4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: These headphones are really nice, good sound (with a sounds card, if not dont get them).

Cons: They feel like cheap plastic, like with just me putting them on/off will break them one day, which isn't good,
Also the sound is not very good without a sound card, its also very quiet without a sound card, overall these are decent,
cant get much better for the price, so I'll keep it at 4 instead of 3 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: -Good response of all frequencies
-Comfy ear-pads
-Light-weight
-Can be run off of any device (Ipods, computers, etc.)

Cons: -Cord is thin and easily breakable
-Mids are too high, pushes out the rest
-Not "bass" headphones by any means
-No detachable cord

Other Thoughts: I bought these for a friend as introductory "good" headphones. I bought a 3.5mm female jack, took out the original cord and soldered the jack in place with silver solder along with some plastic epoxy. It allows for any 3.5mm male jack to connect to it so it's removable like any good pair of headphones. No issues have been had so far, the person finds the sound to be much better than any other headphone and the structure to be of good quality. Overall these are greatly priced currently and are worth every penny.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor material quality

Pros: Still has class Sennheiser sound.

Cons: I have been a customer of Sennheiser's headphones for close to a decade, I originally owned a pair of HD 428's that lasted 3 years. Now in the last 4 months I've gone through a new 428 and now a 429 that both have deteriorated disturbingly quickly as the wire fails somewhere just past the jack.

Other Thoughts: I can't recommend a replacement brand just yet, but for my atleast I am not going to throw anymore money at Sennheiser equipment as it is definitely no longer remotely close to professional grade.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Headphones

Pros: High quality plastic, the foam and material covering it are quite comfortable. Sound is very clear, bass doesn't drown out the treble. Gold plated connector, shouldn't wear out anytime soon. Fits my rather small head and my brother's large head comfortably.

Cons: Doesn't quite grip as well as I had hoped, wobbles a bit and fatigues ears after a while.(1 or 2hrs). The bass is a tiny bit too quiet, personal preference though. Cord is something off a pair of earbuds.

Other Thoughts: Paired with a Xonar DX, the bass is easily rectified and sounds great.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic headphones

Pros: I bought these after the connection to the earcups on my HD 202s began to fail on both sides.

Sound quality is fantastic - at least to me - and improved after breaking them in for a couple weeks, although the sound is very flat and benefits from a slight bass boost in my opinion. They're better than any other pair of headphones I've owned, although that's not saying much as these are the most expensive I've used.

Build quality feels solid enough, and they're very comfortable as well, not too tight and stay on your head. They also dampen outside noise significantly.

Cons: No real complaints except that the cord is very, very thin, almost worryingly so.

Other Thoughts: Definitely recommend these if you're looking for midrange headphones.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat first pair.

Pros: I love music, and have been on the lookout for some decent phones for a while, and one day I found these. I loved the look and specs of them, and wanted a pair. So I bought em, and they worked awesome.

I know there's a thing about Sennheisers and burning them in for 200+ hours, but honestly-- I've been letting them run all night for the past month, as well as extensive day-use, and I can't tell a difference. They sound great either way.

I'm no audio expert, so I don't know what GREAT headphones sound like, nor terrible ones, but I do know that these are not terrible. They are worth every penny, with comfort, style, and sound alike.

Cons: The only real problem I had with these is the cord. It's super long, which may be awesome for some people, but I'm a pretty mobile person, and it wasn't too convenient for me. I ended up just tying a good 5-foot section of it together with a rubber band to shorten it, so nothing to fuss over.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried any headphone amps with these yet, but I'll probably pick up a $40-60 one and see if it enhances the sound any.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cans

Pros: Nice sound, very sturdy. Really long cord and gold plated 3.5mm connector. Love the look of these, not too flashy and not too plain. Gotta love the Sennheiser logo.

Cons: Really long cord, can bother some if they dont like long cords, but I dont mind so not worth losing an egg over.

Other Thoughts: Use an equalizer. The bass is not over emphasized on these nor the mids or highs, it has a nice flat sound. if you want more bass turn it up it has 40mm drivers, they CAN produce more.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly as Advertised

Pros: Great sound they work exactly as advertised by Sennheiser themselves.

Cons: What I plug them into... I have a cheap off-name-brand portable device and a laptop with some driver issues.

Other Thoughts: I regret to admit I bought these offline...
