5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Might be the best thing I've ever bought. Blows the expensive bose headphones my friend has out of the water. These things are unbelievable hooked up to an amp (I have a cheap asus xonar that was 15$).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood Headset, Great after Mod

Pros: They sound great, Quality built and great implementation.

Cons: Tighter than I would have preferred, they get hot and pleather is a bit annoying. I sure they would not get so hot with the velour surrounds.

Other Thoughts: Do the mod, it is simple and really opens up the low end.
You can find replacement foam surrounds in Velour.
I have been keeping them stored on a large item to help spread them out.

5 out of 5 eggsWow, these sound amazing!

Pros: Wow, these sound really good. I can actually distinguish between voices on the VoIP while listening to music. These are by far, one of the best sounding headsets I have ever heard. Plugg'd 'em in and was totally blown away. The mic. clarity is very excellent as well. Huge huge upgrade from my old Yamaha CM500's! Have only been wearing these a short while now, but very comfy so far.

Cons: These are a bit weak on bass, but the sound clarity is excellent, so it is a good trade-off. I was hoping for a more heavy-duty cord, but these use a typical stereo headphone cord.

Gettin' these out of the box requires some time and patience... took me about 10 minutes to try and figure out how the heck to remove 'em from the packaging.

Other Thoughts: Buy these! Sure, the price is a bit hefty, but Sennheiser is a way better buy than anything Logitech, Tritton, or Turtle Beach. These offer great quality, and are very comfortable. Only time will tell how durable they are. My old CM500's, I've went thru multiple pair and each would only last about 6 months. These feel a bit more heavy duty from the first touch.

5 out of 5 eggsLove 'em!

Pros: Feel great, good quality sound, long enough cord, mic mute/volume controls feel sturdy, mic sound quality is pretty solid, good price.

Cons: They do block out a lot of outside noise, which is great, but sometimes it makes it difficult to hear how loudly you are speaking into the mic. I've found myself wearing them with 1 ear off, just to get a bit of feedback on my own volume. Honestly though, great headphones and I'm really nitpicking here.

5 out of 5 eggsA whole new world

Pros: Strong, crisp bass that isn't over done. Well built, with a quality mic.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I'm not an audiophile, but I fell in love the moment I put these on.

3 out of 5 eggsComfortable but disappointed.

Pros: Very comfortable on the ears.
Fairly well made, but still it's plastic...

Cons: I expected MORE than what I got - for what I paid, there should have been a mini stereo and mini mic plug to USB plug - turns out the onboard AC97 audio (really that's all these modern board are - onboard sound is not great) has a pretty pronounced hiss and pop. I reliaze I can most likely get around this by purchasing a sound card, but how many options are there for sound cards these days that's not going to have you buying 4 or more sound cards until you get a good one?

For what it's worth to other players looking for a good headset, although it's not QUITE as comfortable, I prefer my 'old' Plantronics Gamecom.

Other Thoughts: Nice try, Sennheiser, love other headphones I've owned, but I was not impressed this time and will not consider future purchases with the name on it with as much weight.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's like lovin in the ear

Pros: They fit perfectly, and mute about 60% of all the ambient sound around you. The quality of the audio output is amazing. Solid bass, crisp treble.

Cons: Not a deal breaker, but the padding is pleather. For some people it can be sweaty.

Other Thoughts: Eargasms all night long. That is why you want to own this.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Headset I've Used For Gaming!

Pros: Completely covers your ears to the point you have to train yourself not to yell with them on! Perfect sound for a Gaming Headset, and the mic is super clear. I hear sounds in games I've never heard before.

Cons: The bass is a bit weak, even with a powered HT Claro. But it is at a level that more than acceptable for gaming, after all these aren't really meant for music. There are mods out there to make it better but after you use them for a day or so you really won't care.

Other Thoughts: Coming from a set of 5.1 Razer Barracuda's these things make it looks like a childs toy. These are high end and ooze perfection from every angle. Super comfortable to wear for multiple hours of gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat headset

Pros: Sound quality is excellent. Price is not excessive. Cord seems substantial and sturdy.

Cons: Not sure if this is a common thing with headsets, but when you turn the online volume control ALL the way up to the stop, the sound cuts out in the left earpiece. Shrugs.

5 out of 5 eggsBest I have had

Pros: good contruction. Thick and long cord. Good sound.
Good mic. keeps outside noise to a min.

Cons: The ohm's of this unit makes it such that you don't get to realize the full potenial out of these unless you get an amp or $300 sound card with amp build in.

Other Thoughts: I bought the fireye ii to go with my headphones and it brings the sound from good to near pro.
Very happy with them.
There is a mod on the net to show you how to improve the base.
