5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sounds great. Very comfortable. Silicon cord.

Cons: Packaged with the cord wrapped up too tightly, so it now has kinks.

Other Thoughts: Very much open-ear. Does not muffle any outside sound at all.

5 out of 5 eggsBest open ear headset i've owned thus far

Pros: This is my experience over the course of close to a year of owning this product

-Very sturdy and feels tough.
I bring this thing to LANs and i just have it in a bag in the back seat flailing around and it being okay about withoutany harm. The cable is fairly thick but doesnt get in your way which is great. The cable that connects to the actual headset could take being ran over and yanked a little by a chair, and I would put money on it being okay afterwards. Also the microphone doesnt sag down over time, very nice!

-Microphone sound quality and close to no background noise what so ever.
So I use skype a lot and when i'm in group calls and someone leaves then it's just me and just my other friend in the call, he'll then ask if the call dropped but it's just my background noise being close to non-existant and then i can respond and he'd be surprised, pretty funny.

-Long lasting cushions
My previous headphones were the bose comfort headphones and i switched to these because obviously that product is designed for different use other than using for skype calls as an example. However, I noticed with the bose headphones the cushions started to fall apart a little bit around the same ownership time ive had these. I can see these headphones lasting 3 or so years or even longer if taken care of.

-Microphone mute and volume control
Last but definitely not least, these headphones have the best microphone mute/volume control i've ever used. The microphone mute is controlled by the microphone literally retracting back along the side of the headphones, it's very convinient and easy to spare people on skype right before i sneeze. Kinda silly but it does become easy enough to mute before sneezing i've found. The volume control on the right side of the headphones is really just a convinience but i would consider it much easier to use intead of hacving a giant volume control at some point on the cord (which is never fun to use btw).

Cons: None of the cons have made me dislike the headset, but there are still cons non-the less.

-Volume range is alright.
This is probably the biggest of the "insignificant" cons? The range isn't the greatest compared to other headphones i've used, the reason I don't find this a problem is when I use headphones I normally don't have a large range of volume. This doesnt mean you wont notice it get louder or isn't capable of being loud or quiet. My recommendation is to set your volume knob to about 40 percent to 50, then go into your sound options and try to find "medium" volume for your taste and consider it volume calibration.

-Slightly large mic
This is pretty self explanitory, and again it's not too big a deal because you get used to it quick. I'm just glad the mic has not sagged down.

-Felt tight on head initially
This is at the bottom of all the slight quirks because this problem goes away really quick (after the first day for me). But when I first put them on it was like clenching my head and the cushion pads just needed to be broken in was all it was.

Other Thoughts: So one thing I didn't add was the price because you truly pay for the quality and sturdy longer lasting product because it's proven to be pretty tough thus far for almost a year.

One of the biggest things i didnt mention because i couldnt fit it, is how comfortable they are to wear for 5 hours to even 8 hours at a time. Open ear in my opinion is the way to go for that marathon like scenario because of your ears being able to breath the entire time unlike closed ear where you have a chance of having your ears sweat over a lot period of time.

I honestly would recommend this for anyone that wants a long lasting open ear headset with the quality of a more expensive headphone from sennheiser. Kind of a buy, and look no further.

If you want these options in closed ear there's a different brother model of this headset that is closed ear. Would recommend that model if you have a lot of noise in the background, or simply dont want to hear that fan in your room.

5 out of 5 eggsBest headset ive owned.

Pros: excellent sound quality, bass response. Comparing it to my sennheiser PC120 its just miles ahead.

Most comfortable headset ive ever tried. Comming from a PC120, Logitech G35, Razer Megalodon, this blows them all out of the water.

The current price of $166.00 is a STEAL.

I might even buy another for wh*/en-* +*this one (if it ever does) wears out. Which i dont think will be anytime soon.

The build quality is really great. And the earpads are like clouds.

Cons: All very minor, but i didnt want to sound one-sided.

I have a big head and its ever so slightly, just a tad tight. I wore it for about 6 hours straight last night and it was in no way uncomfortable though.

Cant think of any others yet.

Other Thoughts: Buy it now.

5 out of 5 eggsComing from closed headphones

Pros: -Open ear (I don't have to take off my headset when people try to talk to me)

-Very sturdy (Cord, cushions, and overall headphones feel like they can take a little abuse)

-Microphone quality & mute (When I first got this headset, people noticed right away in voice chat a superior quality in voice call quality. The mic can be muted by simply putting the mic "up", so far has been very convinient)

-Volume control (Theres a volume control on the right side of the headset, a 360 turn clock wise rotation to turn up the volume)

-Great sound (I normally use the Bose AE2 and compared to those, i'd say they have similar sound quality, however these sennheisers do define their bass a tad more, for more deep sounding open ear experiences)

