2 out of 5 eggseh

Pros: good sound

Cons: doesn't fit my ear well. Falls out, is pulled out, doesn't make proper contact. Maybe my ear is deformed, but they're pretty good original equipment.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: They look good

Cons: 1) Too big for my ears. Unlike other earphones, you can't select the size of the ear buds.
2) The microphone is inconsistent at best. Most of the time I can't hear anything when using these to make a phone call. (I have a BlackBerry Bold, by the way.) After much turning and tweaking, *sometimes* the sound comes back.

Other Thoughts: I bought these because of the good reviews. I prompted threw them aside after a few tries. Now it's too late (31 days) to request a refund. Bummer.

5 out of 5 eggsGood earphone

Pros: - Clear sound
- High built quality

Cons: -none

Other Thoughts: I am not an audiophile by no means. However, I can discern a good earphone from a bad one, and I consider this earphone to be a pretty good for what I paid for ($15). It doesn't have that 'wash-out' sound as my MEElectronics earbuds (I bought both at the same price range). The sound on this earphone is clear.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: The SOUND!

Cons: Adjusting the earpiece

Other Thoughts: I've tried just about every other brand of low priced headphones and these are the best I've found next to my super old pair of worn out Sony's that came with my discman. I have small ears, so most of the earpieces are awkward and bulky or pinch one part of my ear or another. The Sennheiser pair were great! They sit in my ear with very little problems and just a tilt of the hugger makes them almost impossible to dislodge. The sound is amazing compared to anything I've tried and they go as loud as you can stand.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent sound quality, durable cord, inline volume control, stays on ears well

Cons: A little big for my ear canal

Other Thoughts: I was looking for something to perform similar to Beats Audio earbuds that would stay in during landscaping work. The hooks perform well, but due to my ear canal size, the Beats fit better. The sound is excellent, especially considering they don't seal perfectly in my ear.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Sound is nice and clear. Secure fit (can't see it falling off anytime soon)
They're not mean to be in-ear.
They're really loud if you crank up the volume.

Cons: Bass is lower than a $20 headset, even when squished into your ears.
They aren't in-ear, if you try to push them into your ear they'll fall back out.

3 out of 5 eggsNice Idea - Poor Execution

Pros: These little buds have great sound quality, and the flexible ear hooks ensure that they stay on - they come with rubber edge covers and foam padding covers so whether you need comfort or grip (or both) where they enter the ear canal, Sennheiser's got you covered. They even have their own volume control so you can adjust on the fly when your surroundings change. Also, the braided shielding covering the wires insures that a small snag here and there won't break your cord - it's built tough to withstand a bit of punishment. However...

Cons: Buds are excessively large and tend to just sit in the end of the canal instead of popping inside - if they'd have shaved 1 to 1.5 mm off they'd fit comfortably, and if they then replaced that material with something spongy that would then expand after they'd been pushed into the canal you would be able to get the full audio experience. As it is, you tend to lose a bit of bass when not holding the bud into the canal, and the large size tends to make the end of your ear canal sore over time from being inside.
Also, the volume control is located closer to the buds than the 3.5mm jack. So close in fact that it tends to sit in the center of your chest - this means you can't run the cord under your shirt to keep it from bouncing or catching on things while exercising without losing the ability to adjust the volume easily.

Other Thoughts: Got these on special for $19.99 - at that price I'm willing to take the bad with the good. They're certainly better sound quality than the MDR-J10/Black pair I was using, and the rubber covers do help keep them from bouncing out of the ear canal as much. I was just expecting a better overall design from Sennheiser - I have a pair of PXC 350s that I love for around the house, but they're a bit much when exercising. I guess I should have just waited until the CX 680s went on special - those look much closer to what I was hoping for here. I just wish they came in something other than yellow.
