The reason I said that they are durable is because I play a lot of games. Not a day goes by without some intense clicking. Now, I've never owned an actual gaming mouse, but I plan to purchase one next because the current mouse I am using, the Microsoft basic, broke after a heavy session of GW2. (By broke, I mean the left click only works if I press it near the mousewheel, so it really is rather functional, just not ideal when I'm getting flanked by people on BF3 and my gun doesn't shoot). Cons: Sometimes malfunctions by the left button acting as the right, a simple unplug and plug fixes it but can sometimes get annoying. Other Thoughts: The "loud" clicks mentioned in other comments are a non-factor and should not influence your decision at all.
