3 out of 5 eggsDecent Mouse

Pros: +Comfortable design
+Nice battery life
+Doesn't quit on you randomly
+You don't really need to shut the mouse off, it shuts itself off after non use (although it still might drain the battery)

Cons: -Very short range: It only has the range of like 3 feet. It also has a very strange side effect, certain usb ports being used by external hdd's the mouse won't work. I have tested all the usb ports, they all work fine, but the USB receiver seems to malfunction unless i have the USB receiver on the front USB ports on my pc. Tried this with both my pc's as well. It's not affected when i am using the KVM switch. I determined it was the USB cord for my external hdd.

-Mouse wheel is flimsy: Had this mouse for several weeks the mouse wheel stopped functioning properly. Sometimes though it worked just fine. Wondering why i took the mouse apart & the actual wheel mechanism is fine, but the little plastic pipe that is used to turn the mechanism isn't long enough. I thought the end piece broke off but the end of it is worn out. This could be fixed i think but it looks extremely flimsy. Makes me wonder why this was neglected.

-Low battery doesn't work when battery is dying

Other Thoughts: I kind of fixed the mouse tracking wheel by applying pressure of the wheel towards the tracking mechanism & that seems to work for now. I don't really require distance when operating the mouse but i won't try it again. The mouse has a very comfortable design & if the mouse itself was built more reliable i would buy another one in the future but i would look for a different mouse.

1 out of 5 eggsDied for no reason

Pros: It was okay while it worked

Cons: I only had this thing sitting on a desk with the USB dongle parked inside for a few months, and I just tried it - doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: I had a Microsoft "wave" keyboard that was sitting around IN THE BOX - shortly after I started using it (which was of course going to be pass the return period and the receipt lost) I found it has a bad key. Brand new.

I've never had issues like these with other brands or Microsofts older keyboards and mice. Chances are the quality is just lower as far as I'm concerned.

I won't be buying Microsoft input devices anymore. Well maybe in the extremely unlikely event they bring about world peace.

3 out of 5 eggsNotebooks only

Pros: Small, USB adapter and mouse snap together. Even though I have big hands, this little mouse fits nicely in my fingers.

Cons: Bad Transmit/Receive power...Short Range.
No auto shutoff, you must put the USB adapter back inside the mouse to turn it off. The USB transmitter is a bit large. I've owned two, the first one broke after a few months.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap ...and portable. I'd only recommend using it with a laptop.

If you use a mouse on your laptop frequently, you might want to get a full sized mouse, with a small transmitter instead.

This is just a convenient, cheap, backup mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, basic mouse

Pros: Long battery life.
Small.
Works as intended.
USB receiver tucks into bottom of mouse.
Compatible with Snowlepoard, Windows XP and Windows 7

Cons: Battery little pain to remove.
No frills (isn't really a con).
USB receiver extends from the computer about 1.5"

Other Thoughts: I've had this mouse for 4-5 years. I have used it on two desktop systems, a Macbook and now a Windows laptop. I intend on getting a second for another laptop that I purchased for work. Can't go wrong for a basic, wireless, optical and portable mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsBest one I had. Period

Pros: I got it as a gift back 2002-2003, and it finally gave up I think about a year and half to 2 years ago... anyway it lasted more than 7-8 years of almost daily usage.

Cons: I wish it had more buttons, and the usb insert would have been a little smaller.

Other Thoughts: That is a small price to pay for the bigger u s b insert. I am going to purchase another 1 today, because my dynex cheap mouse gave up, after 3 mo.

5 out of 5 eggsRugged, Spartan and Reliable.

Pros: This mouse is great for a laptop user or someone that need a short range wireless mouse. It has exceptional battery life, esepcially if you mount the receiver into the mouse base when not in use - which is also a great feature for travelling.

Cons: None - for less than $20 you shoudn't expect a performance or gaming quality mouse. This mouse excels as a day-to-day workhorse for web surfring and working.

Other Thoughts: I've used mine for two-years and bought one for my wife to use when she travels for business. I would recommend this mouse to everyone for non-gaming use. For games I use a Razor Orochi.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little mouse

Pros: Very simple, easy. Plug-n-play just worked in WinXP, Vista, 7, (I think it triggered a driver download in Windows) and Linux Mint. Goes into power save mode when "idle" but picks right up immediately when used again. Only need to use occasionally, and still on my original battery after 7 months, even when uncradled all day a few times.

Cons: Range is not great, but I didn't buy it to use across the room.

Other Thoughts: Took a minute to figure out how to open the battery compartment. Own two, have not been disappointed.
