2 out of 5 eggsOk, but Inefficient

Pros: -Reasonable Price
-Smooth Scrolling
-Moves well on very uneven surfaces

Cons: -Connection stutters often
-Very loud clicking
-Short battery life -- only lasts about two months for two AAs with moderate use (no gaming, and turned off every night)
-Sometimes the mouse's wireless adapter would just stop working inexplicably, even though it has not been touched. (Works again after being reinserted)

Other Thoughts: Compared to the mouse I replaced (smaller mouse that needed one battery every six-ish months), this is pretty disappointing. There are better mice for the same price.

1 out of 5 eggsTry Goodwill

Pros: Price on sale, ~ $12.50 w/free shipping when I bought mine. Not QUITE as absurdly small as most mice seem to be these days. Easy, quick RMA process, although I think Newegg should pay for the return of defective items, as do many other online retailers.

Cons: Mouse arrived looking worn & used. Pointer jumped about the screen erratically. Even if that weren't the case, I would have still RMA'd. As seems to be the norm anymore with anything electronic, let alone computer related, this mouse has that cheap, flimsy, "plastic junk" feel, and as others have noted, the thing clicks so loudly, you and anyone in the room with you had better be wearing OSHA approved hearing protection while using this device. No kidding, this mouse clicks like one of those things trainers use to keep particularly unruly Jack Russell terriers in line. Also, the wheel has no detents, just spins (apparently some prefer this?) and feels as though it may fall off its axle with each rotation. Seriously, if chintzy feeling, unnecessarily noisy pieces of flimsy junk rub you the wrong way, RUN from this mouse.

Other Thoughts: I happened to be at a Goodwill right after deciding to RMA this mouse. Digging through their pile of mice, I eventually came upon one of these Kensington wireless mice, no longer made: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826125012 I bought the mouse for $4.99, on a whim. This older mouse highlights the flaws of the newer devices. To begin, at 5" in length, the older mouse is actually the right size for an adult hand. Some new mice are so tiny, it's like chasing an inverted pistachio nut shell around the desk under your palm. It also lacks that flimsy/thin/gonna-break-any-second cheap feel of the vast majority of mice made presently. The R & L clicks are quiet and subdued, MUCH less irritating then the M$ device. On the downside, the wireless receiver is about the size of a hockey puck, huge by present standards, though this is not an issue with my desktop. Again, this mouse is no longer made, so I'm not suggesting people run out and buy one. What I am suggesting is that manufacturers need to apply advancing technology, but not simply to make everything smaller/flimsier/cheaper/MORE PROFITABLE. QUALITY matters as well. And before someone hollers "But the M$ mouse was only 13 bucks!", keep in mind that the list price is $30. Also, I'm guessing this Kensington is about 10 years old, yet it looks and operates like it was new. By the time the vast majority of mice like this M$ example are a decade old, they will have already been gracing the landfill for 5 or more years.

5 out of 5 eggsit's a mouse, it works

Pros: Works as advertised. Just had to plug the dongle into USB. Fits my hand fine ... I have big hands. Also, uses 2 AA batteries. The other wireless mouse I had (which was poor quality) used AAA and had poor battery life. So far, I haven't had to replace the batteries. Also, the mouse has a on/off switch, which I hope will improve battery life.

Cons: None that I can think of

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Cheap Price

Cons: Bought it on 1/3/2013 and today 2/26/2013, mouse died. Tried re-installing the driver for the mouse and still not working. Also not working on other machines. Support is very poor. Waited 2 hours on phone trying to get support for this mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Good size and feel.

Cons: USB transceiver needs to be a little stronger. Mouse pointer was jerky until I moved it to the front of the computer from the back. I have had this issue with other mice so not just a Microsoft issue.

Other Thoughts: Was able to fine tune the pointer speed in the contol panel for perfect use.

3 out of 5 eggsA disappointment

Pros: Is a mouse without a cord and it seems to be well constructed. The price was reasonable.

Cons: At times the mouse pointer seems to have the jitters. I can not determine when or what causes this. I do not know if there is some type of RF interference or what, but it is often enough to irritate me. You can get it to stop by moving the mouse around but when you are trying to select an icon you want the pointer to be steady. I have another cordless mouse (Logitech) that is rock steady all of the time which is what I expected from this mouse.

The mouse is larger than all of the other Microsoft mice that I have used (Basic Corded Mouse) and it almost seems too large for my hand. It took some getting used to and it stills feels awkward and uncomfortable when I use it.

Other Thoughts: I am probably going to replace this mouse with a different cordless mouse to see if I can find one that isn't so large and one that has better pointer control. All in all this mouse has been a big disappointment to me and I would not recommend it to my friends or associates.
