5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best

Pros: The mouse works well in all games. I had fun using this mouse in BF3 when I owned it. Its fast, smooth, and responsive. I can't say it made me a better player but I feel it gave me a edge.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Note to all don't drop the mouse else it may never work again. I dropped it off my desk by mistake couple times onto hardwood floors... it never worked again the 2nd drop.

2 out of 5 eggsDefective right click

Pros: - Claw Grip
- Light
- Responsive

Cons: - Right Click malfunctions
- Not successor to Diamondback 3G
- Feet are rough

Other Thoughts: Go ahead and google "Abyssus right click" or "left click". Many people are having my same problem. The right and left click just sometimes give out and it feels stuck. There's no satisfying spring with each click. This is the second Abyssus in 3 months with the exact same issue.

Razer support (Jack R. Razer Tier 1) has basically said "**** off" but at least NewEgg allowed me to RMA 1 of the 2 mice I purchased. I just hope this is bad luck.

This mouse is definitely good given the Ultra-polling and small claw grip it enables for old-school StarCraft: Brood War players. I just wish Diamondback 3Gs were still available for purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsSimplicity

Pros: -Very responsive, and nice to use. Can toggle between a polling rate of 125hz and 1000hz, not really a reason to set to 125hz.

-Grippy surface, even if you have sweaty hands like me it isn't going to slip.

-Very small mouse, good for fingertip grips.

-Simple design. Nothing extra. very basic, and straightforward.

-Impressive price for its quality

Cons: -Lacks advanced features. Due to how simple it is, some advanced features like Synapse configuration are lost. Also lacks side/macro buttons.

Other Thoughts: A solid mouse with simple design.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 3500 dpi

Cons: bottom half of the mouse has a glossy finish and it will get really dirty really fast

Other Thoughts: when i first got this mouse everything was fine then after about 4 months it would hurt my hand so much just to use this thing but i couldnt afford a new one at the time so i kept using it. the pain lasted about 4 months then i guess i got used to it because it stopped hurting. might have been to small for my hand because this is the first time with any mouse this has happened

2 out of 5 eggsWould be OK, if it didn't completely brick my PC.

Pros: Simple, no frills.
Small and light - Good for my fingertip grip.
Good sensor

Cons: Drivers caused my PC to BSOD!
Stiff buttons
Overpriced for the features.
Software is under featured and buggy.
Cheap build

Other Thoughts: I switched the mouse from 125 to 1000hz polling rate with the switch on the underside of the mouse. It caused a BSOD, and my windows DID NOT BOOT BACK UP. I removed the mouse, still failed. Safe mode didn't work. When I tried to back up from the restore point that windows created when I installed the drivers, it said I was missing some .dlls in system32, and could not restore. In the end, I had to restore from a BACKUP that was a year old in the end.

They claim "hyper responsive clicks". Bull, the buttons are as stiff as anything, and are very unenjoyable to use.

I am not the first person to get a BSOD from this mouse and its drivers, so please, avoid this mouse. There are much better mice around the same pricepoint.

Build quality is unimpressive, it feels cheaper than it is.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Mouse named Fred

Pros: That shape: I love the shape and the way this feels in my hand. I've had an Imperator before this which was too big but this fits perfectly.

Accurate: So far it's been pretty darn accurate on the pointer which is fantastic, I get the speed I want out of it and the accuracy is spot on.

Cheap: For the price you can't get a much better mouse.

Cons: The chord: It's not a braided chord like Razer's other mice so it's kinda sticky to certain surfaces and catches on things and overall just seems kinda skimped on.

Other Thoughts: This mouse I think is a solid mouse for the price. I haven't seen anything else that's as simple as this (Two buttons and a scroll wheel that's it.) and as well built. I would have been happier to pay more money for a little bit better chord but hey I guess I just get one of those chord jockeys so I don't have to worry about it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome mouse

Pros: Very nice simple mouse. Got it a while ago when it was on clearance and I didn't want any other buttons so this was perfect. I still have it I just recently ugraded to the Taipan. This mouse is still awesome. Very easy to switch the DPI on the bottom of the mouse. Cord is decently long too. Very light and comfortable any way you hold it.

Cons: I noticed after about a month the left mouse button was significantly lower than the right. Not that it affected the performance I just thought it was odd. The matte style plastic that Razer uses is very easy to get stained from the oils of your hands. It doesn't stay if you wipe it off so its not that big of a con. Doesn't have a braided cord which would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Great mouse. If you're looking for a simple good quality mouse this would be it.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent 3 button gaming mouse

Pros: Very light (almost too light-borderline con), Razer Synapse 2.0 allows on the fly adjustments to be made as well as the onboard DPI, and frequency sliders on the buttom for quick adjustments. Goes great with a Razer Goliathus mousepad.
Razer customer support was great(see cons)

Cons: Left mouse button cracked while I was holding down the fire button one night. It eventually chipped off completely, and I thought razer products were made to be more durable than that, so I RMA'd it and Razer support was EXCELLENT. They kept emailing me back and forth and after I filled out all the requirements and sent images, they agreed for me to send it in so a replacement could be delivered. But, I ended up cancelling it and upgrading to the Razer DeathAdder 2013 4G Infrared awesomeness. Was more expensive, but SO worth it.

Other Thoughts: Love Razer and their customer support, and the software they provide. Razer Synapse 2.0 is GENIUS. Love the idea of one program fits all. Waiting for my Razer Kraken 7.1 headset to come so I can complete my new setup of Razer DeathStalker, Razer DeathAdder, Razer Goliathus, and Razer Kraken. =]

4 out of 5 eggsRazer Abyssus 1.5 Year Review

Pros: Tactile feedback on mouse click, DPI switches, matte finish, sturdy scroll wheel, basic ergonomics.

Cons: Uneven blue lighting on logo, can tell that the feedback from the click is starting to decline slowly

Other Thoughts: I have had this mouse for over a year, and have put it through many things, such as dorito fingers, smashes, and have yanked the USB out of its port many times. This mouse has stood the test of time, and is starting to tell, greasy fingers do show up on this mouse, the blue light on the logo is a bit uneven, but this mouse is supposed to be a basic Razer mouse, and it completes that job very well. I believe that this mouse is good for any type of grip, and not suited for one particular grip, but for all grips.
