4 out of 5 eggsGreat! But...

Pros: Great sound. Long (excessively) cable. Separate mic and headphone cord. Volume and mute button on clip. Looks nice. Fits my tiny head. Sounds great for music, even better than my $100 "studio" headset.

Cons: Must use the USB adapter or similar adapter to achieve full potential. I can't tell where the individual audio channels are except when I know the specific sounds corresponding to each channel.

Other Thoughts: This headset requires a decent audio output device and a decent DAC (as well as high quality audio source). Sure, a phone or MP3 player is compatible in stereo. Sure a standard 3.5mm audio output from a laptop or PC would work, but you'd be loosing some sound quality by not using the USB adapter. Overall GREAT buy.

2 out of 5 eggsOh Snap! my headset snapped apart.

Pros: They sound good, and the mic works fine.

Cons: The plastic arm on the side of one of the ear cuffs broke in 2 places with only the pressure of me holding them. So it's rather a poor design, or cheap materials holding it together. Now I got a piece of it rattling around in the right ear, and held together by duct tape for the time being. I've owned these since about may 2014, Its sorta funny that I got this one cause the cable is nicely braided so it doesnt snap like my previous one, and now it just snaps apart for no reason. So if you want a headset the holds together for maybe a year, then here ya go. ::rattle rattle rattle::

5 out of 5 eggsQuality per price

Pros: I wear glasses and still doesn't hurt my ears. Quality microphone. Best for it's price range.

Cons: It hurts the top of the head after a while but after that long it's time for a short break anyway

Other Thoughts: not really sure what to think about the Logitech gaming software that goes with this. All of my Logitech products in the past never lasted more than 8 months. I am taking super good care of this one to try to make it last.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade from Turtle beach!

Pros: Was a little iffy at first because of the pricepoint, by that I mean its only $60 and I could have easily spent it on another headset but I didnt. This one has fantastic surround sound! I can hear everything needed in my games. Although its ok for music, could be better and I'm saying this after using DFX audio enhancer. Another thing I was impressed with was fitment and noise cancellation! It is an amazing budget headset and I would highly reccomend to others!

Cons: Doesnt have tremendous bass, but with DFX Audio Enhancer that pretty much fixes that! Its enough to where it isnt overwhelming.

4 out of 5 eggsGood headset for the price!

Pros: - Good support for any size of head (I have a really big one)
- Earpads are not crushing your ears, they are the type that goes around your ears
- Great surround sound in game, for music and on Skype

Cons: - They loose an egg because there is a problem of connection, often due to the USB dongle (only in chat rooms).

3 out of 5 eggsGreat headphones, poor support.

Pros: The headset has very clear sound. Good for music and i use it mostly for games such as arma 3. Surround sound is very good. Plenty of cable to move around with.

Cons: Logitech driver software and support is pretty unimpressive.

Firstly, in some cases i have been using TeamsSpeak when the microphone would connect and disconnect repeatedly. Logitech was of no help, but i discovered i had to change the frequency pickup of the Microphone to solve this to a lower quality.

Voice changing is not permited on the 430's but i have a G710+ keyboard so i set the hotkeys to enable the voices.

Lastly, and the most annoying feature. You cannot adjust the Pre-amp of the equalizer. They claim that it is restricted due to EU regulations, but i live in the US and i fail to see why the laws in another country affect my product. They offer no other options so if something isn't quite loud enough, to them your out of luck
.

Other Thoughts: I've enjoyed most of my logitech products, but if i ever go to buy anything again, ill look elsewhere. Support is just unimpressive and ruined the headphones for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset for the cost

Pros: + Virtual Surround Sound is usually great.
+ Cord is really long.
+ Mic quality is fairly good - not the best, but very little background noise is caught.
+ Mic is flexible.
+ Sound quality through the USB dongle is great.
+ Washable earpads
+ Earcups seal out noise pretty well. I can't hear people in the same room as me talking.
+ Only minor signs of wear on this after more than a year (some slight staining on the metal sliders for the earcups; a bit of rubber flaking off)

Cons: - Sound quality is a bit crackle-y through the regular audio port.
- The surround sound can occasionally bug out (i.e. some SFX in games will only come through the right earcup)

Other Thoughts: I'm really pleased with this after about a year and a half of owning it. It remains comfortable during extended wear, it shows only minor signs of wear and tear, and I've had no real issues with it in over a year.

There is one bug with the surround sound; occasionally some audio will only be routed through the right channel. Usually restarting whatever program is being routed incorrectly, but with some weird combinations (i.e. The Binding of Isaac Rebirth + any music player), one program (in this case, Isaac Rebirth) will be routed through the right ear.

That happens very rarely and only happens if you use the USB dongle. If you just plug the headset in through the standard audio jack, it'll be recognized as a stereo device and audio will route properly.

3 out of 5 eggsLogitech G430

Pros: This headset gets the job done if you're rolling on a budget. It has the features for wide compatibility. I love the long cable you are given as I had to run it a somewhat long distance to have it plugged into my microphone on a stand. It has a very nice sound quality to it for the price range as well! The build quality on this headset is fair for the price range, given that this is close to Logitech's entry level product of the G series headset. As for the microphone quality I never did use it, since I had it running through a Blue Yeti microphone.

Cons: (Please take into account this may not be the case for you, we all have different head shapes. Mine may not be what was ideal for this headset) Now onto why I rated it only 3 stars, this is the second most uncomfortable thing I have worn next to the PS3's Bluetooth earpiece. When I wore it I had to put on a beanie just to give some extra cushion for my ears and the top of my head. The material used on the ear cups and the underside of the top band were too tough for my liking. I tried many different positions for the headset to ease this discomfort but I wasn't able to remedy it at all, I've since retired the G430.

Other Thoughts: Now I bash the comfort of this thing but keep in mind this isn't Logitech's top dog headset, it is what it is. It is, however, a Logitech so it will last you a while. When I retired mine it wasn't because it broke of was giving me hardware issues, it was only because of my discomfort level while using the headset. I'm sure this thing would've stayed kickin' for years to come.

5 out of 5 eggswicked headset

Pros: Great audio quality, 3d surround is great. The mic is super smooth on the audio pickup and noise cancellation in the software does wonders on TeamSpeak.

Super comfy ear covers as well i do heavy multi day gaming sessions and get very limited ear fatigue in the process. also interfaces well with skype.

also the cable is super long and good quality.

Cons: On standard audio jack *(without the 3d surround dongle) the audio is very scratchy and the drivers only work on windows for the dongle/software so my linux and mac boxes are not using this thing.

the rubberized coating is starting to flake in a few spots at almost the 1 year mark.

Other Thoughts: overall super nice and comfy highly recommend.

4 out of 5 eggsKinda Silly :)

Pros: Great sound quality, it's a very nice headset for the price I paid. Definitely something to look at.

Cons: You better know this cool tip that I didn't know! When you are putting the mic and headphones into the usb adapater, make sure you press them in hard until they CLICK! There are so many forum posts about this issue and you will never find out how to fix it without doing that. I went a week or so with only the left ear working and that was because I didn't input them hard enough. I hope this helps some people! Good luck!
