4 out of 5 eggsQuick Left Click Wear

Pros: This mouse has a few handy features. In addition to the on/off switch underneath, it just goes into a sleep mode after a few seconds of being out of use, so it preserves its battery life very well. At any rate, the power switch is more for preventing a nudge accidentally springing a laptop or computer to life. It feels like I only have to charge the mouse once a month, and it continues working while charging. That may seem like a no-brainer, but I've heard of devices that cease to function while charging. The mouse wheel has a button that toggles whether it is a ratcheted wheel, or one that you can spin freely. Overall, it's a great product.

Cons: Maybe I have a different view of refurbished items than most people, but the way I see it is that refurbished items have basically gone through quality control twice. There's no reason for a refurb to have a shorter shelf life than a brand new item. With light usage, the left click button on my mouse has degraded considerably. Pressing the button can produce no feedback, or as many as six instances of feedback all at once. For context, I consider light usage to be web browsing only. I don't play any FPS games or run any programs that would require excessive pressing of a single button. Luckily I'm using a laptop, so my solution is to rest my left hand on the touchpad mouse buttons while I use the actual mouse to navigate the on-screen cursor, but I'd be much happier with my actual mouse if the left click hadn't died out on it so quickly.

For a complaint not related to whether the item was refurbished or not: the ergonomics aren't exactly great. I know ergonomics can never be perfect, and it's always on a case by case basis, but I can't really comfortably hold the mouse the way it seems as though one is intended to hold it. I ended up just resting my hand over the top of it, and that works out well. Ergonomics don't work very well when they're flat out ignored.

Other Thoughts: I fully understand I shouldn't expect perfection from a refurbished product, but in a way I expect it anyway. Just because the left click on my mouse wore down within half a year doesn't mean every refurb of this mouse will have the same issue.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's awesome, but a little annoying on the hand

Pros: It has many functions and programmable buttons, as well as the mouse is large which is good for larger hands, like mine (I'm 6.1"). Also I like where you can switch between regular scroll and super fast scroll at the click of a button. The mouse itself also has an awesome design. I'm cool with the whole way the battery works.

Cons: The one problem I have... it's not very comfortable for the thumb, I think it should have gotten a bit slimmer on the bottom back to better accommodate the resting thumb. At the moment I'm bending me thumb for comfort.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great. Ugly gash in bottom

Pros: Everything about this mouse is great. Really comfortable to use. Fits my head excellently. Responsive and solid battery life

Cons: Pretty gnarly gash on the bottom of this mouse. Looks like an Exacto knife encountered it. But whatever... it was cheap refurbished and the gash is on the bottom. Out of sight, out of mind.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed.

Pros: The price was good at $40, the fit and feel of the hand is what I was expecting as my previous was the MX1000, though button placement's just a little different on the side. Most everything was there, everything that was needed. Battery life is pretty respectable, 4-5 days with continuous use in my case. I can't personally complain. I already had drivers otherwise with the G15 I own and the mentioned MX1000, so all I did was plug the wireless dongle and let the computer do the rest.

Cons: There was one thing missing from the package, the actual cable to hook the mouse to the PC itself rather than use the dongle, so I have to recharge it with the adapter rather than just leave it hooked to the computer. I wasn't too surprised as it's a refurb and there's always a disclaimer for refurbs and open boxes to possibly be missing things such as instructions and software discs. As a note as well, the aforementioned dongle was stored in the mouse in the battery compartment as well, so if you're like me and wondering why the batteries won't go in or if there's a rattling noise when you first get it, that's why.

Other Thoughts: Like I said, it's a refurbished mouse so you might not get a full and complete package. That may or not work for you, but in my case, the mouse "hooks" up, charges, the cursor tracks perfectly, buttons feel solid and the condition was essentially new for me. Also, being refurbished, as some reviews have demonstrated, things might not go as smoothly for you as it did for me, but if you have the time and patience, give it a try. No regrets here, good product.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Larger size, thumb buttons, unifying wireless connection. I haven't tried the darkfield laser on glass yet, but that is one reason for the purchase.

Cons: The wear pads on the bottom are warped and not smooth. I'm assuming this is where the thing was opened up during refurbishment. The buggered pads should have been replaced with new, to be truly refurbished.

1 out of 5 eggsUsed and abused

Coming Soon!

Pros: None

Cons: The mouse I received looks like its been used for years. There is actually "sweaty hand scum" in the crevices of the mouse and on the scroll wheel. I have never seen a more disgusting mouse before in my life. Something inside the mouse is rattling. It doesn't sound right.

Other Thoughts: The online refund/replace screen won't let me get a refund, maybe because its supposedly refurbished. My only option is a replacement, but honestly i'm afraid of getting another disgusting mouse. Let's see how this goes.

1 out of 5 eggsawful tracking performance

Pros: none

Cons: Tracking is very inaccurate on all surfaces. Triied many proposed fixes, none worked - I have Logitech m705 mouse and Logitech k400r keyboard - both wireless and both work just great - this mouse just cannot track properly. :(
