5 out of 5 eggsBest Basic Mouse EVER!!

Pros: Just Works, Installs quickly and keeps working!!
The optical sensor is not fancy but is solid.
Has 3 buttons if counting the scroll click.
Trust me this is a PRO!!
Really who need more 3 buttons, really?
Works with both right and left-handed people.
I also like the red light on the bottom.

Cons: Microsoft doesn't make this product any more.
I guess Microsoft must hate money.
I'm sad I cannot buy this mouse. :-(
If I could, I'd buy 10 on a regular basis as stock for my company.

2 out of 5 eggsMS 1000 mouse

Pros: Optical system operates OK, but:

Cons: Scroll wheel is uneven, Tightens up then gets loose on every complete turn. You can do better than this.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ambidextrous design, functions relatively well, good mouse for the price.

Cons: Ambidextrous design, quite small for those of us with larger hands, scroll wheel is rather stiff, button sensitivity died off after 8 months.

Other Thoughts: As previously stated, the size of this mouse, combined with it's ambidextrous design make it a less than ideal choice for larger hands. I actually had to curl my fingers backwards to press the buttons.
All-in-all it's an adequate mouse, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything but remedial tasks.

4 out of 5 eggsNice mouse but...

Pros: Very comfortable mouse. Does not seem light or flimsy. I use this mouse for my office and it gets daily usage of about 6 hours a day. Scroll wheel is very nice, does not stutter when scrolling as I've seen with some cheaper ones. Overall a nice mouse for the price

Cons: I'm actually on my second mouse. The right click stopped working a few days before having it a year.

Other Thoughts: We have 4 of these in our office and only one had the right click problem. 5 stars though to NewEgg for quickly replacing the mouse under warranty. A definate reason I always purchase here.

4 out of 5 eggsDriver is a must-have

Pros: Size is perfect, unlike my IntelliMouse Explorer 4.0A which is too large for my hand. No problem with buttons or construction. Slides smoothly. Shape is good for right or left users.

Cons: Without loading the IntelliPoint driver, this mouse is far too jumpy and the scroll wheel doesn't scroll smoothly.

I'd prefer the option of not installing IntelliPoint. Not using IntelliPoint is unworkable.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse from another retailer, not NewEgg. I probably would have made another choice based on what I said about the driver.

** Note: no CD is included. You must download the installer. That's OK by me.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the money

Pros: Responsive clicking, good tracking (Counter Strike certifiable), inexpensive.

Cons: Two comfort issues:

- The mouse wheel doesn't roll very smoothly

- I typically don't like the right/left handed mice because they're not as comfortable to grip

3 out of 5 eggsAlright mouse, too small.

Pros: Shiny, nice design. Tracks smoothly.

Cons: Buttons slightly too stiff due to 1 piece shell design. Mouse wheel is clunky and feels like I'm operating machinery.

Other Thoughts: My old skool Intellimouse Explorer just bit the dust. While I am still mourning my loss, the Comfort Mouse series is not a good replacement. The new Explorer is rated as unreliable; one should perhaps spring for the L***tech.
