1 out of 5 eggsMicorosft wireless mouse

Pros: None

Cons: Which should i write here. Bad connection, unergonomic. Slow.. Stops working randomly.. Bad bad bad.

Other Thoughts: After smashing this thing on the wall, I switched to Logitec M series (any will do). Since then, I'm not using anything..

4 out of 5 eggsWorked well until I dropped it down concrete staircase...

Pros: Its wireless and cheap.

Cons: Because its wireless and cheap, a lot of other people at my school happen to have the same mouse. At my school we are required to work together in tight groups, less than 2 feet apart from each other, and the interference between the mice was to much for them to operate. If i moved the mouse more than 8 inches from the receiver than i would loose the signal. At home away from other mice though it works perfectly for its price.

Also, because of its small size, clicking it the buttons moved the whole mouse around, and sometimes i could accidentally end up dragging files into other folders when i double clicked to open them. Laugh now, but you will do it too. What i learned from this is that I prefer full length mice because its easier to brace them in your hand when you click the buttons.

Other Thoughts: Cheap wireless mouse works good. Interference wont be a problem for most people probably. Also, dont drop it down a concrete stairs, it will not survive. I had to buy a new mouse, but i ended up getting a wired mouse just to avoid any interference from other mice.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat's the point?

Pros: No cord?

Cons: Very limited range. Would not work over 2 feet away from the receiver. What's the point?

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Mouse

Pros: +Comfortable design
+Nice battery life
+Doesn't quit on you randomly
+You don't really need to shut the mouse off, it shuts itself off after non use (although it still might drain the battery)

Cons: -Very short range: It only has the range of like 3 feet. It also has a very strange side effect, certain usb ports being used by external hdd's the mouse won't work. I have tested all the usb ports, they all work fine, but the USB receiver seems to malfunction unless i have the USB receiver on the front USB ports on my pc. Tried this with both my pc's as well. It's not affected when i am using the KVM switch. I determined it was the USB cord for my external hdd.

-Mouse wheel is flimsy: Had this mouse for several weeks the mouse wheel stopped functioning properly. Sometimes though it worked just fine. Wondering why i took the mouse apart & the actual wheel mechanism is fine, but the little plastic pipe that is used to turn the mechanism isn't long enough. I thought the end piece broke off but the end of it is worn out. This could be fixed i think but it looks extremely flimsy. Makes me wonder why this was neglected.

-Low battery doesn't work when battery is dying

Other Thoughts: I kind of fixed the mouse tracking wheel by applying pressure of the wheel towards the tracking mechanism & that seems to work for now. I don't really require distance when operating the mouse but i won't try it again. The mouse has a very comfortable design & if the mouse itself was built more reliable i would buy another one in the future but i would look for a different mouse.

1 out of 5 eggsDied for no reason

Pros: It was okay while it worked

Cons: I only had this thing sitting on a desk with the USB dongle parked inside for a few months, and I just tried it - doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: I had a Microsoft "wave" keyboard that was sitting around IN THE BOX - shortly after I started using it (which was of course going to be pass the return period and the receipt lost) I found it has a bad key. Brand new.

I've never had issues like these with other brands or Microsofts older keyboards and mice. Chances are the quality is just lower as far as I'm concerned.

I won't be buying Microsoft input devices anymore. Well maybe in the extremely unlikely event they bring about world peace.

3 out of 5 eggsNotebooks only

Pros: Small, USB adapter and mouse snap together. Even though I have big hands, this little mouse fits nicely in my fingers.

Cons: Bad Transmit/Receive power...Short Range.
No auto shutoff, you must put the USB adapter back inside the mouse to turn it off. The USB transmitter is a bit large. I've owned two, the first one broke after a few months.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap ...and portable. I'd only recommend using it with a laptop.

If you use a mouse on your laptop frequently, you might want to get a full sized mouse, with a small transmitter instead.

This is just a convenient, cheap, backup mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, basic mouse

Pros: Long battery life.
Works as intended.
USB receiver tucks into bottom of mouse.
Compatible with Snowlepoard, Windows XP and Windows 7

Cons: Battery little pain to remove.
No frills (isn't really a con).
USB receiver extends from the computer about 1.5"

Other Thoughts: I've had this mouse for 4-5 years. I have used it on two desktop systems, a Macbook and now a Windows laptop. I intend on getting a second for another laptop that I purchased for work. Can't go wrong for a basic, wireless, optical and portable mouse.
