5 out of 5 eggsbad as it is.

Pros: i had my doughts but when it came to buy them i did , so now they are great they sound so perfect with the asus xonar phoebus it is the best for gaming sounds i never heard on a on board audio you should go for it dont hazatate to buy them you will love to hear your music from them to but you need that audio sound card with if not your wasting your time with just the headset so remember to buy a high end audio card thats going to push these headset so while im in game battlefield 3 theres more sound to it if they were to attack me from behind if it was from the right you hear it from the left you hear it on the left speaker and the right is the right sound if they were coming to you for the middle right behind you you'll hear it on both speakers besides all that you hear you foot sets with there foot steps while you hear bullets from the sound as they fly by and to the impact of the sound to the bombs when you throw the granade and it hits the ground and when it blows up and the wind blowing and the sea ocean to the birds and the choppers and theres more to it but it picks up so much detials in the game to any other game and as for music theres sounds that youll never heard in the music befor so buy them with the sound card and what ever game you play or music you listen to you will hear sounds and things that you never heard before on your on board motherboard audio or mp3 mp4 ipod none of that is notting compare to these headset but you need a sound card and not just any sound card the asus xonar phoebus sound card is what i have and pushs this headset of 150 ohms.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i had though about it for 2 monts before i bought them and you know what i love them there great cause i hear everything and more O on battlefield 3 when you are hearing all that rucks in the backround even when you or the enemy is speaking you can hear them paracute from the sky and these headset saved me at times kjnow and its not that my onboard audio on my motherboard is bad because my motherboard is a asus maximus v extreme high end an the sound is good on it but these headsets with that sound card makes it more clear and theres more sound that you don't hear from a onboard soundcard.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound, Questionable Value

Pros: To start, the sound quality in this headset is amazing. I have never before had a home-use headset with such clear and enjoyable audio. The microphone is also very good, certainly a nice combination of positives for gaming. The lows are as clear and audible as the highs. Guitars come through clean, and the bass will not drown out your ears. The cord is long enough for almost any situation, and the cord's clip includes mic on/off toggle and headset volume adjustment. All in all, this is highly recommended on all accounts of sound quality.

Cons: I have owned this for over two years (could not buy it on newegg back then or I would have!) and it has been treated delicately the entire time. Despite careful handling, the right sound channel went dead a year ago, and the microphone has been getting quieter as the months go by. This headset never moves, ever. It is plugged into my computer at all times, and the cord is never dragged about. The headset itself rests on my desk always and there is plenty of slack in the cable. Despite enormous caution, the wires through the headset band have either severed or shorted leaving the right channel dead. I am unsure what is causing the microphone to lose volume over time, but it is quite noticeable on gaming comms and in recorded videos.

The ear padding is cheap fake leather but most headsets have this; over time it just kind of falls off, leaving bare foam. Not a big problem, this can be expected from almost every headset.

Other Thoughts: The price is a bit steep for a corded headset, but I wouldn't let that affect your purchasing choice. This really is a nice headset. So long as the left channel still plays properly, I intend to keep this. But I do suggest caution as the build quality seems to favor everything but the fragile wires.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Excellent sound quality
-High quality, sturdy construction
-Long, braided fabric cable
-Clear, high quality microphone

Cons: -A bit heavy after wearing for extended periods, not enough of a consideration to dock an egg for.

Other Thoughts: Originally I had a wireless headset from Logitech, the idea being that I would be able to move around with a greater degree of freedom than with a wired headset. This turned out to not be the case, after overpaying for what would have been a $30 headset if it had been wired and dealing with a myriad of issues related to the wireless nature of the headset, short battery life and regular signal distortions, I opted to look for a new headset. Eventually I settled on the PC 350 SE model, a bit expensive in my books but I'd read good things elsewhere, and the long cable provided the flexibility I desired from a headset. In addition, there is a clear difference in sound quality, so much so that I was taken aback by it at first.

Definitely worth the investment, if the lack of product picture worries you, which it did for me, there are plenty of images on Sennheiser's website. While I do feel such product pictures should be available on here without having to hunt them down, I am pretty sure that is Newegg's issue and not Sennheiser's.