Cons: -Volume can't go to mute (Lets say you have the volume all the way up in windows and adjust the volume through the headset (which i do), With the volume knob turned all the way "off" there is still sound going through)

-Microphone is slightly big (Self explanitory, however it isn't noticable unless you're looking at them from a 3rd person perspective)

-Headphones grip your head (On initial wearing for the first time, it tends to grip your head fairly intensely, however after a day or two this went away)

Other Thoughts: Overall the Pros dominate the cons so much I can't dock an egg off. Coming from the Bose AE2, I'm really enjoying them and can say i'm very happy. Also I don't get the "sweaty" ears over a long period of time like is very easily possible with the closed headset. I'd recommend these for previous users of closed headset/headset users that want to try out a headset that keeps you in the mists of whats going on around you while still keeping you in the game. If you want to block yourself from the outside world the 360 model isnt for you, go for the 350 closed alternative is my opinion.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality, Bad Service

Pros: Great Sound, Very Comfortable, Nice features.

Cons: Poor quality headphones, I received these as a gift at Christmas time. So I've had them for about 8 months at time of this review.

If you want to spend 250 dollars on a headset that only last 8 months then this is the headset for you.

I take good care of my electronics so I know they haven't been damaged but I'm extremely disappointed by the fact that they only lasted 8 months. I thought Sennheiser was a quality brand but boy was I wrong.

So I tried to get in contact with their customer service. While I have the original box and everything, seeing as this was a gift I didn't have a receipt. I don't know who gets a receipt with a gift but whatever.

Anyway I called Sennheiser and they were very adamant about the fact that without a reciept I was up the proverbial creek. I asked to speak to a manager no dice. I tried logic seeing as this model hasn't even been out for two years how could I possibly be out of the two year warranty, this still got me nothing.

It was honestly a nightmare dealing with their Customer Service, if there was ever a company who doesn't care about their customer once said customer made their purchase it is Sennheiser.

Other Thoughts: The headphones themselves sound great and feel great. They are just a horrible quality construction wise, and Sennheiser's Customer service is abysmal.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Clear Highs and mids, bass is not too over done. Very accurate. Just really nice. Mic has good noise canceling in it.

Cons: Cant take off the mic. Volume knob on the side.

Other Thoughts: This is a really awesome headset, I got them specifically for voip chat in mmo's but find myself using them over my Klipsh home audio speakers on just about any game.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Set

Pros: The product is ultimate. This is my second set of those and I can not complain. I ordered it under different account for another family member so please don't comment "you dont even own it" Get it if you are a gamer and still want very good music and movie sound. There is no better set for gaming. I went thru A LOT in 20+ years. Just do the google research if you need to know more about the set. Everything else in the product's details. I am writing this to warn you about cons of shipping method.

Cons: The carrier is the evil. Choose to pay more for the shipping because the 4-7 business days option is shipped by the worst of all: FEDEX. I live in Brooklyn. The package was sent from Edison, New Jersey (Monday). Simply said: 45 minutes drive. The package went thru fascinating process of being shipped in unusual fashion described in other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: The process:

Edison, NJ
Allentown, PA
Brooklyn, NY
Allentown, PA
Edison, NJ
Brooklyn, NY

Information sent to USPS, package picked up

Brooklyn, NY USPS facility and 24 hours of in transit/out for delivery.

What is the point of moving it so many times? Now, it most likely will come damaged and will cost me time for RMA. And newegg will have to go thru unnecessary process.

To newegg customer service: Please do not use fedex. Every time I order with you and see fedex I cry. I order for about 10 years from you and fedex has always failed me. Optional: mark the carrier when we have shipping options and/or add an option to check preferred carriers in orders placed or in account preferences. In this case we can eliminate fedex or USPS. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound, great service

Pros: Sound and build quality (see other thoughts)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am writing this, not so much to rate the product's functionality as to rate the Sennheiser's customer service.

My headset was out of warranty when I accidently got the cord caught under chair, then rolled back and ripped the sound input pigtail from the Y-fixture.

I went to the website to find the repair info so I could send it in for repair. They have a flat rate (for this headset) of 84.95 which includes shipping both ways. They did a quick turnaround and instead of getting my old, repaired set, they sent me a new set.

All I gotta say is great service from Sennheiser! Buy Sennheiser products with confidence that they'll take care of you after your purchase!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Headset!

Pros: This headset blew my Razer megalodon out of the water. When it comes to sound, this headset really takes the cake! Yes it is stereo compared to the megalodon's simulated surround sound. FPS gaming is still doable.

-I love how the mic boon can be raised to mute it.

-I can hear richer sounds compared to my former headset.

-I adore the 50% volume control on the side of the right ear cup. You can't control it from 0-100%. It seems to be a control for 50-100% based on your windows sound configuration settings.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this headset. I was debating between the Astro's a40 and this. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided on the PC360.
