5 out of 5 eggsBest I'VE ever heard

Pros: Durable, comfortable, long cord, very good bass handling (tight and punchy) with crisp mids and highs.

Cons: Wasn't free? (I always thought that was silly (sic) and here I said it)

Other Thoughts: Listen up, literally! You JUST don't know unless you can compare a few sets, and I bought a few sets including this one, the Sony "monitoring headphones" MDR-V150 (Bassy and flat in mids and highs), the "Ice tech Vibe" (Electronically rumble with AAA batteries, gaming only, terrible music sound IMO), and my standby Philips SBC HL150's I had from local drug store which were already comparatively the best so far of cheaper sets. Summary, Just get this pair, they are VERY good. I was blown away at the differences between all the sets. Some things you can't fix with PC EQ on a limited performance set. I'll probably never spend $100 on headphones, and I can't imagine how much better they can get considering the performance of these.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper headphones for $25

Pros: Good sound for its price, especially in bass department. Very sturdy, yet flexible. Easy on the eyes. Great for gaming.
Extremely comfortable.

Cons: Mine died after 2 years of heavy use and abuse but other than that, for this price? NONE!

Other Thoughts: This was my first pair of headphones. I had a pair for gaming back in 2002. Going to countless tournaments, these headphones took some heavy abuse but served me well for almost 2 years. I also enjoyed it for music quite often. Should these be compared to other Sennheiser line-ups? By all means, NO! I have HD580 and HD650 which are just amazing but they cost hundreds of dollars.
After the first pair died, I got myself another pair this year for casual MP3 music listening and occasional gaming.
For $25, HD457 is still great headphones.

5 out of 5 eggsvery comfy!

Pros: These headphones sound great and don't make my ears hurt during prolonged used. Every other headphone I've used has made my ears hurt.

Cons: Only con is that I'm now on my 3rd pair in the past 4 years. These seem to last about 2 years max and then the wires get stretched too much and break.

Other Thoughts: Overall, these are so cheap that I don't mind them only lasting 2 years. Amazing headphones for the price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing sound, very comfy, worked great for my uses, pretty durable, I wore them around campus for 2 years before they crapped out on me.

Cons: The left ear stopped working (after 2 years).

Other Thoughts: For the price, you can't beat them...

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but not in the long run.

Pros: Good bass, good sound, and it fits well. I like headphones that sit on your ear, rather than surround it. These do that perfectly.

Cons: The way the buds slide is too easy. They come off of the sides too easy too. I've had it for about 7 months now, and over the past few days the cord has crapped out. I now have no sound out of my left ear so I ordered some HD 515's. They're good for the price, but not good if you want to keep the same pair for a long time.

Other Thoughts: It would be alot nicer if the cord was thicker and they weren't so loose in the slots. They move around too much and come off too easy.

4 out of 5 eggsGood headphones for the money

Pros: These things rock, for the price anyway. I bought them from a dif comppany and they were 2 times the price. great bass, replacable cords if your cat happens to bite them. (AHH THAT CAT IS DEAD NOW BOY.) jk

Cons: If you haven't gotten used to the uncomforbility of other headphones these things will hurt. But I don't even notice it anymore, so whatever.

Other Thoughts: A8N-SLI Premium nForce4
AMD 3700+ @ 3.01ghz
X1900XT 650/1550
Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM

2 out of 5 eggssounds great! but fitting sucks

Pros: excellent sound, very clear and crisp, makes low quality mp3's noticeable. long cord.

Cons: price at the time was $xx i think i paid about 2 years ago or so.

but fitting is the worst, they are not adjustable and if you have a large head, dont bother, after 2 minutes my ears burned so bad i wore them around my neck. i tried bending the frame out but no luck. should have returned them asap. they are packed away now. for a tiny headed person they would be fine. but if you have trouble with finding comfy hats dont even bother.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: Great sound for a low cost. That's Sennheiser for you.

Cons: Cord is too long.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 pairs for my kids and they rave about the sound. They use them on their Gameboy DS and computers
