Nice
- Pros: Very good gaming mouse
- Cons: A little harder then i like to click but its a thing you will get use to.
- Other Thoughts: WELL WORTH THE MONEY
click buttons too stiff
- Pros: Light weight. Good mouse motion. Fine, thick body structure which is idle for a manly hand like myself.
- Cons: Left/Right click buttons are WAY TOO stiff. It requires a healthy, powerful young set of fingers to click repeatedly for 12 hours on this mouse, since Microsoft and Logitech mice are far more sensitive, and suited for gaming, than this.
Also, I didn't notice any improve on the laser, compare to optical!
- Other Thoughts: I've being playing computer games since the days of DOOM and BLOOD 1...which means I've being using Microsoft mice, with excessively sensitive click buttons, over the years. Therefore this new age stiffness doesn't bare well with me. For this mouse was perfect in every other sense (although I wish it came with CD software. What's up with that? Why no disc?) Anyway, I played Fallout 3 for five minutes...and had to stop because my index finger (fire finger) was getting fatigued and agitated. No, this mouse will not due. That, and that alone, renders it a poor rating. Gigabyte makes great motherboards, but gaming mice...there is that one thing to be desired -- gaming experience. Next time, Gigabyte, sit down and play around with Microsoft and Logitech mice, and ask yourself -- why are the buttons so easy and sensitive to press? Then play a few games for some 8 hours straight. You'll have your answer then and there.
Great Value
- Pros: Great Value, Laser (tracks great on my desk), On-the-fly DPI switching (2 settings), no bloatware, back/forward buttons
Subjective: "good feel," the wheel is very nice! Good looks also!
- Cons: Light Weight, feels less precise than my G5 was, but maybe I need to get used to it. Only 2 settings on the DPI switching and no customization besides mouse menu in control panel.
- Other Thoughts: My last mouse, G5, just broke so I went with this one. For the price its amazing. Compared to the G5, I must say it doesn't quite compete. The G5 is an amazing mouse, with custom weights and DPI adjustment settings. This mouse is a bargain mouse that comes VERY VERY close to delivering that type of performance at a fraction of the cost, which really says something for me. If you are like me and just couldn't justify the price of the more expensive mice, just go with this one. After getting used to it and adjusting the sensitivity in the control panel you will have a great mouse.
I went with this mouse because it was shaped a lot like the G5, which I definitely like, because thats a very comfortable shape for me. The button clicks aren't as smooth, but the wheel on this mouse is way nicer.
I still gave it 5 stars because after using the G5 for 3+ years I am a little biased and very sad to see it sitting in my trashcan, but it did fail me and they don't make it anymore.
