5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: This mouse is exactly what I needed to complete my new gaming PC. Its quick response time, coupled with wired stability allowed me to quickly advance from bronze to silver in StarCraft 2, making me a top contender amongst family members like my mom and baby brother. My dad still uses a cheater mouse made by another company that pretty much clicks by itself, auto winning all games.

Cons: Design is a little uninspiring, leaves a little style to be desired.

Other Thoughts: Mouse is highly recommended if you want a legit high performance gaming mouse. I would say I know a lot about computers, I installed Norton on all the computers in my house, so I kind of know what's going on when it comes to computers.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a Mouse

Pros: This mouse is a very well put together. I like the wing design for the mouse buttons. The trackball is very easy to use with great precision.

Cons: There is no Scroll feature on the mouse, I have had a scroll mouse since the early 90's and they didn't incorporate it into this design? I have a hard time using a mouse without scroll.
The TrackBall also will fall out of the mouse if it is tilted enough for the ball to come free, no force is necessary.

Other Thoughts: This would be a great mouse if only there was a scroll button available. As far a gaming goes, if you are playing a game that only requires two main functions, it would be a great purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsLinux - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Pros: I still love them. I have two, one for my desktop and one for travel with a laptop. Scroll emmulation works in Linux and in Virtual Box using guests of Windows XP and Window7. Scroll is just hold in the right button and spin the trackball. Easy to adjust click sensitivity to match your click speed. Default was too quick. I had to click more than once and missed clicks. That's maddening when you play a click intensive game.

Cons: Ubuntu releases often break things that were working fine. Now in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS I am using the following steps:

Other Thoughts: Create a text file that contains:
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Exec=/Data/bin/xinput_Kensington.sh
Hidden=false
NoDisplay=false
X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true
Name[en_US]=Xinput Kensington Trackball
Name=Xinput Kensington Trackball
Comment[en_US]=Enable Trackball scroll feature
Comment=Enable Trackball scroll feature

Save the text file as:
xinput_Kensington.sh.desktop
in
/home/$USERName/.config/autostart/
(make directories if needed)

Create the text file/script for the "Exec=" above
Data/bin/xinput_Kensington.sh

#!/bin/bash
xinput set-prop --type=int --format=8 "Kensington Kensington USB/PS2 Orbit" "Evdev Wheel Emulation" 1
xinput set-prop --type=int --format=8 "Kensington Kensington USB/PS2 Orbit" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Button" 3
xinput set-prop --type=int --format=16 "Kensington Kensington USB/PS2 Orbit" "Evdev Wheel Emulation Timeout" 600

The script has three long lines that begin with xinput and end with 1 or 3 or 600. The third line sets the click sensitivity. 600 works for me. Too little and my clicks get ignored, I'm using old fingers :(

5 out of 5 eggsDecent device

Pros: - plug n play
- sensitive/accurate
- smooth rolling trackball
- no driver installation

Cons: Only con is that, to me, it feels a little cheap. for the price I can't really complain though and its not enough to take an egg off.

Other Thoughts: Straight forward enough, works well and gets the job done. has the accuracy of more expensive mice like my g9x.

This will take some getting used to but it works well and isn't overly cheap feeling for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Love this thing, as I have passed Kensington Trackballs. Very little strain on the wrist at all and with a addition wrist support under it, there is none at all. For someone who works on computer 12-15 hours a day, this thing is a life saver. Precision is great.

Cons: No scrolling...but then I knew that, but then again that's why the keyboard has up/down buttons.

4 out of 5 eggsHer Big Grey ball

Pros: Inexpensive, good style, great for work station. I got this in a combo so it came with a gel mouse pad and it is sweet.

Cons: No scroll bar. Keep your ball clean. No one wants to use a "dirty ball" and besides your side buttons that is where everyone is going to be touching it. Not sure how the laser is gonna act knowing if the user has dirty fingers it has more of a chance to get stuff on it. Takes one egg off.

Other Thoughts: I prefer my pretty blue glowing DeathAdder. Got this for g.f. telling her that it was not gonna be like my Razor mouse that she was used to.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!

Pros: This trackball is exactly what my son needs. It is easy to use and the setup was instant whether using Linux or Windows.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am glad that they are still making trackballs because I have been using them for about ten years and it really helps a lot. No more having to sweep my hand across the desk to move or click on something!

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT!

Pros: Good space saver, Lover playing FPSs with it, Has a nice ball you can take out and play with when you get board ;) (that did not sound good)

Cons: Hard to get used to, i have been using it since i was a kid, and non of my friends, or even family can use it (so i almost need two mouses) no scroll but i never found that to be a problem

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I was hoping

Pros: Saves Space, easy to set up.

Cons: Moving middle three fingers are unnatural. No scroll wheel. A pain when thats all I've ever used to scroll. I hate having to go and grab the scroll bar...

Other Thoughts: Maybe if it were a little less ergonomic. Its just that my hand gets tired using this thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mouse home computer, office, or light gaming.

Pros: After using this product for over a year I am now in love with trackball mice. Having the ball in the center allows me to comfortably manipulate it with three fingers (thumb and pinky are left and right buttons). Also, I tend to have a cluttered desk so it's great to not have to devote half of my desk to a mouse.

Cons: First, it doesn't have a scroll wheel. Second, this used slide around on my desk until I put some duct strips down to provide extra friction. Third, the design was uncomfortable for my wrist, I currently am using a 5 lb dumbbell I had lying around to raise my wrist about 3 inches.

Other Thoughts: When I move the trackball too fast it doesn't track movement at all. Sometimes, even when I am moving the ball slowly it's not moving the cursor. When this happens I can move the ball a good half rotation and get no response from the cursor. This happens rarely though, and these complaints only cause me problems for gaming. It's probably time for me to get a more expensive mouse.
