4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset (Tested on PC only)

Pros: Doesn't get much better for the price
Bass/Rumble effect is a really good feature, and is fully adjustable.
Mic loop-back isn't too noticeable unless your mic is basically in your mouth, or you're breathing onto it.
Amazing audio and mic quality.
Detachable mic.
Very comfortable on the ears.

Cons: Feels cheap to the touch, but as long as you don't drop them from your roof, they'll be fine.
Mic loop-back can't be turned off, so don't try.
Chat volume has no function on PC, not sure about PS3.
Buzzing sound which only occurs when my GPU is being strained, probably a problem with the PSU though.
In terms of comfort, I've had better. It's fine on the ears but not so much on the head. May take some "breaking in" or getting used to.

Other Thoughts: You have to make sure you attach the mic properly; it has a flat edge and I nearly cracked the headphones open thinking I could twist it 360 without looking.
It would be a lot better if they included a utility to assign the chat/game volume to certain channels.

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the price

Pros: Comfortable, great sound quality, extra bass 'rumble' effect adds a nice sense of immersion. Great price for what you get.
I got these for Skyrim on the PC and nearly jumped out of my chair when I first heard a loud explosion. Often times I hear sounds in the background of the game and think its sounds from real life.
The cord is very long [if you need it]
I got these for $14.99 when on sale with the rebate. I would easily pay up to $49.99 for these, mainly because of the sound quality.

Cons: They feel flimsy, but most likely won't break unless abused. Are they probably more likely to break than other brands if dropped? Yes... But will last a long time if treated properly.
I wish the mic loopback had a toggle function. At times I don't want to hear the sound of my whiney voice :)
The cord is very long [if you don't need it] Seriously who needs 12.5 feet of cord? I'm guessing this is to please the PS4 people. They should make the extra cord detachable so you can 'add' the extra length instead of always having it on.
I did experience the background hum that others have talked about on my PC, but not my laptop. They should include circuitry in the device to cancel that out. Most likely it is caused by the requirement of 2 plugs having 2 separate grounds. [USB and 3.5mm]

Other Thoughts: Must be USB powered to function. I knew this going in, and am completely fine with it, but Syba should revise these to allow the standard headphones to work without requiring USB power, and when powered by USB you get the 'rumble' of the secondary bass drivers.
I can only really use these at my computer and can't take with me in the car when I want to listen to my iPod. I COULD bring extra +5V power, but that's a little overkill to lug all that stuff around.

Easily a 5/5 product if:
-Make the long cord modular
-Get rid of intermittent background hum
-Lose the USB power requirement
-Make the mic feedback have an on/off toggle

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Sounds just fine

-Comfortable (though I doubt it would fit someone with a head much larger than average).

-Good mic quality

-Long cord

Cons: -Rumble effect does not seem to be functioning

-The inline controller is somewhat awkward in size and placement

-Volume sliders don't seem to do what they indicate (Chat controls overall volume, game just buzzes when turned up, bass does nothing)

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the $35 dollars I paid for them, though it is unfortunate that the "rumble effect" seems to be missing. It could be an issue with my audio card, but it plays bass just fine normally.

4 out of 5 eggsOn sale this is a MUST buy

Pros: MICROPHONE!! The quality is absolutely insane. The mic is crystal clear. After streaming online, several friends commented on how clear the voice quality was. VERY impressed.

Weight - It's light and I don't have problems wearing it for a long time,

Padding - It's very comfortable on my ears, and unlike my old headsets, it doesn't heat my ears / head up at all and doesn't cause any ear sweat!

Audio - It gets pretty loud. Having a Game volume, AND chat volume is pretty cool and has already came in handy.

Cons: Headset feel - Holding it it FEELS cheap, a bit light, all plastic. But, feel is just feel. It definitely performs..

Cord - The audio levels are on long cord, connected by a box with the dials on the box. I don't like that, i wish the dials were on the headset itself. Also, the length of the cord - to box - to jack, is very awkward. It's not long enough to sit on the floor or desk next to me, and will just hang, making a very awkward weight on the side of my head. It has a clip to clip to your shirt or something..but that is strange to me and don't plan on doing that.

Bass Boost - It's OK. My previous headset's bass boost was much nicer, but it does give it a nice addition.

Other Thoughts: Other - Make sure you configure the microphone in your settings on your computer correctly. I thought my bass boost dial was broken at first, because I needed to change some settings on my computer.

-I bought this mic on super sale. If it's on sale, it is definitely worth, however, I would not pay the full $90

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: I wear a hearing aid so ear buds and anything less than the fully enclosed ear cup is useless to me. This headset allows me to enjoy music and communicate via computer based conferencing systems like webex, g-hangout and skype. I love it. I would be lost without it. Microphone is excellent as well.

