5 out of 5 eggsbig headed user loves it

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: just got these in the mail~!
and first thoughts: love it~
I usually have a hard time finding headsets that i find comfortable. these however are RAD. fully circumaural. they rest fully on my head and dont even though my ears
(i'm a 6'3" 265-lb male who wears a size 8 hat. i also wear big frame glasses)

Cons: my genre of music is rock and roll
so these sound a bit muffled but not worth losing an egg

mic is a bit sensitive but i used some software to fix that, again not worth egg loss

Other Thoughts: for $25 its a steal. I've only had for less than a day but even if it breaks in a month or something (not that it will i take decent care of my stuff) its still less than a buck a day.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for what they are

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: These Sybas are on the bassy side. They feel good, maybe a little tight on the head but the pleather covered foam padding is firm and comfy. If I'm busy working or gaming I can usually forget they're even on, although because of their fit and pleather seal around the ears they can get a bit warm after a while depending on ambient temperature. The microphone seem to work well enough, I haven't used it extensively though.

Cons: Unfortunately they're also a little muddy sounding. Although that usually comes with the bassy territory. The dynamic range of these cans is kind of weak. They drop sharply around 30hz but down to 20hz is still somewhat usable. On the high end, they basically die around 16500 hz. Sure, they make sound up to 20khz, but you're not going to hear it in practical listening as it's extremely quiet compared to their mostly usable range of 30 - 16k.

Other Thoughts: These headphones, like any others, will work great for some things and not so well for others. They shine for vocals and some pop or bass tracks, although not all bass tracks since they'll trail off for the really low stuff. Most modern rock comes through muffled and muddy, although some things can sound really great if they aren't heavy sounding already. Just as an example, Joe Jackson's Look Sharp! or Green Day's 1039/Smooth actually sound thumpy through these headphones, if you're familiar with those albums you'll know that isn't natural. Other things that are already mixed on the bassy side, Soundgarden or Powerman 5000 for instance, are really mellow and basically sound like you're listening through pillows.

They do require a little bit of power, I usually use them on my PC and they work fine, if I use them on something like my cell phone it can't quite give them what they need and will start to distort and garble above 70% power.

Overall though despite the unnaturally deep tone and slight tightness, they're really just easy to listen to. I've never found them fatiguing and, as I mentioned previously, aside from needing a break to let them (and my ears) air out after a couple hours I don't ever feel a pain or fatigue that would force me to remove them before I was finished. I got them roughly 86% off their 69.99 MSRP, and considering their comfort and moonlighting as a headset/mic I think they were worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent headset!

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: I own Monster, Sony and Sennheiser heaphones. So when I received these, I was not expecting much from them. Boy was I wrong! The over the ear cups seal comfortably and evenly, eliminating most background noise and preventing sound leakage. I've use the mic as well for voip and I've been told the voice quality is great.

Cons: The size of the headset has prevented me from taking them on the go; while on they look very bulky, and while around the neck it can be uncomfortable at times. Also, as with most over the ear headsets, they become easily discomforting for those of us who wear glasses.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

The build of the headset was made to be for a bold look. It is the type of headphones to attact attention because of it's unique design.

Eventually users who wear glasses don't notice the tightness after they straighten their glasses and a few minutes of use.

Thank you for purchasing one of our products, and for leaving us your valuable feedback.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Headphones

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: I was impressed with these headphones. Seeing that they were free when purchasing a tablet I was expecting them not to be that great but I was wrong. Sound is good and it looks great.

Cons: Only a couple of problems I noticed is when the cord is slightly pinch at times the sound would cut/blur out and that there was a broken piece in the headphones making noise when you move it around. Overall a good product.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprised

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: I was somewhat surprised by these headphones. They are very clear and deep. I don't know precisely how to explain it, but you get the full range of sound. Compared to my $30 headphones I was suddenly shocked by the difference.

Even better, I got these free for buying a new tablet!

Another good thing (though I could see it also being negative in certain situations) the headphones have a tight grip, yet are still comfy for medium to long periods of time. After a full day of using them I do tend to get a small headache near my temples.

Cons: - A little tight, can cause headache after 8 hours or so
- Mic isn't all that great

Not worth losing an egg.

Other Thoughts: All in all it's a nice headset, and it's got an inline mic, so you can use it with a tablet, etc.

Arrived on time, as usual!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

The reason the headphones may seem to be tight at first is to fit all size heads, including children.

Over time, the grip will loosen to be more confortable.

Thank you for purchasing our products and for your support.

5 out of 5 eggsThey seem pretty good to me

This review is from: Syba OG-AUD63038-2 Oblanc Cobra200 2.0 Stereo Headphones with In-line Mic (Black)

Pros: they are analog
no switching of inputs, just plug em in and they work
they have the 4 band plug and the adapter for 2x 3band

Cons: i dont know if id pay 60 bucks for them
i had a pair of 60 buck plantronics that were better
but for free (with the nexus7 2) or for 30 or 40 they are nice

Other Thoughts: Go Bucks!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for the feedback and your support.

We encourage our customer to tell us about our products in order to improve them in the future.
