1 out of 5 eggsDestroying IOGEAR Brand

Pros: Rarely it actually functions as a mouse

Cons: Usually it does not work at all. Problems include, poor out of spec USB extension cable which comes packaged with device which leads to the device losing connection constantly. Cheap materials leading to a poor overall feel. won't even show up as a mouse on many computers.

Other Thoughts: IOGEAR is desroying its brand with this one product. I had a lot of respect for the brand, and then I bought two of these mice. Both have the same problems of losing connection and it has nothing to do with the cable winding device. It is the cheap connectors and the out of spec extension cable that cause the problems. I would return it but its not worth the shipping.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and we apologize for your experience.
We will be glad to assist you and process an RMA for you.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: It's small, it has a retractable cord, it's aesthetically pleasing.

Cons: The problem for me isn't the precision, it's the lag. I know it's only 800 dpi, but it feels so much lower than that. I feel like I'm trying to point and select items on my computer using a rubber stick. Tested on two separate machines.

Other Thoughts: This mouse feels like it has permanent, non-changeable mouse acceleration/lag. It feels extremely clunky and slow. I'm not even talking about gaming or editing; I mean for general desktop/laptop use.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not last long

Pros: Small, worked OK as a notebook mouse.

Cons: Dead in less than a year. When plugged in, the LED turns on but no mouse function. Windows reports it as "malfunctioning". The culprit probably is the flimsy cable.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and we apologize for the experience you had. The problem may be caused by the cable. When pulling the cable, please pull from both ends evenly.

Since the product comes with three year warranty, you may contact us for a replacement unit if you wish. For further assistance, please feel free to contact our customer support at 1-866-946-4327 or email us: support@iogear.com. Once again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

1 out of 5 eggsworthless

Pros: small and portable

Cons: I bought four of these for my laptop. I am on my last one already in 8 months. The left click button works great at first then works sometimes.

Other Thoughts: Sticking with name brands only now. Not worth the time to find out your mouse doesn't work on a trip.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and sorry about your experience.

The mouse comes with a retractable cable and if the cable was not pulled properly, you may experience some issues. For further assistance, please call IOGEAR at 1 (866) 946-4327, email us at support@iogear.com, or do live chat with IOGEAR support. You may request a call tag if you receive a defective unit.

Once again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: LOL

Cons: It worked great for two months and then died. Called customer service because ithas a "three year warranty". Ha Ha The catch is it cost more to ship back and forth than I paid for it!! Bought a microsoft mouse and stay away from companies like OCZ and IO gear...I don't make the same mistake twice.

1 out of 5 eggsLoved it untill it broke!

Pros: I really liked this mouse but two days ago my pc started to freak out! I thought I had a virus attacking my USB ports, nope just a cheap intermitent cable! You would think you could get more than two months for a brand new product. :(

Cons: $20 or two months! Lets see if I can get a replacement or my money back...

Other Thoughts: I liked it but it's obviously not durable,no obvious damage on inspection but it is in the cable!!!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to learn that the mouse didn't work well for you. To use a computer mouse with the retractable cable, please pull the cable on both ends of the spool at the same time to avoid any one end of the cable getting stuck or winding on its own.

The product comes with 3 year warranty. You may contact our customer support and we'll be more than happy to help you out.

Please call IOGEAR at 1 (866) 946-4327, email us at support@iogear.com, or do live chat with IOGEAR support.

Thank you.

2 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Worked well for the short time it functioned properly. I did notice that clicking both mouse buttons at the same time would sometimes result in fighting for which one would actually click, instead of just simply both of the buttons.

Cons: One day while using this mouse the primary mouse button kind of sunk in. As in the plastic for the button went limp and I had to push down hard to get it to click the button.

I took it apart and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't hold itself above the button properly, like the right-click button. Seeing as I had only paid 10 bucks for this, I just chucked it into the garbage.

Other Thoughts: I just wanted a cheap travel mouse, but apparently this little guy was more cheap than travel.

Manufacturer Response:

We do apologize for the inconvience caused by the quality issue of this unit. We also do offer 3 year warranty.

Please contact IOGEAR support, and ask for a call tag (meaning IOGEAR will pay for the shipping cost in this particular case). It is very important to mention that this is authorized by the IOGEAR product management.

Many thanks for trying IOGEAR, we hope we can change your view with our service.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: durable, cheap, and so far works pretty well. I use it on my old acer laptop and i dont notice any additional battery drain.

Cons: no fwd / backword button for web browsing, but then again, its so small i'd rather it stay cheap than double in cost for 2 buttons.

1 out of 5 eggsNot happy

Pros: Small size, comfortable.

Cons: Cord spool won't let the cord stay extended.

Other Thoughts: I would have been very happy with this mouse, except that after a few weeks of use, the little spool that winds up the cord stopped working -- the mechanism that holds it open always wants to wind up the cord on its own. This is very frustrating as I find the mouse always wanting to run back to the laptop's USB port where it'c connected.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
I am sorry to learn that the mouse didn't work well for you. One tip on using a computer mouse with retractable cable, please pull the cable on both ends of the spool at the same time to avoid any one end of the cable getting stuck or winding on its own. If you still have any problem using this product, please feel free to give us a call and our technical support can be reached 24/7 at http://atenpbsr2.aten-usa.net:8000/Inet_tech/form/us/index.asp

Thank you.
