4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse!

Pros: -Comfortable
-Clean, White look
-Wireless
-Responsive
-Nice side button
-Indicator light displays battery condition
-Scrolling button is smooth, you don't feel/hear the clicks (Smooth, effortless scrolling)

Cons: -Scrolling button is smooth, you don't feel/hear the clicks (It makes it very tough to switch weapons in games)
-It died after a year :(
-Rubber grips on the sides wears down
-Scrolling button became inconsistent, it became hard to scroll

Other Thoughts: Using this mouse was an overall enjoyable experience. The rubber grips made holding on the mouse easy and comfortable. The side button is convenient when browsing the internet and is great when gaming because it gives you a button to bind to. It was easy to use.

After a while the mouse started to "conoe". At first, the scrolling button became weird and inconsistent. The scrolling wheel was smooth, then rigid, then smooth again. Also, when gaming it's hard to use the scrolling button for switching weapons because you don't feel the bumps from normal mice so you often over switch weapons. The rubber grips on the sides of the mouses wore down over time as well. Some rubber began to come off and bubbles started to accumulate under the rubber.

Only 1 egg off because I broke after a year of hardcore use (2-4 hours a day).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: It is very comfortable to hold. It's a bit smaller than the average mouse so it's a great fit to travel with. The wireless receiver is small and stores right inside the mouse. It only operates on one AA battery and does last 8-10 months which it great. It works very well for me from 10 ft away. The buttons are excellent. The right and left click buttons press with ease are fairly quiet. The back (side) button works well also. The scroll wheel moves smoothly and silently. It also clicks sideways for side scrolling and center click on it is more profound so it's easy to know what you're doing. Overall a great performer. The mouse itself is very ergonomic and the side-grips and a plus fro look and feel.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: Love this mouse! Owned it for over a year now and no problems. I have the white one which is more of a "pearl" white. It has a battery indicator light and also works on any surface. Highly recommend this mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsConfused by other reviews.

Pros: I have had three of these mice for over a year. I got one for my multimedia desktop 2 years ago. It is perfect and still works precisely. I use it from a range of 6 feet and its great. I have had no reliability issues. None of the color has chipped off, the mouse wheel is still rubber coated... I have changed the batteries twice. TWICE! I have never been so misguided as to lose ANY of the RF receivers, since they hace a dedicated storage spot. It doesn't overheat. After having ONE for a year, my wife got one for her laptop. Continued phenomenal performance. A few months later, I got another one for MY laptop. Continued phenomenal performance.
I do not understand what kind of temper tantrum you have to throw to break one of these mouses. I've dropped them enough, but I have not abused it. Heck, my most recent one has went on two submarine deployments.

Cons: Doesn't automatically turn itself off for battery longevity. PRO: uses very little power so it really doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: I will continue to buy this model.
I concur that the mousewheel does not have detents in the roll mechanism. That however is purely a preference thing. I am GLAD it does not as it provides more precise control, instead of clunky predetermined stopping points.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat So Far

Pros: Incredibly accurate
Very comfortable
4 buttons
Works great on any surface
Only paid $18
Not too big, not too small
Nano receiver can stay in while traveling (or there is a slot on the bottom of the mouse to stash it in)
On/Off switch
Looks great
Will possibly get me laid one day. Ok maybe not, but I like to dream.

Cons: 4th button click feels very cheap and breakable.

Other Thoughts: Great mouse so far. I will let you know if anything bad happens in the near future.

4 out of 5 eggswhat's up with copy function?

Pros: Had this mouse for a couple of months, and it works reasonably well, though there are times when the cursor will wander on its own. Light weight, smooth glide on the surface, good battery life and small. Nice for a small workstation with keyboard tray. Just enough room for both.

Cons: On most mice, you hilite and release, and the hilite stops there. With this mouse, you have to click to stop the hilite, unlike any other mouse i have used. A real pain when you switch from one computer to another. Maybe I should look at the owner's manual to see if this is user adjustable.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg can't be beat. Great shipping, email communication all the way til you receive the package. Why go anywhere else?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Always works flawlessly and has excellent tracking. It has a shutoff switch on the bottom of the mouse so you don't have to place the transceiver back in the mouse to shut it off.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: WoW, I've been using this mouse for about six months now and I haven't had any of the problems the other reviewers have had. It has worked flawlessly and is still on the original battery. The transceiver never even gets a little warm let alone hot. It shouldn't make any difference, but I didn't purchase mine from Newegg, but rather at a retail store. I came here to purchase another one. I wonder if MS had a bad run of these. I've used MS mice for about 20 years now and haven't had any problems, which is why I keep using them. I usually buy a new one because I've worn them out, not because of failure.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks nice but bad design...

Pros: Works as a mouse. Tracks well, responsive, nice feel in hand. Small transceiver, convenient for travel.

Cons: The synthetic rubber part of the scroll wheel deformed after about 9 months of use and is now much larger than the plastic wheel itself, rendering the scroll wheel virtually unusable after only 9 months of use.

2 out of 5 eggsBroke within a year

Pros: Price, Comfortable, Worked well on my Laptop. Has a storage compartment for USB receiver on the bottom of the mouse.

Cons: Broke within a year. Did NOT misuse product

Other Thoughts: Bought this to use for games on my Macbook and to use on my Netbook at some times. It worked very well, and did not give me trouble while I was playing games. Whenever you stop using it, though, you HAVE to remember to turn it off and remove the USB receiver and put it in the bottom of the mouse. I've lost the receiver a few times.

Just a few weeks ago, I tried using the mouse on my laptop and found that the cursor would not respond to mouse movements. Batteries were fine and everything. I touched the USB receiver and it was SCORCHING hot. It was so hot that I couldn't even unplug it. Windows also gave me a notification of an un-recognized USB device. I powered off my laptop and let the receiver cool down.

I called Microsoft and told them what happened. They were polite and were very sorry about what happened. They gave me a Mobile Mouse 6000 instead of the 4000.

Product gets two stars for good tech support.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Comfortable to hold

Cons: - Red coloring chips away easily
- Battery inefficient
- Mouse clicking problems

Other Thoughts: After about 6 months of using this mouse I am ready to replace it because it's just not worth the trouble. Mouseclicks are often unresponsive, which makes this unusable for any games.
