Pros: A good optical scrolling mouse. Accurate and fast. Lots of buttons in convenient places. PS2/USB. Comfortable in either hand. I've had this mouse for 3 years, and I've used it a LOT, and it's still going strong. It's survived and performed well in Call of Duty, Counter Strike, and many other games.
Cons: Very minor complaint, I sometimes accidently hit the side buttons when I reach for the mouse.
Other Thoughts: I purchased one of these when I built my first computer in 2003, and I've upgraded/replaced nearly everything on my computer since then. I recently purchased a Logitech G5 to replace this mouse because I've read so many positive reviews about it so I figured "old reliable" would be no competition for the G5, but I'll end up returning the G5 instead.

BEST MOUSE EVER

Pros: This mouse is great for anything and especially gaming. Last time I bought this, I got 4 of them because I was worried that Microsoft might discontinue them some day. That was about 5 years ago. Still have 2 left. They have survived much abusive gaming, spills and other torture.

Other Thoughts: The two side buttons are great for adding a couple of other gaming binds. This mouse is just right. Not too many buttons, not too little.

Pros: This mouse is great for gaming. It has the best stop/click distance for the wheel. Perfect for when you use the mouse in games for say weapon menu selection or something similar. Best side button placement. I hope they never stop making this 1 :)
Cons: Non I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Newegg's service and shipping are mind bogglingly fast as usual. This mouse is 1 of the few things M$ has does perfectly.

Frustrating in many ways

Pros: It's a mouse, and it works as described.
Cons: The two side buttons are obnoxiously placed. While browsing the internet, it's very, very easy to accidentally hit one of them, sending you back or forward a page, just based on the way I (and I assume others) generally hold mice. I've had side buttons on mice before, but these are positioned in the perfect place to be accidentally hit, and to add to the difficulties, they both tend to be very, very sensitive.
The mouse is also awkwardly shaped. It's bulky and large, and I still haven't gotten used to it.

Pros: Ambidextrous. Cheap. Amazingly comfortable for both big and small hands. Great side buttons that are easy to hit (that I've never once hit accidentally). Silky button presses with exactly the right amount of (minimal) resistance--even the middle click!
Cons: The bright red LED on the back is annoying in a dark room.
Other Thoughts: The "wide" ticks of the scroll wheel is absolutely perfect for gaming, but not as great for browsing.
