5 out of 5 eggsSick Mouse

Pros: Color Scheme.
Buttons. (5 for binding)
Price. ($19.99 when I bought it)

Cons: Microsoft.

Other Thoughts: First off, this was plug-n-play, I plugged in then played, literally. After I updated Windows - it updated/downloaded the Microsoft keyboard/mouse center app. Worthless app, now even after I uninstall that app, my mouse acts funky and still acts as if it is controlled by the Microsoft keyboard/mouse center Settings. I could not get the mouse to Roll-Back its drivers (which I've done with all my mouse), so I re-downloaded that app, installed it, and hate it. The mouse itself is a 10/10, and I have this mouse in the Black color scheme. I actually bought this mouse specifically for the color scheme, already knowing this mouse is quality. Mouse is incredibly comfortable and conforms to my hand. It's light weight makes it so it has virtually no drag (I use my pinky and thumb to move it left/right). FPS/RTS/MMO - Whatever your game is, This mouse is incredible. Get it. Love it. Did You Find This Review Helpful? Yes. You Did.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid & long lasting mouse

Pros: Perfect for any right handed person
Near Effortless gliding across most surfaces
Very accurate positioning

Cons: None that make a difference

Other Thoughts: I have owned four of this particular style of mouse. They last for years without any major issues. The more recent models though do have a tendency for the micro switches that the two main and two side buttons to wear out faster than the older models of this same mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat no-frills mouse

Pros: -Very low lift off catch
-No side scrolling (pro for me in-game. FPS' at least)
-Spot on sensor
-Detent scroll wheel
-No software to load (not needed in my opinion)
-Lightweight (May feel cheap to some but lighter = better for me)
-I actually like the white color (It's semi-gloss if anyone was wondering)
-Red LED glow under wrist
-Good for claw-types, if that's your grip style.

Cons: -Kinda cheap feeling/sounding, but so was my first intellimouse 3.0 (from 2006 I think)
-The rubber coating feels like it has a layer of powder all the time. Prob all in my head but its not as grippy as my old IM3.
-Back button is really deep: I used to be able to slide my thumb from the bottom of the mouse near the desk / mouse pad to the top edge of the IM3 and the back-button would register. This new one I have to press into. Its a small but annoying aspect. I don't have my thumb on the back button all the time so it takes me from a one-step process (slide thumb up) to a two-step process (slide thumb up, stop at back button, and press toward mouse). May exchange for a new one.
-Middle mouse button doesn't feel like how it should. It may get better as I break it in, but right now when you press down, it'll 'feel' like you have 2 middle mouse button clicks. On the one Newegg sent me, when you begin to press down on the middle mouse button, you will encounter a little resistance just like a normal middle mouse button. It FELLS like the button, but there wont be a click sound. Then it'll give way and you keep pressing down until you get to the REAL middle mouse button and click will happen. The problem arises when I am wearing headphones while browsing. Ill try to open a few links with the middle mouse button, but realize only a few appear. Its almost like a fake middle mouse button feeling.

Other Thoughts: I only have my old IM3, and a Logitech G500 to compare this to. So I don’t have much to go off of. But the sensor of the G500 was completely unforgiving for my needs. If you have a wide area of play for your mouse its great. But for someone like me where you want to keep your wrist in one position and reposition your mouse by lifting and moving, its hell. The lift off distance of the G500 is a complete turn off for me. The old im3 had a solidly low lift off distance and it seems this new Legends Edition has the same sensor. In fact, when I disconnected my old IM3 and put in this new one, Windows 7 didn't do a darn thing. It thought it was the same mouse. Which is what I was hoping for.

The only reason I got a new one was because my old IM3 started to double click on single clicks for the left-button. It also would not hold a click if I held the button down and tried to drag it to a folder. But there are a lot of different guides detailing how to tear down an IM3 and clean the button switches.

All in all, I am ALMOST satisfied with the new (though apparently discontinued) Intellimous 3.0. It has all the good qualities that made me love my old IM3. Sensor, shape, detent-scroll, 2 side buttons, lightweight. Yet the side-button and middle-button are not perfect. We will see if this is a problem with mine personally or a problem with all of them.

