1 out of 5 eggsHIT THE BACK BUTTON NOW.

Pros: The microphone workED very well... please note the past tense.

Save yourself some trouble and some green, and hit the back button.

Cons: First of all, the folding design liked to colapse while I was wearing them. My hair got caught in the hinges. AND wearing the earphones became painful after only about 10 minutes. This is why this headset spend most of its 1-month life around my neck, solely acring as a microphone... but this too was soon to end. Without cause, the microphone began crackling, humming and making chainsaw sounds... and now it just doesnt work at all.

4 out of 5 eggsIf you like the foldable design for the price these are worth it.

Pros: Foldable design can be nice in some situations. The sound quality isn't too bad. Comfortable for the most part. Decent looking. The price has gone way down so for the price these are really good, but for the twenty something I payed they're just average.

Cons: 1. The mic sucks, it eventually stopped working after a good 4-5 months I'll say, so I just ripped it off, because 2. the swivvel thing got pretty lose and the mic wouldn't sit where I wanted it. 3. The right ear foam piece came ripped. 4. Back hinge broke, actually by my friends brother, but he ended up putting a nail in place of the plastic hinge. 5. The clip on the cords volume controle got ripped off, and after that it becomes a dead weight on the cord (volume controle still works though)

Other Thoughts: As my pair stands today, they are what you would call "ghetto" lol. They have gone through a typical teenager abuse, cord stuck under chair and stand up tug. Dog chewing the left ear. Clip being ripped off when I forgot about it. All of these may seem excessive, but I'm sure it happens to everyone and these didn't really stand up through it all. Then again they won't even cost you a whole xx dollar bill, so what do you expect? If you're looking to spend only a couple bucks these are better than the rest of the lot in this range.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly good, cheap headset.

Comments: I bought this as a quick-fix for BF2. It works very well and I'm told I sound just fine on TeamSpeak. I used it for Half-Life2 and the music/effects sounded great. Not audiophile quality, but I didn't feel that it diminished the experience. I also use it on Counter-Strike. For as cheap as it is, you can't go wrong!!

3 out of 5 eggsWhat you would expect....

Comments: Well i didnt buy this headset from newegg but i had the same one. It was excellent out of the box, what you may or may not find appealing is that the back of the headset has a folding clip. This makes it easy to adjust but makes it a problem in its pulled apart or jerked around. The mic went out after a month and 1/2 so i cut it off and made it a stereo headset for the next month until the back clip got ripped up(partly my fault). This mic did take a lot of abuse, it would get caught under my rolling chair, and when i pulled my head up to look at the screen it would get a nice tug...So maybe this mic is more durable if you treat it right. Its what you would expect for 20 though...better then the 30 i had 2 give up 4 it...
