2 out of 5 eggsHORRIBLE!

Pros: They produce sound thats not horrible.

Cons: Pain, Suffering, hurts my ears, doesnt fit in my ear, hurts when I make it. Did I mention these hurt to wear? Try cramming a large plastic cooking soon in your ear so it fits and stays there and you'll feel exactly what Im taking about.

Other Thoughts: I have several headsets, tons of earbuds, several headphones and they all get used. Cept this. About 3 times (tries) and thats it.

2 out of 5 eggsDid I mention terrible?

Pros: They produced sound. :-)

Cons: They may have worked when they arrived but the quality is terrible. They do not fit your ears right, the small rubber rings they send stretched out and do not fit the buds anymore. I am so disappointed over this product. I bought two pairs because the brand is a good brand. Goes to show you that even good brands make bad products. :-(

Other Thoughts: I have a set of HD 280 Pro head phones from Sennheiser. They are awesome. I just think they dropped the ball here. Both sets of buds have done the same thing and not there is a hiss and crackle in them from the volume control. I have to turn them almost all of the down to not hear it.

5 out of 5 eggsThese sound great

Pros: + Great sound
+ Volume control works well

Cons: - The earbuds themselves (large diameter flat circular shape) were too big for my ears and I could not wear them for very long without ear pain. I tried with and without each of the earbud adapters and with various orientations and positions on my external ear and could not make them work. I have used other earbuds before without a problem, but I had to return these.

Other Thoughts: I was able to return them with Newegg's return policy and am trying the Sennheiser cx485 model that state they are designed for smaller ears.

I did not take away any eggs because there was no way for Sennheiser to know that they would be too big for me without me trying them on.

They produce great sound.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fits snug and comes with three variations of a earbud coverings. Has a hook to keep the headphones in place. Has a volume slider which is useful for quickly raising or lowering the volume. Decent sound quality which achieves the effect of noise-cancellation when turned up just enough.

Cons: Ear coverings fall off very easily. I've lost all three and now wear the headphones bare. It's best to build the habit of constantly checking to make sure the coverings are still on when ever you're using or moving these headphones around. Also, the volume slider doesn't work as best as one would hope. It turns the volume to the highest and lowest settings perfectly, but if you're looking for something in between you'll most likely find that the audio is lower in one ear than the other. Would be best to just use the device it's plugged into to fine-tune the volume level. Finally, wearing the headphones with the earbuds bare is quite painful over long periods of time for me. I use headphones for work and over an 8 hour period the pain is so bad that I have to gingerly remove them. There are also marks in my ear where the earbuds are pressing against it. Solution: don't lose the coverings! Or don't wear them for that long and you should be fine.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a good pair. Earbuds don't fit in my ear so I need the hook to keep them in place, and I've tried several models from Sony to Panasonic to lesser brands with these proving to have the best fit and quality for the money. And speaking of money, the starting price for these at J&R Music and Computer World is $29.99, which is what I paid for them. I don't think it's worth the $50 listed here. Not even the discounted $40.

3 out of 5 eggsglitches bad fitting design

Pros: Great sound quality with perfect fitting. noise is blocked out. high volume output

Cons: FITTING! they come with 2 sets of rubber rings to fit big to small ears. after having to slip on these rubber collars 5-6times a day i got smart and used superglue
worked for about 5 days @8hrs per with my IT job. the foam that covers the holes has stretched to a point of no fitting. the Inline volume control shorts out at mid volume leaving 1ear w/o sound.low volume or high if you want two earphones

Other Thoughts: More or Stronger glue? i guess if i bout them agian i get JBWELD or Gorrilla glue and set them perfect and not touch them ever agian
THEN they could be four eggs

great sound quality
