5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: *Works flawlessly
*Works well on any surface
*No mouse pad required

Cons: None. This mouse is great.

Other Thoughts: I would buy a bunch of these and replace all of my mice with them if I had multiple mice that needed replacing. This mouse is fantastic.

1 out of 5 eggsintermittent connectivity from 5 ft away

Pros: none really.

Cons: I've read a lot of 1 star reviews before and I usually conclude it's due to user error... it's usually the user who is unaware of how to setup or configure something and that the product is fine but in this case I cannot believe how terrible this mouse really is. It's only 5 feet away from my computer (the computer is underneath the desk) and there are periods where the wireless connectivity is intermittent and the cursor movement is choppy. I don't think it has to do with the strength of the wireless connectivity but rather the software microsoft uses to communicate with the mouse. I'm using win 7 pro 64 bit and when you plug in the mouse the keyboard and mouse control center that comes with win 7 it recognizes the model type and installs some software that allows you to customize/personalize some settings on the mouse. I have a very fast computer and it took about 45 seconds to install the software which kind of indicates to me the software is likely bloated with extra settings that effect basic functionality of the mouse. I don't write many reviews but I wasted 30 bucks on this mouse and this negative review is my only chance of vengeance. At the time of writing this, the product is discontinued.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased with size and performance

Pros: * Medium-sized mobile mouse feels just right in my hand without being too large for packing up with my laptop.
* Tracks well on most any surface--wood, couch cushion, lap desk, denim, Formica.
* Reliable pointing and scrolling.
* No issues with flaky transmission under normal desktop/laptop operation (haven't used mouse to manage media center computer across the room).
* It's one of the few nano-receiver mice I've seen to have a back button.
* I can't misplace it when it's bright green.
* Nano transceiver stores securely in the mouse.

Cons: * Scroll wheel does not make clicking noise. Not a deal-breaker, but it took me a while to get accustomed to a mouse wheel that doesn't click.

Other Thoughts: I'm completely satisfied with this mouse. I haven't observed any overheating issues with the nano dongle. I like the mouse so much, I might buy another for a different computer in the house.

1 out of 5 eggsJust glad it didn't take my USB port with it...

Pros: Solid Feeling mouse, Blue Track is nice for using on almost any surface, back button is nice on a lower end mouse.

Cons: Micro USB reciever fried after 4 days of use.

Other Thoughts: I bought the 4000 to use with my netbook, a few days after I bought it, while browzing the web my cursor stopped moving and I smelled something burning, then got a windows message saying one of the USB devices connected to the computer had malfunctioned. When I tried to take out the USB adapter, half the assembly came out and the metal part was stuck in the port, which I had to gently pry out. This is the antithesis of a quality product.

1 out of 5 eggsVery unreliable

Pros: Nice mouse, before it dies...

Cons: I really like the mouse and the way it tracks on surfaces like glass and granite....however, the dongle runs very hot. I've bought four of them (bought them before they failed) and have had two of them fail. What happens it the dongle gets so hot it dies. Windows Vista alerts you that the USB device is no longer functioning and is not recognized. The dongle is now dead, tried it in another laptop, in another USB port, etc, but it immediately becomes hot to the touch. Since after 30 days, now I'm at the mercy of Microsoft. Nice looking design, feels great in the hand, but it's unreliable as heck....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat wireless mouse

Pros: I'm not very fond of wireless mice because they can be finicky at times. However, I was very surprised of how precise and accurate this mouse was. The clicks are very quiet and the blue track light is pretty cool and different.

Cons: There isn't clicking on the scroll wheel.

Other Thoughts: For the price it's worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsI like the scroll wheel

Pros: In my few seconds of working with this mouse I like it.
Being the owner of a Kensington orbit mouse the 'vagueness' of the scroll wheel did not bother me at all.
In fact, I like the 'no clickyness' of the wheel.

I knew there was storage for the mirco dongle, but I didn't know it was a push button release to hold it in place. I was pleasantly surprised.

Cons: The green color took some getting used to but the $5.00 discount from eggy made me think of it this way...'They are paying you $5.00 to buy it! ;)'

It's a little uncomfortable because of its size..but hey..its PORTABLE...and i'm primarily a trackball user..so all of this is my own personal opinion.

Other Thoughts: I may not have a use for the 3rd button. It defaults to the 'back' button on the browser with the default system drivers.

If it had a 4th button that goes forward, I might take that into consideration.

I'll just use the bundled software to map the button to something else I may have a use for.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The bluetrack is great. You can even run it across your keyboard and it still works. When they say almost any surface they mean it. I have small hands and it fits perfectly. Very responsive. While it doesn't have a lot of buttons like my other mouse, it still works for what I need at work, which is where I use it mostly. I bought mine on discount and paid several dollars less than the current price here on Newegg. Its a hot pink color. There were several choices to choose from. Now every time I have one of my agents sign off on something at my desk, or have another supervisor grab it to show me something, they always comment on it and ask where it came from.

Cons: Only 2 buttons but for the price, you can't beat it. No sapphire blue! I saw red/teal/lt.blue/hot pink/yellow.

Other Thoughts: Nice, comfortable shape. Could be used for left or right hand.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the price

Pros: *Perfect compromise between comfort and portability
*Tracks well on just about everything
*Estimated battery life is a plus although I have not drained first battery (only takes one too)
*Like smooth scroll - just my preference
*Feels good in the hands; seems solid and well-built
*Can manually turn off
*Nano receiver - easy to forget it's in the port; it also stores inside the mouse for travel
*Customizable buttons

Cons: *Need to install software if you want to get the most of out of this mouse; not necessarily a con but an extra step nevertheless

Other Thoughts: I have the white version of this mouse...not a Newegg purchase. It was recognized immediately by my Samsung NC20 (XP). I returned a Logitech V220 and Microsoft Mobile 6000. The Logitech was way too small and my hand ached only fifteen minutes after use. The 6000 was nice looking but it had strange ergonomics with a raised center area that divided the left and right sides. The raised design forced my fingers to be spread apart further than what was comfortable for me. I returned the 6000 only after a few days. I don't have mammoth-sized hands but I figured if I use a mouse as much as I do, I better like it...a lot. This is easily the best mouse I've used. It was worth the extra cost and trips to return the other mice.
