4 out of 5 eggsGood and so-so, but works well with Linux

Pros: Keeping in mind I bought these for gaming:

The sound is quite good, I'm very happy with the audio.

The rumble effect is a fun gimmick that I expected I'd disable, but actually enjoy it (explosions are most intense!).

The microphone is quite good, at least that's what others tell me (I've never been on the other end). It is quite sensitive and easily picks up even very quiet speech when positioned under my mouth (to keep it from picking up breathing, etc.).

The cord length is very nice.

The game audio is through your sound card via an 1/8" phono jack (the normal stereo headphone jack all soundcards use).
The audio for chat (both out and in via the mic) is via a built-in USB soundcard that works perfectly well in Linux. See "Other thoughts" for more details.

The game audio (from the computer's soundcard) has a separate volume control (in the inline control box) from the chat audio volume control. This is extremely nice to have as it allows me to very easily tweak the audio if I need to in order to hear others in chat or hear announcements in the game, etc. The other two controls are a mute slide switch for the microphone and an intensity control for the rumble effect. See Cons!

The removable microphone is very nice as it makes it easy to store without worrying about stressing about breaking it off. See Cons!

The ear cushions are quite comfortable and breath very well because they're fabric instead of vinyl, but see Cons below!

Cons: By far the single most annoying thing about this headset is the cushion at the top. It is far, *far* too narrow and after less than a minute, feels like I have an iron pipe laying across the top of my head. I frequently have to adjust it to keep it from making my scalp feel bruised. I do have the headset adjusted fully out (it can't go any larger). I may eventually tear this completely off and add my own, homemade cushion.

The ear cushions, while comfortable due to being airy foam wrapped in a loose-weave fabric, allow just as much sound out into the room as if you are not even wearing them. Others in the room can hear every utterance from those in chat extremely clearly, even at fairly low audio levels. This doesn't annoy me, but certainly annoys my wife and can allow my youngster to hear language I'd rather he doesn't.

The control box has issues.
First: The belt clip is utterly useless. It is very weak from a springiness perspective (so it doesn't even hold onto jeans pockets) and it is so thin it feels like it'll break if I actually try to slide it over a belt. The lower section of the cord is heavy enough that it constantly pulls the control unit off whatever I attempt to hang it on.
Second: The rolling controls (game volume, chat volume, and rumble intensity) roll with absolutely zero resistance. This means if it brushes against *anything*, the volume gets instantly adjusted, usually dramatically. Having your volume go to full or zero volume instantly just from shifting positions slightly is extremely annoying. I'm considering putting tape over the controls, though this would then make adjustments extremely distracting and annoying (instead).

The removable microphone does have one issue: It only goes in one way, then rotates to lock in place... the problem is it is ridiculously easy to turn it past the "stop" and I'm worried about accidentally breaking it. This should be a tighter fit with a more obvious stop, or the stop should simply be eliminated.

Other Thoughts: (Using Ubuntu 14.04) I simply plugged in the USB cord and the audio plug and was immediately able to select the new sound device in TeamSpeak 3's settings (it shows up as "Cruiser P3210 Analog" devices). I had to adjust the "Voice Activation Detection" in TS3 so it wouldn't continuously broadcast, since the microphone is so sensitive.
I didn't have to do any research or tweaking at all to Linux's kernel modules.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken already

Pros: Picks up sounds well and has really good sound quality. The cord is AMAZINGLY long and easy to move around with.

Cons: Not so durable. The headset ALREADY broke and it has been less than 2 months. I only use it to chat during games and take good care of it. But the mic part is already failing to work. It started out great, but when the mic part fails, which I was using it for, generates a negative review from me.

Other Thoughts: If you only listen with it, it is a great headset, but the mic is very poor quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Set

Pros: -Price
-Flat Cord
-Detachable mic
-Comfortable headphones
-RCA splitter
-Good Bass
-Volume Controls for chat and game
-Mute switch

Cons: Might be difficult plugging in USB and 3.5mm depending on device.

Other Thoughts: As soon as I put these on the sound quality is way better than all my other low end headphones/head sets. I frequently have comfort issues with headphones but these seem like my ears will have no trouble with them.

