3 out of 5 eggscompatability

Pros: Although I never heard the sound quality the head set fits nice. The microphone's flexible stem is perfect.

Cons: The USB plug is not compatible with PS3. My PS3 only has two USB plugs and no other plug types for headsets.
This is NOT compatible with all PS3s. There must other input pugs usually an AV wire (red, white and microphone jack)

2 out of 5 eggssounds ok not very comfortable. mic loopback

Pros: sounds decent. for its price the sound quality is not bad
cable is pretty long although it isn't braided but its 30 dollars can't expect much

Cons: Mic - loopback very annoying can't turn it off. if you enable the mic you will hear yourself and its not quiet. even if you don't talk you will still notice the sound. I didn't even bother using it cause of how annoying it is. and no you can't turn this feature off.
Its not comfortable if you have a big head which I do. it does not extend enough.

Other Thoughts: this headset is made for people with smaller heads. I wouldn't get this if you use the mic at all.

2 out of 5 eggsOkay while they last

Pros: They work.
Loopback channel isn't overbearing.

Cons: The inline controls never worked properly. One of them controlled all of the volume while the game volume control never did anything. I rarely used them, and now suddenly Windows stopped recognizing them while I was using them and nothing. Everytime I plug them back in it either says it does not recognize them or no driver can be found.

The issue is the headset, because it no longer works in my tablet, phone, or other PCs either. AVOID!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We apologize for your dissatisfaction with the quality of this headset.

Please note that you need to properly set the headset as the default device for the inline controls to work properly. Using the Default set from the OS will not work.

Connect the device to the USB ports on your system and run a hardware scan in the Device Manager to pick up the device.

Thank you for purchasing one of our products, and for leaving us your valuable feedback.

4 out of 5 eggsWould recommend

Pros: Budget friendly. Comfortable. Good audio quality. Solid mic

Cons: It feels cheap. The sound is audible across the room. The pad on the top can get a tad uncomfortable after extended use

Other Thoughts: Overall a good headset. Would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price.

Pros: Great for the price($28) . They're extremely loud enough for me and comfortable. Pads are removable and so is the mic. Pads actually allow your ears to breath with out having to sweat. Mic quality is good, or so my friends say. The cord length is about 8-10 feet, I can lay on my bed and listen to things late at night. No problem. Not to heavy to where you can actually move your head around and not have it fall. Clip on the controls make cable management for you so much easier. Cord quality looks good and the design is cool looking.

Cons: Thanks to the breathable pads you can hear the sound everywhere in the room. I have a weird buzzing sound coming from the aux. not sure if its the head set or PC case since I have no other headphones loud enough to hear it. Clip is pretty cheap and scares me it'll break. hasn't yet .

4 out of 5 eggsGood if you live alone

Pros: Very comfortable design. Removable, cloth-covered padding is hand-washable. Your ears also breath well so long gaming sessions aren't a problem. The mic's boom is very flexible, stays in place but doesn't fight you. Decent sound quality. The mic locks into place well, but is detachable. It's a good headset but not a great set of headphones on its own. The in-line controls are useful, as is the clip on them.

Cons: Decent headset, not very good headphones. These are comfortable and the mic is well designed, but these don't leak sound, they bleed them all over the room. It's almost as loud listening to the headphones on someone else as it is to wear them. That being said, they also have very little bass. Good for voice coms with other gamers and playing, but don't expect full immersion in blockbuster sound or anything.

As for the mic, as I said above, it's detachable, I just can't figure out why. On their own, these are not great headphones and I would want to maim anyone who tried using them in public for private listening since the whole room will be privately listening with you.

The inline controls are a lil bulky with their casing measuring approximately 1"x3". The clip makes that not really noticeable though. My biggest gripe with the controls are the separate dials for game sound and chat sound. I'm a PC gamer. The chat volume hasn't had any effect on any program I've tried, including all my GOG, Steam, and Origin games.

The drivers. Ok, I've read a lot of other reviews and see why they irritate most people. You have an audio loop so you can hear your own voice. Personally, I like that. It gives me confirmation of what I'm transmitting and what the volume of my voice is so I'm not accidentally whispering or screaming at teammates. On the other hand, my PC gives me the option to turn that on and off. It's a basic function in windows. Making it a feature of the hardware, especially one that you can't turn off or alter the volume of, is just plain stupid. That being said, I find it an acceptable volume by default, but not everyone is me, in fact, no one else is. They should have the option to change it or kill it entirely.

Other Thoughts: I got mine on sale for $39. Not a bad price and I'm happy with these, but even a basic design review should have caught all of these Cons I've listed.

2 out of 5 eggsI stay with my Rosewill RHM-556's

Pros: Sound is really good and so is the mic

Cons: The pad that sits on your head is like Chinese water torture. It only touches a small part of your head and just drives you crazy. The mic gets looped back to the speakers in the headset. There is no way to stop it so dont bother replying to this saying to check my setting. The ear pads do not hold in sound well or keep sound out. If you turn your volume up for music everyone in the room will be disturbed from the sound leaking out or if you have people being noisy in the same room you will hear it.

Other Thoughts: I messed around with this headset hopping it would be my replacement for my Rosewill RHM-556 but with all the cons i have gone back. With my Rosewill if I turn my music to its loudes people in the same room cant hear a thing unless I take them off and the same goes for hearing them make noises when I have them turned down. Im just glad i got them on sale and will use them as a backup if my Rosewill's die/break till i get a new pair in. The mic is better than my Rosewill's but not by much and the speakers sound the same quality.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear that you did not find this headset to your liking over the Rosewill RHM-556.

We have taken your observation about the headband into consideration for our updated headsets.

Please note that the ear pads will not always form a perfect seal due to the size of the pads and the different head and ear sizes of users.

4 out of 5 eggsPurchased for PS3

Pros: None so far

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: For PS3 connection you need to have the PS3 A/V cable to get the left/right audio channels (or connect to the TV audio out if your TV has that) . I would not consider that PS3 ready.

Will up the review after I buy the PS3 A/V cable :-(

5 out of 5 eggsSyba headset

Pros: So I just got the headset in today and it works great with my ps3 tried plugging it into my tablet and it doesn't work unless you plug in the USB. Mic is great and so are the speakers. Played a few hours with it and doesn't feel uncomfortable great headset for $40 with $20 mail in rebate.

Cons: Nothing yet other than you hearing your voice which isn't that bad let's you know how much background noise there is
