Pros: Reasonable price, the noise cancellation is on par with the headset I use at the rifle range and the sound is astounding. I have owned $100.00+ headphones that did not have sound near this good and the sound level adjusting nob and stereo mono switch ate both very handy.

Cons: As with any over the ear headphones they do get uncomfortable after a while, and the cord is a bit shorter than I would like.

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't miss with these.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: They are already malfunctioning less than 2 months after I bought them. I have to continuously hold down the stereo button to get stereo. The sound is like my $10 clock radio.

Pros: Awesome, work as described, comfortable and excellent sound quality. Long coiled cord is very convenient.

Cons: none.

Pros: Hard to break.

Noise cancellation slowly deteriorates as the headphones wear over time.

Heavy use of the headphones results in moisture collecting inside the plastic casing causing the analog volume control to fail or malfunction. Wires will also rust out from the moisture build up.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again if there wasn't anything better available for the price.

Pros: Does reduce noise passively without batteries (covers your ears and perfect for a shop). Definitely not a public gizmo

Other Thoughts: I work in a noisy office, complete with Nerf weapons. Needed something to drown out the noise - had a few decent (under 20) headphones that kept breaking.

Saw the reviews on here while searching for noise canceling headphones. Can't hear a thing! Not even my fingers while typing this review.

Pros: For a passive system, it suppresses external sound extremely well. To test out the sound reproducing capability I put on a CD of Bach's Toccata and Fuge, an organ piece that I consider the ultimate test of high, low and medium frequency reproduction. I think the headphones did extremely well in all ranges, although a bit weaker in the low range of the big organ pipes.

Cons: They are quite bulky and not something you would want to take with you in you on an airplane flight. It has a volume control on one of the headset pieces but it's use seems to mute the quality of the sound; better to regulate volume at the amplifier. There is a switch on the cord that allows you to switch between stereo and mono, and its of cheap quality that doesn't switch cleanly between the two. I simply leave it set on stereo.

Other Thoughts: I think I got a fantastic product for the money. The next test will be how well it holds up over time.

Pros: Cancels external noise very well. Sometimes I wear them while working even when not listening to anything just to kill background noise.

Cons: Weak sound. Low end is very lacking and they sound like they are in semi-mono mode all the time. I can tell a difference when moving the cable switch from mono to stereo but the stereo still has very little seperation and sounds flat.

Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these a few years back and was very happy with them. Unfortunately the right speaker finally died. I was glad to see newegg still had the exact same model so I bought them but these new ones sound nowhere near as good as my old ones. Very flat.

Pros: Great sound quality for it's price. Has fantastic passive noise cancellation and fit very snugly on the head, as long as your ears aren't too big. A lifetime no-questions asked warranty doesn't hurt either.

Cons: Fairly heavy for a pair of headphones. Fairly poor base response without equalizer modification.

Other Thoughts: I happened to get a model with a crackling right headphone, but I just sent the headphones in to Koss and I got a brand new pair, no questions asked!

Pros: You don't get any better noise cancellation than passive cancellation, and Koss wrote the book on cutting out the rest of the world. These are amazing. The thing that amazes me here is that no one mentions Koss' great return policy. Check it out at their website. I have 4 Koss QZ headphones, and when they start to go bad as all headphones do, I chuck 'em in a box and send them back.

I work across the hall from someone with noisy personal habits, and these are the only headphones that can allow me to maintain sanity. Gum popping, fingernail clipping, harumphing, hard candy rattling, coffee slurping an inability to ess.tee.eff.yew at near jet engine levels, and it all goes away with these headphones.

Cons: The plastic could remain soft longer, but it takes at least a year of wear at 8 hours a day to get that way, so that's more of an observation than a complaint, as it is molded to my head by that time.

Other Thoughts: I can't hear my phone ring anymore -- set your pager to vibrate, and get your boss convinced that you're managing interruptions to maximize your throughput.
