Pros: As it turns out, the red lights don't stay on while its uncorded, so it actually looks perfectly fine 90% of the time. All my other peripherals glow blue so it was lame to have to buy a red LED mouse, but the mamba didn't seem like a good idea.
* Ergonomic, fits my average sized hands perfectly * Uses an AA battery so you can bring an extra * All the buttons feel great, side ones are perfect. * Much cheaper than the razer mamba for 99% of the same features and abilities.
Cons: software is super ugly, DPI indicator is super ugly, hockey puck dock thing is super ugly.
Its totally worth it though. The puck is pretty convenient as a charger, the dpi indicator fades off after you use it, and the software functions just fine. Just, please, microsoft, hire some product designers...

Pros: Great comfortable mouse. Scroll wheel on the mouse that most people complain isn't that bad. It took awhile to get used to the high level sensitvity because I was using a G5 mouse before. So, big difference there. Glad I have waited at the right time for this to come out because I was either going for a Razer Lanchisis or a Logitech G9.
Cons: Not really a con to me. It doesn't respond great on regular mousepads. So I order a Razer exact mat, which works really great with and makes a big difference in my gaming, when I'm playing Battlefield 2 or 2142. Wish it had to option to manual configure the senestivity, if anyone had a logitech mouse, you know what I'm talking about. Also I wish Microsoft would added a 5 mode sensesitivity, but no big deal to me.
Other Thoughts: One of the best mouses I have purchase so far. I really enjoyed switching from a g5 to a Sidewinder X8 to make a really big difference on gaming and other things. Tryout the Razer exact mat, it really will make a difference to your response on the bluetrack, and high response on sensitivity levels.

Cons: HEAVY. This mouse is really heavy if you are used to picking up the mouse off the mousepad every once in a while. Not as customizable buttons as i hoped for out of 12 buttons

Pros: * Support for Windows 7 - I run Win7 x64 Ultimate. Downloaded updated Sidewinder s/w from Microsoft and never had a glitch. * Nice hand feel - I have large hands and find it very comfortable even for several hours * Switchable resolution - I don't use it much in gaming, but when I'm doing my graphic art work, it's nice to be able to get more control over my cursor.
Cons: * Maybe too big? - Although I listed size as a pro above, my wife (who's hands are considerably smaller than mine) doesn't like the feel of the mouse at all. * Wireless? - Personally I don't really care about wireless mice. I work on my computer at my desk. But since the puck sits on top of the desk, I leave it connected to the charger all the time. * Price - Yeah, it's a bit pricey for a mouse, but so far after about 2.5 months of ownership, it's running fine. Overall value will be determined by when it finally fails on me (as all hardware seems to do eventually)
Other Thoughts: I was set to try another gaming series mouse, but since I had Win7 x64, neither Logitech nor Razr had any other options. Now, having programmed macros for several of my games and my graphics programs (and having the Sidewinder software automatically realize what program I was running), I'll probably stick with the Microsoft product lines.

Pros: I had never used a mouse with a DPI rating this high and I'm greatly impressed. With the ability to change the DPI buttons to just about any sensitivity you want, this is also an extremely customizable mouse. The on-the-fly macro recorder is also a plus, press it, press the button to assign it to, record the macro, press the macro button again, done! No lag! The puck, while a little larger than necessary, is a very cool idea, it's a wireless reciever, replaceable feet holder, and a charger all in one. If you have a small 3x3" space on your desk near the mouse, it's perfect. The thumb buttons are perfectly placed and the mouse is ergonomic...
Cons: ...only if your hands are big enough. I have rather small hands, but they're still big enough to use this mouse (which is what I was worried about). The replaceable feet seem to do absolutely nothing for me on any surface I use (if anyone has their intended surfaces corresponding with their color, I'd be interested to see what they are for).
Other Thoughts: I got this mouse primarily for the macros so I could use them even in photoshop, for example. I have played one or two games and it works well for just about everything I throw at it.
