4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Trackball movement is very smooth (clean off any dust from the ball before you first use it); scroll wheel feels really natural; detachable rubber-like wrist rest is comfortable.

Cons: Buttons feel "chunky" in that I have to apply a little more pressure than other mice. I prefer buttons that respond to a lighter touch. Their "click" seems almost loud in comparison to other devices.

5 out of 5 eggsCurrently my go-to trackball mouse

Pros: I have put 3 years of heavy use on this mouse and it is still functioning smoothly. Scroll wheel is a little odd to get use to but definitely comes in handy.I'm able to scroll with my ring finger while my thumb and pinky remain on the buttons AND my middle and index are able to remain on the ball. The added rest pad for my palm makes it very comfortable that boosted it up to a five star rating.

Cons: None. price was very fair for what I got out of it

Other Thoughts: If you like making use of more then two buttons on a mouse you will be out of luck.

2 out of 5 eggsScroll ring almost unusable

Pros: Trackball inherently better than mouse

Cons: Scroll wheel is coarse.

Other Thoughts: I prefer a trackball to a mouse, but this was disappointing. As opposed to scrolling on my Gigabyte mouse, the scroll wheel surrounding the ball is imprecise. There's a sense of click-click rather than smooth movement.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but not enough buttons

Pros: Fairly smooth operation, scroll wheel works nicely. On sale at $20.

Cons: Slightly short cord, lacks essential buttons that nearly every other decent pointing device has.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately the lack of additional buttons beyond the 2 is going to be a show stopper for any serious trackball user. This is 2015 and the market seems wide open for a full-featured trackball, but Kensington continues to miss the boat. You'd be silly not to go with an M570.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Trackball Mouse

Pros: Been using this trackball mouse for more then 2 years and it is still responsive and functions properly. I love trackball mice so much that I ONLY use trackball mice. Usually by 2 years I have to replace them because I ware them out. Scroll wheel is different but I don't hate it.

Cons: Does not have very many clicky button options.

Other Thoughts: The price is very fair for what you get with this one.

I really wish there were more options available for people who enjoy a nice stationary trackball mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsEnjoyable.

Pros: SCROLL RING
The scroll ring is probably the best feature of this device. It's the only kind of wheel similar to an ipod wheel for desktop computers. It's great to be able to scroll continuously forever without stopping and instantly changing direction. I wish i could buy a standalone flat or similar "wheel" just to use by itself.

Being able to just move the ball around is great. Sometimes i wish the ball was larger but i don't have anything to really compare it with.

Cons: No middle mouse button. This is annoying but something you get used to eventually. I wish it had a middle mouse button or at least some additional buttons, such as back/forward.

The left click button began malfunctioning less than 2 years after use. It began misclicking, clicking multiple times, and "letting go" while holding the mouse unless pushing the button in a certain way. I wanted to send it in for warranty but I couldn't remember where I purchase it from to get a receipt. I was going to purchase a new one but instead, after much frustration, opened it up myself and opened up the left click switch which had a small flat metal "spring" with corrosion on the bottom. I cleaned the corrosion off with a mild abrasive (baking soda) and water and re-assembled and everything works great now. Other than dealing with the issue for so long, the actual repair was probably easier than any kind of warranty or RMA, though I probably would have used the warranty a year ago if i had found my receipt etc.

Dust and gunk will build up inside the ball "pit". It requires cleaning every so often, but isn't a huge deal to just pop the ball out and wipe off the light lens and ball. Sometimes the ball can get "stuck" when trying to do fine movements causing the mouse to not move or jump. Usually popping it out and back in is enough to fix any issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: I've just ordered my 3rd. The last 2 have held up really well. The mechanical scroll ring has been the deciding factor for the last 2.

Cons: The cord is a bit shorter than previously owned trackballs. Wish I could find this in a cordless version.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ball mouse.

Pros: Two buttons, scroll wheel, and the mouse ball is in the center of the mouse instead of the side.

Has not failed or glitched even once since purchase.

Cons: Not wireless.

Other Thoughts: Purchased for my mother who has issues with normal mice, ball mice with the ball on the thumb, and trackpads. Works perfectly for her, and she is very pleased with the quality of it.

2 out of 5 eggshave chronic lateral epicondylitis? AVOID!

Pros: -Scroll ring.
-Makes a nice door stop.

Cons: -THIS MOUSE IS WAY TO BIG to hold comfortably in your hands.
-Buttons are very stiff compared to other mice.

Other Thoughts: I have chronic lateral epicondylitis. I must periodically cradle/hold the mouse in close to my body to avoid inflaming my arms. The Logitech Trackman (N82E16826104249) is a nice size for holding in your hands. THIS MOUSE IS WAY TO BIG to hold comfortably in your hands. After a decade of using many Trackman mice wishing it had a scroll wheel, I give this mouse a try. FAIL! This wide bulky beast can only be used on a desktop. I thought one of the main reasons for having a trackball mouse was so you could sit back and hold it without needing a desktop regardless of arm problems.....who wants to be quarantined to a desktop once you experience the freedom of a trackball?

Would be great if the buttons required normal compression and it was able to be hand held.
