Good stuff
- Pros: It's just a standard wireless XBox 360 controller that comes with a USB receiver that works with Windows. This receiver works a lot like a real 360's controller system. For example, if you have it plugged into your computer, and also connect a controller via a play-and-charge cable to your computer, the controller will automatically connect to your computer. Of course the controller is also compatible with an actual 360, since it really is just a 360 controller.
- Cons: Only thing I can think of is you can't use the guide button (the big X in the middle) for your own purposes. Also these things are very sturdy, but won't put up with constant abuse. Like any controller, if you get annoyed and throw your controllers around a lot, they WILL eventually break.
- Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the receiver had a ring of lights indicating which controllers were connected (like the 360 does). No biggie.
Very poor hardware/warranty
- Pros: Nice controller when it worked.
- Cons: Receiver just stopped working after 6 months. In total, I used the controller only a few hours. I still had the original double A batteries in it. I called Microsoft tech support and the only thing they offered to do was sell me a new one. I do a lot of computer work and professional A/V installations, and feel I can no longer recommend any Microsoft hardware. This product was barely used and failed castastrophically.
- Other Thoughts: Buy Logitech. Better products, better warranty, and better tech support.
One year one month and one day - DEAD:(
- Pros: Fun while it lasted? PS, the unit shuts it self off to save batteries after about 10mins of non-use... Not interchangable between two differant units?/differant frequencies so you may be able to use more than one at a time in the same room/two player??
- Cons: Reciever went bad/burnt up/went out, now worthless:( I now unplug the reciever on the new one when not in use! Has only worked well on only NFS games which I bought months later, so it only got used for 6 adult months/rairly at that...... Had to use Xpadder software on anything else, and never did get it dialed-in enough to use.
- Other Thoughts: I am not a big game junkie either so it's really pricey @ $ per use before it went bad, hope the new one lasts! New Egg still ROCKS even though I was impatient this time when it broke, I managed to get the second one locally @ the same $ luckly...