My last 2 headsets had issues with the cord getting tangled up. It seemed like when I took them off I forgot I had done 2 900's in my chair while gaming. Must have been too immersed in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. This set has a flat cable which i didn't even realize when I purchased so I'm loving everything about this set.

These things are absolutely amazing for $15AR.

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic!

Pros: Wow! These headphones are great! They sound great and the usb sound card works fabulously with windows 8.1. Contrary to other reviews, I don't think it seems cheap or flimsy at all! Maybe my standards and expectations were low for the price but I really like these headphones - a lot!! Not to mention new egg shipping which was ridiculously fast. Overall - super satisfied customer!

Cons: I really can't think of a single con!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh.

Pros: * Plastic Shell is quite durable.

Cons: * Insulation is ripped off on both ends of the cord length that runs from the control box to the headset; underneath wires are starting to show wear now that they are unprotected.
* The control box for muting/adjusting sound is cumbersome to use and somewhat easy to accidentally adjust.
* The area around where your ears go is a bit small. It took a while to adjust to that.
* Average Sound Quality. I came off of having surround-sound headset and it was a bit jarring.
* The detachable microphone can pick up a bit of static from its connection.

Other Thoughts: I can think of a lot of headsets that are worse than this, but I can also think of much better headsets that cost less. The cord length is both a blessing and a sin, it can be really good or really bad. I would suggest getting a wireless headset if you really need that much space, though.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressive For the Price

Pros: I got these for 14.99 after mail in rebate with free shipping. At first i was like cool cheap headset with a mic. Ive never had a mic and always wanted one just never got around to it for one reason or another. I figured as long as they worked and sounded ok I would be more than happy. Boy did I get more than I expected. The extra bass/rumble feature is astounding. They actually slide around a little on your ears there is so much bass. The highs leave a little to be desired but I honestly almost didnt bother mentioning that because they are so good in every other way. I also like that the mic is removable. The cloth ear pads are nice, they could breathe a little better but I can wear them pretty comfortably for 5 hours with a few two minute breaks in there. They are light and cheap feeling but light also means comfortable.

Cons: As a lot of people say they feel a little flimsey but the only part that is really a weak point that I can find is where they are adjustable to make them fit your head right. However if that part ever breaks on mine I know I can easily find a way to mend them with a couple screws to the point where they will never break again. You could even just tape them up if your not very mechanical with your hands. Its not like your constantly need to readjust the size of them (unless you have that shrinking head syndrome ive been hearing of) so if you lock them in place with a permanent fix your golden. The part that rattles when you shake them is the sort of hinge part where the speaker assembly mounts into the head band. I wouldnt be worried about that at all its a cheap way of doing it but it works and is solid.

Other Thoughts: The only thing I can say here is read the directions they come with. You have to have your audio coming in through the RCA cables to get the rumble affect and you have to have USB power connected aswell for them to work at all. At first I just hooked them up to my PC and was like "wheres all this rumble bass affect??" then decided to try to PS3 and read the directions on how to set them up with that and they became a whole new headset. When you play sound through the USB it plays through the mic input line which doesnt use the rumble feature. Again, make sure you hook them up correctly, read the directions they are very short and simple.

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: sounds great
i got them on sale plus rebate for $15...what a deal!
the rumble effect was more then i was expecting from these.
its like when you hear a car drive down the road and you can hear the bumper rattling like crazy but its in your head

Cons: I wear glasses and after a while it starts to hurt my head because its pressing my glasses into my head. (its not as bad as others ive use but will give me a headache after long use)
also my hair is on the long side (like past my shoulders) and my hair is constantly getting caught in it and pulls my hair out! i really like my hair and don't want it pulled out!!!!!
other than these two issues i love this headset.

Other Thoughts: i wouldn't pay the original price for them...but that's because im cheep. but over all happy with them. sounds amazing!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood PC headset

Pros: Good price (on sale).
Rumble effect definitely adds to the experience (in certain games).
Easily connects to PC.

Cons: Not the sturdiest headset in the world.
Having to fill out the rebate paperwork and cut the UPC off of the packaging to get the great price (sale +rebate).

Other Thoughts: I can't really add to what has already been said by other reviewers.
I just use it on the PC; it works fine ad requires very little configuration.
Unless you're a rabid, foaming uber-gamer or actually make a living playing multi-player games, these should be fine for you.
Especially if you catch them on sale.