5 out of 5 eggsLegend

Pros: Gaming since 1996, used explorer 3 and various other mices over time. This is probably the best one and second is venerable mx518 which unfortunately is not available anymore.
Newegg please find and bring mx518 to the market as well :)

Cons: Nothing, i hope all the mouse manufacturers follow the same quality standards as microsoft did with this one.

Other Thoughts: Excellent mouse for gaming and all around use.

5 out of 5 eggsIntellimouse 3.0

Pros: Great mouse. Rubberized sides make for great comfort. Sensor is incredible. I play a lot of Starcraft 2 and my accuracy has noticeably increased. Much better than the Logitech and Razor mice I have used.

People say this mouse is for bigger hands, but my hands are average and it fits like a glove. I'd highly recommend this since Microsoft stopped making these, especially at this price.

Cons: One of the thumb buttons, (closest to you) seems to be a little loose. I know another customer and he's verified this on his. It's not that big of a deal unless you're a nit picker.

5 out of 5 eggsWow..

Pros: I have been using various other brands of mice competitively for very long time, I always heard how great this mouse was and I happened to be in the market for a new mouse. All I can say is wow, this mouse although unassuming is a masterpiece. I bought this mouse as a backup and I bought several other mice at the same time and tried them all out -- Deathadder 2013, G500, Storm Xornet. Its hard to put what makes this mouse great into words, all I can say is that your brain just gets it, and becomes one with the mouse. Its like your light saber, and you are a Jedi Master. Use the force and buy this mouse.

Cons: Nothing.

Other Thoughts: Don't let the psychological gimmicky advertising and buzzwords of newer mice confuse you, they are not better.

5 out of 5 eggsBack from the dead?

Pros: Flawless Sensor [read about it]. Perfect ergonomics for palm grip. Amazingly smooth surface [goes for both plastic chassis and rubber sides].

But mainly - Flawless Sensor. This mouse will put to shame 99% of all market and compete with the rest 1%. Seriously when I first found out, I couldn't believe that Microsoft produced this and further couldn't believe that they stopped making them!

Oh well, I got my hands on it and its glorious ^^

BUY ONE until they run out!

Cons: Color choice.

Its not the worst, and if you are not afraid to mod [take apart and use vinyl dye to "re-paint"] its not really a con. Though its not the easiest one to take apart.

Also cord isn't the longest... But its enough.

Would prefer black or gunmetal gray. But at least its not pearl white?

Other Thoughts: I though they discontinued them? If thats the case, than, I should buy 10. Before whatever crate newegg found in there website didn't run out! haha.

I mean, I do not hate on my old mouse, but it can now rightfully reunite with my old PC from which I took it for new rig.

5 out of 5 eggsIME 3.0

Pros: -Fits like gloves
-Very durable
-$20 for this mouse is a steal
-No crazy led lights

Cons: -the rubber from the side will wear off from x-amount of months.
-Only for right handed / big hands *basketball hands"

Other Thoughts: I've came from a hardcore gamer. And this mouse gives me my frags and reputation. Also, this mouse is still used in professional CS1.6 tournaments/lans.
The ime3.0 is the only one I used at home and at work. Give this mouse a try. I gave some of this mouse away to friends. They loved this mouse so much.

5 out of 5 eggsPhenomenally reliable mouse, high quality, nice buttons

Pros: I have been using my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 for 14 year. Yes, 14 years. I'm on my computer for 8 to 12 hours a day, everyday, and every other piece of computer equipment I use has been replaced multiple times since 1998. But not the wonderful Microsoft Intellmouse explorer.

The mouse has high quality buttons and a nice, weighty feel. There are three buttons on the top of the mouse; one of which is the mouse wheel (which still works like new). There are also two buttons on the left side of the mouse, which I use for forward and back in the internet browser.

Cons: None. It works perfectly, even after 14 years.

Other Thoughts: I bought a couple of these mice, since I have not seen them for sale for a very very long time. Maybe USB will be defunct before these mice are.
