From Plantronics comes the next generation of wireless office headsets. The CS55 brings the ultimate in freedom and convenience. With 10 hours of talk time you can wear this comfortable unit all day. A 300 foot range lets you roam the office free from the tether a phone cord.

This is the first headset in the US to take advantage of the dedicated 1.9GHz voice only spectrum. The built-in hook-switch control lets you pick up and end calls at the touch of a button (an optional handset lifter may be required for some phones). For the ultimate in privacy and security you get 64bit digital encryption as a standard feature.

The convertible headset can be configured to be worn with an ear hook or headband. Volume, call answer and mute controls as well as an on-line light are mounted on the noise canceling headset.

Pros: Quality of voice with this unit is by far the best. Even better than some phone's regular handset. Has a lot of ways to wear it, so finding a comfortable way is super easy. Long range so you can walk around quite a bit. Long battery life, lasts all day long.

Cons: Not really a con, but there are a lot of combinations for settings on the device to match many phones. It takes some time and testing to get the right setting. Find someone who doesn't mind you doing the "can you hear me now" routine a hundred times. I do wish the settings were all in one place rather than scattered around the side and base of the unit.

Other Thoughts: I've used these guys for years. Absolutely love them. For those who find the "uncomfortable", try the over-the-head wire to hold it in place. I use that because if I have it clipped to my ear with the behind the ear clip it does get very uncomfortable to me. But the over-the-head clip is extremely comformable and actually keep the ear piece floating away from my ear just a touch. That way I can wear it all day long with no problems.

Other Thoughts: This headset is absolutely worth the money if you are looking for a high fidelity recorder for voice recognition.

Great for our receptionist

Pros: Receptionist can multi-task a lot easier. Lots of features and GREAT sound quality.

Cons: Still need to lift the phone from the base to answer/place calls.

Other Thoughts: Get the automatic lifter if you want to be completely free of the base, but that'll set you back a few extra bucks, but it isn't necessary at all. Great product overall.

Other Thoughts: After buying, and returning the Jabra M5390, this headset is a godsend. The Jabra was a total piece of garbage. It, and the replacement I got after I sent the first one back would disconnect itself from the base multiple times per day. You would have to go through the entire pairing process all over again. This headset is flawless so far. It's never disconnected itself. Good range. Good volume. Comfortable with multiple ways to adjust it to fit just about any head / ear. 5 eggs on this one. Thanks Newegg!

Pros: Great quality, outstanding battery life. Use this daily up to 12 hours. Only ran out of battery once in the past year because I forgot to charge the unit overnight. Definitely worth it if you work with calls for a living.

Cons: Sometimes doesn't sit correctly on the charger. A bit pricey.
