3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ever since offline mode was allowed with the associated software, you can precisely dial your settings differently for every game or application you own.

Cons: My scroll wheel gave out on me 6 months into owning it. It will still work if I apply some precise pressure and scroll slowly, but if I scroll OUT to hard it'll instead scroll IN, if anything happens at all.

Other Thoughts: I love the size / feel / control it gives me, and having a separate mouse profile for my touchy first person shooters is a breeze, but that scroll wheel problem is a HUGE turn off. $10 mice have functioning scroll wheels, it was something I never expected to have and issue with considering the price of this product.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the scroll wheel of your mouse. Please note that you have a manufacturer's warranty on the mouse, so please don't hesitate to contact us at http://razersupport.com/contact-us or by calling 1-888-697-2037. We'll be happy to assist you with a replacement.

Thank you for understanding.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse overall

Pros: Reliable mouse that lasted 2 years.

Cons: Can feel rather slippery at times. All kinds of gunk build up in between the side buttons and the casing.

Price is a little high for comparable mice

Other Thoughts: After 2 years of rigorous use (several hour gaming sessions, several times a week), a single left click began to register twice

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: *Nice backlighting
*Great ergonomics (I have relatively large hands)
*Perfect high sensitivity

Cons: *Cord is a bit short and hard to get around
*Gets dirty fairly quickly, requiring a lot of care

Other Thoughts: I hear of these mice breaking often, but it seems to be a case of poor ownership rather than product. I maintain mine and keep it stress free. It's a great mouse, and my first high-sensitivity one (taking me a bit to get used to, heh). I'm definitely impressed, and will try to stick with Razer for a while.

4 out of 5 eggsgamer mouse

Pros: I was afraid to migrate to a new mouse after using my old muse for 5 years but I don't regret choosing this.
It feels good on the hand, it is simple and have two very handy buttons on the left side. The led light is also nice.

Cons: Razer Synapse have to be running in the try for the mouse configuration to work. You need internet to install Razer Synapse.
Why not a minimum amount of on board memory for basic configuration to stay across all operating systems.
If you don't mind this it is a 5 egg mouse.

Other Thoughts: If they don't fix the problems for my next mouse I may go other route.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: 1ms polling rate, sensor is high quality, mouse is a good size for pretty much everyone, the cord doesn't bunch up. Adjustable DPI. Two extra buttons in a convenient and easy place.

Cons: Needs latest firmware update to get rid of all the glitches it had at launch. Sensor reacts weird on certain surfaces depending on model.

The mouse also has a strange problem with LOD that will make the cursor jerk in a random direction when lifting off of the mouse pad that needs to be fixed with scotch tape. Yeah, I am not joking.

Razer Synapse doesn't have a fixed gauge for DPI so if you change it accidentally, it's almost impossible to get it back to where it was. I could be missing something though.

It doesn't come with drivers, but you can find them on the internet easy enough.

Other Thoughts: I've had this mouse for a bit now and haven't had many problems with it. I play osu with it which requires some insane mouse movement, and I can say that the 1000hz polling rate vs 125 and 500 is noticeable for me. Most say it's a marketing gimmick, but it really does help depending on the situation.

I'd recommend it, but there are better options out there. This is a pretty cheap mouse though.
