5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: These headphones are very durable, comfortable, and have fantastic quality. I usually have trouble wearing over the ear headphones, however these fit my big head really well, and are really easy to adjust accordingly. I am like 2 weeks short of owning these headphones for a year at the time of this review, and I have had no problems with them shorting, or anything else.

Cons: No volume control integrated on the device, but most headphones you find are like this anyways, so this isn't really a con. Also the ear piece will snap off quite easily if you aren't careful, but it is really easy to fit back in to place.

Other Thoughts: I ordered these headphones during a promotional period, but I believe they are honestly worth the original price as advertised. I have honestly thought about getting a second pair of these for my girlfriend whom prefers over the ear headphones like myself.

3 out of 5 eggsInitially OK

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: Sounded OK and I was happy with them initially. They are Sennheiser!

Cons: I don't use headphones very often and these got very light use. The wires shorted on one side and pulled out of the other side. I don't pull on these and use them with a laptop which is a foot away. I do not think they are made to last past a year.

Other Thoughts: I have to find out if Sennheiser will stand behind the two-year warranty on these and whether it will be cheaper to replace these. If I do, it won't be with Sennheiser if they don't cover these.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones For the Price

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: - Low Cost
- Over the ear headset
- Great Sound Quality
- Comfortable leather cups
- Much better than most cheap in-store headphones
- Does provide some noise cancellation too

Cons: - Squeezes a little too tight on head. (Based on my own personal preference. I have a sensitive head and they give me a bit of a headache if I wear them for more than an hour.)

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of these headphones. I wear them everyday at work and they're very durable. The long cable makes it easy to reach any jack. Also the cable holder helps keep the cord from being messy and it also has a clip in case you want to wear your headphones when you're going on a walk, you can clip it to your pants or bag and not have your wires hanging, pulling, etc.

Personally, I bought these on sale for $14.95 but even if I bought them for the original price, I still would have been very happy with them. They were a great overall purchase and made me want to get even better headphones.

I would definitely recommend them to someone who wants some comfortable headphones for a low price. I personally like them because they provide just enough noise cancellation that I can focus on my work without the chatter in the room distracting me but if someone yells my name, I can still hear them.

The only downfall to these headphones is that they give me a headache when I wear them for a long period of time. They have soft leather cups and soft leather cushion on the top headbands, but they put too much pressure on my head. I think it's just a personal preference though. I've had them for about 3 months so it may just be the initial break in period too.

1 out of 5 eggsOatmeal

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: Not tight like other reviewers are warning about.

Cons: Sounds like listening to music through two bowls of oatmeal. No highs or mids. Has decent bass, but it's murky, like what you would hear if 15 feet under water.

Other Thoughts: Avoid... I got these on sale for what a music CD sells for, but it's not even worth that low price. I can't even use these for my metal detector. Will end up donating it to my grandmother who can't hear anyways...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: I nabbed these for $15.99 on sale and I haven't regretted it. Great quality for the price. Tune these Sennheisers however you want because hey come with a completely flat EQ.

Cons: These are not width adjustable at all. I have owned mine for 6 months and I use them every day and I must keep them wrapped around a "head size" box to stretch them out. If I leave them sitting on my desk for even half a day they will feel very uncomfortable wen I put them on.

5 out of 5 eggsWork great for me

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: Good clean sound. Balanced. Good reproduction.

Cons: None that I am aware of.

Other Thoughts: I hook these up to my Amplifii FX100 guitar effects pedal and send music and guitar through them at the same time. (music comes from cheap android tablet via bluetooth to the effects pedal) The music comes through great and the guitar just sounds fantastic. The guitar sounds so good it has spoiled me to the point I don't like using my amp anymore.

I can see how they could hurt your ears after a long period of time. But I don't usually use them long enough for them to hurt me.

For the price it's hard to go wrong, and I paid twice as much for them and have two sets. In short, they work really great for what I use them for.

3 out of 5 eggstoo tight on the ears

This review is from: Sennheiser HD202 Over-Ear DJ Headphones

Pros: better than some headphones

Cons: Not as good as some on sound, reputation is only reason I bought them, well now I know. Cheap enough to give to my grandson, he will not notice the difference. Maybe they will fit his smaller head better, small adult head will hurt after a while, could use some acetone to melt them wider, just to much work. My CHEAP JBLs are way better.
