Other Thoughts: The Gigabyte Ghost M8000X is a great mouse for everything, especially gaming. The build quality of the actual mouse is top notch. The cable is braided, and looks amazing as well. However since I've bought it the USB cable broke twice. Both times just over a year later. The first time the cable broke, the edge where the wire connects to the male USB-A connection was literally frayed. It wasn't just cosmetic, the cable had to be in a certain angle for the mouse to work, and eventually it stopped working all together. At this point I was actually using this mouse as a permanent peripheral to my desktop which means it wasn't even moving that much. Luckily there is a two year warranty, which means close to two months after starting the whole RMA process I had a brand new mouse. Now, just a little bit over a year from getting the new mouse the same thing is happening again. While there is no visible fraying on the cable when I plug it into my laptop I have to set it to a certain angle. When I move my laptop or the mouse it will often disconnect (and then reconnect and disconnect several times in succession driving me crazy with the Windows USB connection noises). So in short: this is a great mouse, if the connection didn't break so easily. I still have an OEM HP mouse from the early 2000's which has seen more use and still works fine. It is sad that I need to replace this $60 mouse after just over two years.

Pros: Fast Mouse, changeable speed, rubber grip, can turn off or change mouse colors. No need to load Ghost as profile setting is stored on the mouse.

Cons: Not really a con but still haven't figured out how to do the macro, or bind keys to the 2 side buttons near the thumb.

Other Thoughts: I got this mouse to help with some fps games. I'm able to play better because the mouse moves faster. I chose this b/c I can turn off the led colors (most gaming mice you can't), it's corded, its rubber grip, and the dpi is changeable on the fly. This is my 1st gaming mouse and I'm very happy with it.

Pros: Feels great and tracks great! You can change the logo LED color or choose black to turn it off. It's my 2nd favorite mouse out of 20+ years of using many!

I have medium to smaller hands and this mouse is just a tad bit too big but that's fine. I like a light mouse so the weights are not used but I am glad they are included because some mice are just to light but this weight is perfect.

Cons: Minor issues. Card too stiff, thumb buttons to far forward for me and too sensitive. Tilt click is too stiff. Thumb pad rubber too soft and gave me a blister after a few hours of gaming with it.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this mouse as a backup mouse. My Gygabyte m6980x seems to be shorting out and being flakey at times but I really like it. I tried buying that same mouse again 3 times but each of those 3 were defective in some major way. Some serious quality or design issues it seems with Gygabyte lately. So I was worried about getting another Gygabyte mouse but I thought I'd try another model and lucky me this one seems ok. I still prefer my m6980X as it feels fantastic but this mouse some in 2nd place out of all the mice I've owned.

It's a very nice mouse. Tracks well but more importantly it feels nice. Only had it a day so far but oddly the rubber where the thumb rest put a blister on my thumb. Maybe it's too soft of a rubber? I don't have giant hands and the thumb buttons are a bit hard for me to reach the forward thumb button. The thumb buttons are also very sensitive. I keep accidentally clicking the back thumb button when I place my hand back on the mouse. I love the tilt wheel but a bit hard to get the tilt wheel to click as the top of the wheel is a bit rounded but it is rubber so that helps. Oh one more kinda minor thing is the braised cord does not like to bend and is too stiff.

Pros: DPI is great; I always have it max on any mouse
I enjoy the color options
Hand feel is great
Scroll wheel functionality is great

Cons: Left mouse button sticks... I have to push the button so hard that it moves the mouse and makes me target something else.. just about the most annoying thing ever.

Left mouse button is also really loud when clicking..

Contrast this to my Logitech G9 that is still going strong after 8 years.. I've been using it for work so.. might have to switch back now :(

Pros: This mouse is amazing, it has great grip and a super comfortable shape and feel. The DPI button up top is really useful, and the buttons on the side are easy to use.

Cons: DPI light doesn't match logo. That's about it, no other complaints.

Other Thoughts: I may just buy another one when this one dies.

Pros: Well it is a decent mouse. The dpi button in the middle works well and you can go up or down without having to cycle through every setting, and the scroll wheel feels sturdy enough. Also looks pretty good. Braided cord is also a plus.

Cons: One of the side mouse buttons started getting stuck about 10 minutes after I started using it. Would be surprising from a $10 mouse but kind of disappointing in this one

Also it would be nice if changing the color also changed the color of the dpi indicator lights on the side, but thats a minor thing.

Pros: Great feel and sensitivity. Nice that DPI can be adjusted both ways with a switch instead of cycling with a button, great for gaming. Software does not stay open constantly (at least it seems like it does not), instead saves settings to mouse itself, allowing for DPI, color, and macro settings be used on a different computer.

Cons: Back-lit logo pulsing, no way to make it stay on constantly or change pulsing pattern. HOWEVER using Ghost software it is easy to set one of the colors to black, doing so will turn off the back light.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a good mouse for the price. Only time will tell if it stays this good.

Pros: -Braided cord allows for easy movement, less drags/snags.

-Durable hardware. I've dropped this a few times and it hasn't skipped a beat.

-DPI button is easily accessible, as well as extra buttons on side. Well thought out design. I spend most of my time on DPI #2, rarely use #4.

-Rubber textured grips make all the difference. LOVE IT!

Cons: Ghost software takes some getting used to.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended mouse, overall. This is my second one. DPI light colors don't match Ghost logo, but I don't spend much time staring at the mouse, so...

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't track consistently on any surface.

Other Thoughts: The scroll wheel was failing on my old mouse, so I got this one, it doesn't read at all on my Razer mouse pad, read for a few minutes on a sheet of paper, then stopped. Read for a little while on a vinyl bag, then stopped. Essentially a worthless mouse, never had such poor performance even off the cheapest of mice. A ball mouse would work better.

Pros: Love the look and feel. The weights make it heavy handed but smooth fluid movement. I bough this mouse because of the low price and weighted system. I am not disappointed. Everything works. DPI settings rock. Can't beat laser. Fits well in the hand. Very comfortable. The buttons, all of them. seem to be very sensitive to touch. You don't need heavy fingers to work the buttons. Light to the touch, so to sum it's an adjustment. Like me coming from a Logitech G9X, I feel the buttons are more sensitive than the G9X. Not a con really. just a heads up

Cons: The only Cons for me is the two side thumb buttons are way too sensitive. All you have to do is brush over them with the lightest touch and they activate. Needs more pressure to the buttons to ensure not accidentally clicking them.

A lot of ppl are complaining about the software being buggy. I have not installed the software so I could not confirm this. Also, there is no way to turn of Ghost LED on top of the mouse. It will flash colors for the life of the mouse. Stupid idea IMO. There is a button to change the colors, just add an off setting to the button. how hard can it be?

Other Thoughts: Again I have not installed the software. I don't need to have macro and micro settings. I'm on Windows 7 x64. And I love this mouse so far.
