4 out of 5 eggsBuy based on your usage

Pros: Have had for a little over a year without any problems. Worked great, love the click-less scroll wheel. Good mouse for the money, but...................

Cons: Mouse does tend to use batteries if used alot. After a year the left click button is failing, so I needed to replace the mouse. Expected mouse to last longer.

Other Thoughts: For web surfing and daily computer tasks this is a great product. Feels good in the hand and works fine. If you are a gamer, like myself, this is not the product for you. You will use a lot of batteries, and the click buttons will not hold up to constant use.

2 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft intellimouse 2.0

Pros: none, unable to complete connection from mouse to receiver

Cons: Disapointed in Microsoft product. wireless mouse will not connect to receiver. Downloaded driver, all status pager show properly installed. no action from mouse to receiver

Other Thoughts: Strongly suggest making this install program more "user friendly"

2 out of 5 eggsOK but battery runs out quickly

Pros: Comfortable

Cons: The Battery runs out quickly and there is no off button (at least not that I know of-have to take out the battery)...also the usb attachement is very big and bulky. Wish I bought a mouse with a small USB and an off button.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat mouse for great price

Pros: i bought this to replace my wired intellimouse explorer that i've had for years. i've only had this for 1 day, but for the price this is a great mouse. i haven't experienced any lag, or delay in response. the clicks are very quiet. the build quality feels alittle cheaper than their older mice, but it's still decent quality. i use a logitech vx nano for notebooks and i can tell logitech has better build quality over microsoft nowadays.

Cons: the scroll button is alittle stiff as others have said, but still useable and not really a big problem. it just isn't silky smooth like the logitech vx nano. i wish the back/forward buttons were alittle lower and bigger. i was disappointed in newegg's packaging as this came in a yellow padded envelope instead of a small box.

2 out of 5 eggsSpotty wireless

Pros: Like the design, though it would have taken some getting used to as it's much larger than any other mice I've used. Buttons are very quiet, no bright visible lighting.

Cons: Wireless is very spotty. At what seems like random intervals, it will stop registering movement or clicks for a split second; very annoying for a competitive gamer. Side buttons are also too small compared to other products on the market, and the top button is poorly placed.

Other Thoughts: Returning this for a wired model, which will be the plain white, too bad since this one matches my rig's black/silver perfectly. My girlfriend has a wireless mouse from Logitech with her laptop that works flawlessly, so I'd assumed overall that wireless mouse tech had improved over the years. I suppose not.

5 out of 5 eggsbest microsoft mouse

Pros: this is my second time buying this mouse. the first time i bought it was about 4 or 5 years ago. since the very first day i bought it, i have never had a single complaint. the only reason i bought this one was b/c my first mouse was starting to deteriorate from years of daily use (i.e. the rubber was starting to wear off in certain areas).

Cons: i don't understand why there aren't more 5-button optical mouses (mice?) like this one.

Other Thoughts: i hope they never discontinue this line. otherwise, i might have to stock up and buy a half-dozen to last me.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mouse for $

Pros: very comfortable grip. vista 64 bit the CD it will tell you automatically you are not compatible, but it sends you to site to get update. hopefully it will last as long as last mouse.

Cons: very sensitve u will have to turn down the pointer speed. but not really a con.

Other Thoughts: wireless keyboard will go good with it, cut down all the cable clutter.

- Comfortable
- Works on any surface

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse for the money

Pros: I've had this mouse for over a year now. In fact, I was surprised that it is still available -- figuring that Microsoft would have changed it to add something different to their line-up. The mouse is comfortable for right-handed users and all of the buttons -- except the middle roller -- are quiet when clicked. I use it every day, all day most of the time, and the batteries last me at least 3 months.

Cons: none worth counting as a "con." see "Other Thoughts."

Other Thoughts: The middle roller is a stiff click, but hardly worth mentioning as a negative. I would give it 5 stars if the middle roller was a softer click and if the mouse actually made my breakfast in the morning. ;)
