3 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft still hasn't gotten it right, yet. READ ON!

Pros: - Beautiful design
- Nice haptic feedback from the touch pad (the area where the scroll wheel usually is)
- BlueTrack is accurate and works on all surfaces I have placed the mouse on

Cons: The range of the receiver is horrible.

Other Thoughts: Although I have 2 more pros than cons in this review, the fact of the horrible range to the receiver is what kills this product. With the receiver connected to the back of my desktop (bottom left of my desk) and the mouse on the desk (top right on my desk) I was unable to get a consistent connection to the mouse. It would jump around and then move sluggishly, as if I was barely moving it. Mouse clicks were not registered correctly either. I installed the driver from the Touch Explorer website but still experienced the same problems. I then uninstalled the software and had Microsoft install the software automatically. Still, the mouse did not function correctly. I moved the receiver dongle to a USB port on the top of my computer (top front) and the mouse began behaving more correctly. However, I still had issues with the lag or non-responsiveness of the mouse.

I finally gave up and plugged in my old OEM Acer mouse (wired) and got back to business. I did give this mouse to my wife, and it works great... connected to her laptop... inches from the receiver.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Rodent

Pros: Its a great wireless 2 button mouse

Cons: Its a great wireless 2 button mouse

Other Thoughts: 3 buttons on the touch surface.

Buttons on touch surface Bad Idea, Flawed Design.

mouse has no arch support for hand and sits too low for most hands, reminds me of a laptop mouse on steroids.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Mouse for Wndows 8

Pros: This is the perfect mouse for Windows 8! The ability to scroll left and right makes Windows 8 that much better on a desktop without a touch screen.

Cons: I wish that I knew that the mouse came with a wireless USB stick, because I bought a Bluetooth card just so I could use it.

5 out of 5 eggsCool! Huge upgrade in tech

Pros: This is the mouse I was looking for! (My Logitech LX7 crapped out after a couple years) I didn't think I'd find much new functionality since I was already used to optical and wireless. I was wrong; the scroll strip on this thing is a huge upgrade. No more wearing out my tendons scrolling through websites, because this has page up/down built in along with side scrolling. When you want to have more control over the scroll speed you can still do a 'manual' scroll on the touch strip which senses momentum and provides vibration feedback (cooool!). My index finger is already thanking me. I think the reviewer that said his wouldn't track on anything must have gotten a bad mouse, because mine is crazy accurate. It even tracks on my coffee table which is smooth and solid black. The mouse feels good in your hand and definitely is not a compact model. Build feels solid; not too heavy, not too light. The receiver is TINY which is another upgrade over the massive Logitech dongles I was used to.

Cons: I guess rechargeable would be nice, but I don't really know how that would work. This says it has a 18 month battery life (and turns off automatically) so that may not be much of an issue anyway.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Low profile and light, this mouse is small enough to throw in a laptop bag with ease without being considered a "small" mouse. This mouse has great styling and slides around with ease.

Cons: For whatever reason I believed "touch" to be a capacitive touch, maybe because I was originally looking at the next level up mouse originally. The scroll wheel is the "touch" part. It is like a big multiple position rocker switch. Scroll action is very nice and good, just a bit surprised when I felt the clicking.

Other Thoughts: A nice wireless mouse at a great price.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Has all the benefits of touch without losing the feelinging of clicking. The scroll "wheel" is especially awesome and everything is fully customizable through the intellipoint software. Accurate on all the surfaces around me.

Cons: A little shorter than my last mouse, but since I'm 6'5 with big hands I suspect this would only be a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: Feels a little jarring at first to use the touch wheel, but after a half hour is feels natural to me.

2 out of 5 eggsImprecise

Pros: Perfect size, weight, and balance. Button clicks feel good and precise. I like the vibration feedback as you're scrolling from the touch strip.

Cons: Not matter what kind of surface I tried the mouse on, the cursor would frequently lose its position and/or be imprecise in its response. Like this, the mouse is basically unusable, and that's what accounts for low rating.

Other Thoughts: I have a Magic Mouse for my Mac, and was hoping to find its equivalent for PC. This, however, is NOT it.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty cool...

Pros: I had the opportunity to play with one of these in a usability study a few months ago and was very impressed. The touch-pad offered more control than an actual wheel mouse and it felt completely natural in no time at all. With feedback from the touch-pad, this mouse was an actual joy to use.

Cons: Made me want to use shameless better mouse (trap) cliche...

Other Thoughts: Would love to see a wireless version especially since it uses a battery.
I use Linux almost exclusively, but I gotta give M.S. a thumbs up on this one.
