Don't try these

Pros: -None

Cons: Everything

Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these today going off great reviews on the internet. Upon opening they seemed okay. Very Flimsy and not that comfortable. They also were slightly itchy. Continuing on I went to try out the sound and microphone quality. The sound was good, not great but the microphone was an entirely different story. The mic had a constant static and was not loud enough for my friends to hear me. This was while I was trying without the USB adapter. Upon using that the sound no loner worked but the mic sounded okay while it came through my speakers.

2 out of 5 eggsGigantic waste of money

Pros: -Comfortable
-Audio is really good

Cons: When it works none

Other Thoughts: Within 32 days, my computer stopped recognizing it as Logitech G430, and instead it was "USB Advanced Audio Device". and come to find out, at some point or other that happens to everyone, regardless of OS or System, and no one seems to know how to fix it.

Good Job, Logitech

3 out of 5 eggsGreat sound quality

Pros: - Sound quality is really good
- Mic is very clear
- Comfortable

Cons: - Build Quality. This thing, as soon as I took it out of the box, felt like it was going to break apart. The cord is very cheaply made as well. To use with extreme caution but at least it has a good warranty.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get it for $60 for boxing day which is very reasonable for this headset, however, I don't think I would pay more than that

1 out of 5 eggsBroke

Pros: Over the ear really isolates sound coming from the real world. Covers the ear completely. Comfortable.

Cons: Broke after less than 6 months as has been said before they plastic above the ear cups crack and fall off. This is what holds the speaker onto the headband, and once these break the ear cup will just fall right off. I looked inside and there's just a square peg inside holding the whole thing in place.

The mic mute switch on the little USB dongle fell out. Had to use a pocket knife to unmute the mic

Tried to take the cloth off the ear cups to wash, the bracket stayed in place, ripping the plastic all around the ear cup. Currently in the trash awaiting disposal.

Other Thoughts: Didn't order this from newegg, bought at a retail store. Just thought I'd let others know this is a plastic brick and not worth your money.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat sound, but of cheap make.

Pros: Great audio quality
Great software for sound management

Cons: Weak construction
Headset is rather thin, wide-headed people beware.

Other Thoughts: I have a wide head, so this headset is terrible for me. The earmuffs broke outward multiple times at their attachment to the headband. I had to glue them back together every time, but I can't this time so I'm giving up on them. If you have a wide head, or think you do, avoid this headset. It's a great price and great quality, but it's not going to last long if your head doesn't work with it. They'll just break, like mine did.

2 out of 5 eggsMic is terrible

Pros: It's comfortable and has a good incoming audio. Software is robust enough to balance the levels to get the right sound.

Cons: The mic levels are absolutely terrible and it apparently is a real problem with a lot of users who have this. This arguably the most important thing ton the headset and it's absolutely terrible. I am thinking of returning this or RMA'ing this set back to Logitech. I can't help but feel like there is something wrong with it. For a company that is known for quality the Mic on this thing is the biggest disappointment I've had in years, especially after replacing a really good wireless logitech headset that broke after almost 4 years

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound!

Pros: The Color Was The Main Selling Point For Me
The Virtual Surround Is Awesome
The Audio Itself Is Great

Cons: The Build Quality Isn't So Good....Cheap plastic

Other Thoughts: I take care of my items but my younger brother doesn't. He's the reason I gave them a 4/5 star. I'm now in search of a new pair of headphones. I would buy another pair if the hinges were aluminum vs plastic.