Cons: Prolonged use does tend to make an impression on your head, but I'm talking hours not minutes. The cord is very long and sometimes gets in my way.

4 out of 5 eggsFairly good headset for gaming, movies, and music

Pros: I got this during a sale with a great discount which is awesome for that price - I would not recommend this headset at full price.

The rumble effect makes for a nice and unique experience for gaming and movies. It might go overboard on some songs but at least the bass can be turned down on the headset controls or with some tweaking of the equalizer on the sound card software.

Though implied for Windows & PlayStation use, it also works perfectly on OS X [tested on Mavericks] including microphone support.

Cons: When the audio plug and USB plug are connected to the same device, I can hear crackle and hissing from computer activity such as scrolling pages, or hard disk activity. The intensity varies from device to device. My desktop is worse and doesn't matter if it's the front ports, back ports, USB hub, front audio, or rear audio jacks. My laptop is mostly silent aside from ocasional chirps and buzzes. I found that with the audio connected to my desktop and USB powered to anything not my desktop (laptop, for example), it's fine. If I power it through my desktop USB ports and connect it a different audio device like an iPod or laptop, it's fine too.

... so my solution for my desktop (aside from buying a new case or sound card with its own front panel connectors) is to connect the USB to a wall charger. I lose microphone support but since I don't use it, it's not a dealbreaker.

Due to the plastic earpad and headband parts hitting each other, it makes clacking sounds if you move a bit. Sticking a thin piece of rubber where they would touch silences it.

There's in no discomfort wearing the headset with glasses but the earpads rubbing on the glasses frames will make rubbing noises when you move your head.

Other Thoughts: You can connect it to any headphone port (smartphones, tablets, 3DS, etc.) as long as the headset is powered through through USB. Any USB charger will do. I hooked up the audio jack to the iPhone 5 and used the 5W charger to power the headset. A USB extension cord is needed to make it practical as the audio and USB plugs share the same wire and can only be separated 1 foot apart.

Just for kicks I attached it to the USB camera connection kit attached to the iPad 2. The iPad does recognize the headset but the audio does not work.

4 out of 5 eggsa ok headphone for the price

Pros: mic quite sensitive

Cons: not very comfortable

Other Thoughts: A nice mic for the price, it very comfortable but it's totally useable for few hours, can't complain due to the price and I was comparing it with steelseries type

4 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely fantastic

Pros: - The sound is great.
-The mic is one of the best-sounding mics I've ever dealt with.
-Even the rumble effect, which I was tentative about, is a nice touch. Think of it as a subtle bass effect. It's pretty good.
-Cord is nice, long, and durable.
-The volume control is easy to use and very worthwhile.
-Very comfortable headset. Haven't worn it for too long straight, yet (just a few hours), but pretty good so far.
- Pretty much plug-in-and-play (once I got it working).

Cons: When I first tried making this headset work, the mic refused to pick up any sound. At all. The audio worked great but no fiddling with sound settings, headphone controls, or restarting the computer did any good. My comp registered the mic but would pick up no sound. Couldn't get it working on my roommate's laptop either, but could get HIS headset working fine on my computer.

I went off to do something else for several hours and then tried again, and it worked perfectly the second I plugged it in. Strangest thing. I have no idea what went wrong the first time-- I plugged it in multiple times securely before.

Anyways, everything is working great now-- see pros.

One other con:

-The chat volume control on the volume control does absolutely nothing. Mic turns on and off fine, bass control works, and Game volume just controls the general volume. Chat volume is not altered as far as I can tell. Not a huge thing for me, but notable.

-Lastly, if your mic is on, you will hear the mic in the headset, very well and very clear. The mic is fantastic and I personally like this, but some people do not like this.

Other Thoughts: Overall a very nice, great-looking and performing headset. Would recommend even at the current $65, even though I managed to get it on a much deeper sale.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for pc

Pros: Great Bass and great for pc games. I like these better than my Roccat Kaves, Sony Pulse Elites, Razer Carcharias & they sound better. I have played alot of bf4, Sleeping Dogs & some other games & I hear things I never heard. I use the desktop mic that came with my Sound Blaster Z so no feedback in the headset. Very light and comfortable to. Took some tinkering with my soundcard eq settings to get them right. Music sounds really good to.

Cons: slight hissing due to the usb on the pc, not a problem when playing audio.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are glad your experience with our headset was a positive one.

Please note that hissing in the audio could be due to the electrical outlet grounding which your PC is plugged into.

This at times, may cause a hissing noise to be played through the audio.

Please keep us updated on the status of your headphones.

Thank you for purchasing one of our products, and for leaving us your valuable feedback.

Please feel free to contact us @ if you require further assistance.
