1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Camera, don't buy

Pros: When the Camera is in focus which is only for 5 seconds it is decently clear.

Cons: The camera is complete garbage, and all it does it auto focus. Blurry for 4 seconds, then clear for 5, then blurry, etc. Its a horrible camera, and I recommend getting a Logitech camera over any Microsoft camera.

Other Thoughts: My other thoughts are the same. Don't buy this camera, and get a Logitech camera. I recommend putting a bit more money on your price tag and get a quality product

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Video, HORRIBLE AUDIO

Pros: Crisp and clear 720p video.

Cons: Mic gives a constant high-pitched hiss that is unbearable in a stream or call.

Other Thoughts: Autofocus is a bit crazy in some lighting but you can always adjust it manually.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: It has auto adjustments, picture looks great and it just works without any hitches. Couldn't be happier.

Cons: None at this time.

4 out of 5 eggsMS LifeCam Cinema

Pros: It's a decent step up from typical laptop webcams
Decent low light performance
Omni-directional mic
Software straight forward and easy to use

Cons: Mounting mechanism could be better
Wider angle lense would be nice

Other Thoughts: I bought this for skyping with my family because the camera built into my laptop wasn't adequate. We have a 2yo daughter who is very active and I like to set the laptop somewhere where my parents have a good view of the action. With the laptop camera I would constantly have to move the laptop because the mic only worked well in front of the laptop and the camera quality was also poor.

The LifeCam has a much better mic which picks up sounds pretty much anywhere in the room. The camera supposedly has a wide angle lense but it's not much wider than the laptop camera. However the quality of video, especially in low light areas is significantly better.

The camera sits well on a stationary laptop but it only rest on the screen, it doesn't clip to it. Consequently, we have to be careful when moving the laptop with the LifeCam mounted on it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot a good deal

Pros: Video quality is ok.

Cons: The mic is very bad. worst mic I have ever used. all kinds of noise (hissing sound).
The software for the camera us useless.

Other Thoughts: The mic is not usable. And there is no fixing it.
I ended up buying a dedicated microphone.
I would not recommend this brand of webcam to anyone ever.

5 out of 5 eggsCrisp and clear

Pros: This cam has a sharp picture, very expensive looking and the software works good. Easily detected by most windows software. All the colors are right.
It is ten times better than C-LABS NX Ultra.
It has a low profile and does not stick up like a small tower. The stand is pretty good too.
Plus the microphone is the best I've seen yet. Very sensitive and adjustable.

Cons: Not a one

Other Thoughts: I think the price is worth the investment. A good cam costs more and this one is great.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Camera

Pros: This camera produces crystal clear images and is easy to install. I've also enjoyed the cord length which allows it to be comfortably mounted on top of a 24"monitor while the desktop machine was sitting on the floor. Our company is using 10-15 of these for the past 8 months with no complaints.

Cons: The mounting hardware is a flexible band that wraps around the monitor or acts as a foot for desk tops. It seems like it would break with too much bending.

5 out of 5 eggsEggcellent

Pros: Extremely crisp 720p video quality. I use this for skype and videos and this works incredibly. It is a widescreen shot too. I have never had issues using this webcam. I also have very good internet speed and a stable computer build (Specifically for gaming and video making) I have used this on other computers that were low end with low speed internet and this runs great. I read another review here about it not working? I beg to differ. I have used this camera for about a year now and I have never had any issues.

Cons: in the whole year I have used it, the only con I have is the stand. Can be a little tough to work with.

Other Thoughts: I am writing this review now because I was borrowing the one I owned before and was gotten one of these as my own for Christmas.

When using Skype on this camera, it tends to stay a 4:3 instead of going 16:9 (basically square screen VS Widescreen) a pretty cool camera if you ask me. Better than most cameras I have seen. This is the best bang for your buck, I would trust this camera more than any other camera. I have had friends go out and buy 70$ webcams and they think they are getting good quality, but this camera has something theirs does not. True 720p crisp quality and extremely smooth framerates. It picks up lighting very well, if you do get low frames and its kind of sketchy, just change the exposure, its probably letting in a lot of light. The more light you make it take in, the lower the framerate, but I can run this and see everything very brightly with good exposure.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy if you own windows 7

Pros: When it works, which is rarely, it provides high quality 720p video.

Cons: It nearly never works. The device's software seems to have an error with Windows 7 that makes it so the camera isn't recognized by it's own software(even if the computer can see it). Only way to use the camera is to uninstall and reinstall the software and driver before every use.

Other Thoughts: Works great if you're still running Vista or XP it seems, but stay away if you've got 7

5 out of 5 eggsTop Quality Webcam

Pros: This is a very nice webcam, it is aluminum bodied, has a great microphone and has a glass lens. It runs fine w/o any software on Win 7, and can scale down to lower resolutions as needed for slow internet speeds, or if you simply wish to conserve bandwidth for other on-line needs. It holds onto a flat screen well, and with only a 1/2" bezel (around my monitor), there is no blockage of the screen. Skype approved, Windows Live approved, etc.

Cons: The earlier reviewer is mistaken. The similar looking (but plastic) MS webcam for 49.99 at Walmart is the base model 6ch-00001 (it is priced 10% LESS here at Newegg). THIS EXACT webcam, however, IS at Staple's & Wally-OnLine for 69.99 (+tax), it is not the model he thinks he saw at Wally, and it IS indeed sold for less here (guess this is also a Pro).

Other Thoughts: Seems Newegg is where I should have bought mine, I also paid more for THIS exact model elsewhere. There is only one better MS model than this one (model Q2F). It is 1080p, and it is $99.99 at Staples,w/Silver color Alumin. body (the price of it is also much LESS here at Newegg).
