Solid visual, although your mileage may vary depending on your primary use for the camera. Works fine on G+ hangouts and Skype. Cons: One bug with chrome's flash that was easily fixed. Other Thoughts: I got this to skype with people at my work computer. I saw a previous review that said it runs on linux so i bought it. The only bug I had was that when chrome was open it would stop working and it would also produce a bunch of "cannot get freq at ep 0x84" errors in the dmesg output. It turns out it was chrome's flash pepper version 11.3.31.232, after disabling it (under chrome://plugins) it works fine. Ran on Linux Mint 13 64bit and Linux Mint 14 64bit. Have not done anything but installed it and turned it on just to look at the image on the screen. Updated from a cam from xp that w764 wont accept.........So far from what Ives seen, just BEAUTIFUL choice in low price ms cam. And takes lovely snapshots, direct load to utube etc. More features that i have not use yet. Cons: so far nothing, just plugged it in today. Does not have auto focus but don't think i will need it. Using on a i5-2320 Intel CPU, 16gb Kingston hyper-x blue dual ram,2slots bought kit of 8gb each, ddr3 1333 620wps corsair module. Other Thoughts: no CD with the camera. you go to WWW.Microsoft.com/hardware/downloads and download the driver and any other material you want with your cam. the link is included with the cam, so its not a problem not having CD.
