5 out of 5 eggsGood/Cheap Mouse

Pros: Small. Good battery life (if you're smart and turn it off when it's not in use), I'm still on the same set of batteries as I was six months ago.

Cons: Small, might be an issue for people with giant hands.

1 out of 5 eggsExact same as below, stinks

Pros: None?

Cons: Exact same problems as "Angry and mouseless" below. Skips, mouse clicks aren't always reported, stinks. RMA time. Ugh.

Other Thoughts: "It can mouse on virtually any surface." Nope. Doesn't read/track on five different pads I tried, or my table, or my tile floor, or "the carpet" as M$ claims. This mouse is seriously horrible.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mouse

Pros: Works with any PC going through my shop

Cons: Mouse does not have a stand by mode. Most people forget that they can turn the mouse off over night or when ever they are not using it. If you do you could easily attain 8 month battery life.

1 out of 5 eggsThe worst product humanity has ever created in the history of ever.

Pros: It looks and feels nice. Also, the middle click is nice and quietish. But that's it. When you use it as a mouse it's the worst thing ever.

Oh, also Bluetrack.

Cons: Where do I begin? As soon as I plugged it in, it caused trouble. It misses about half of the clicks I try to make. Sometimes it doesn't scroll, and nearly all of the time it skips around the screen. Maybe there are signal issues, maybe I got a bad mouse, but this thing is terrible.

By terrible, I mean it might be the single most infuriating computer product I've ever purchased. And I've purchased parts that were DOA. I'd rather use a Mac than this piece of garbage (and I'm a die hard PC guy, so that's saying something).

Overall, this mouse is the worst thing that was ever let loose on humanity. It might've been created by the devil, to lead us astray. I don't really know. What I do know is that this mouse is the worst thing ever in the history of Earth.

Also, there's a bit of lag when you use the middle click. Maybe half a second, but combined with everything else, enough to drive you up the walls. I'd use it as a paperweight, but it would probably fail at that too.

Other Thoughts: Microsoft is usually a good company for this stuff. I think I'll stick to wired mice from now on. At least until they hire mouse creators who know what they're doing.

Unfortunately I didn't purchase this on Newegg so I'm stuck with dropping some more money to get a mouse that actually works as a mouse. At least this one wasn't too expensive I guess.

3 out of 5 eggsclaimed 8 month of battery life is a huge exaggeration

Pros: low-profile receiver, tracks on any surface

Cons: battery life is the worst I have ever seen

Other Thoughts: battery life was one of the reasons I've got this mouse. I'm using it for two months and I just installed third battery already, so maybe you could get 8 month out of it if you keep it turned off all the time...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse.

Pros: My roommate got one a few months ago, and after using it with my mb for a few hours, I went out and picked one up myself. It's really one of the few things I think <icrosoft has ever done right.

It's easy to use, a very good size, and incredibly responsive. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was speaking of when they said there was a slight delay. It's perfect, and very portable.

Cons: None. The receiver even fits into the mouse. Must buy!

3 out of 5 eggsMiddle button delay, otherwise great

Pros: Good shape, tracks on shiny surfaces, low-profile receiver, decent range.

Cons: Has the same middle-click delay seen on other MS mice of late. Sometimes takes half a second to register middle-click, sometimes doesn't register at all. Really lame if you want/need to use middle clicks often.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it if you want flawless middle-clicks.
