Too often we are forced to choose between what’s comfortable and what looks good. Chances are if you want to avoid flashbang sized headaches, you are going to find your dome lodged in some pretty dumb looking cans because, let’s face it; style doesn’t always roll shotgun when comfort is at the wheel.

The Razer Orca is made to represent both. It keeps your style on lock while still giving you that 2pm Sunday morning pants optional type of comfort. Whether you are taunting your gaming opponent across the virtual battle fields or just tuning out on the subway with your music, the Razer Orca provides extended comfort while keeping your sound pristine and precise.

  • newegg Cush Fit The light-weight over-ear design provides a laidback comfortable fit for hours on end.
  • newegg Thumping Clarity Crank it up and hear the bassline drop in crystal clear clarity.
  • newegg Plug and Switch Keep the extension cable connected to your gaming rig for ease of access when you switch over from your MP3 player.

3 out of 5 eggs5 Years and Going

Pros: -Comes with an extra braided extension cord.
-light weight and comfortable (hugs lightly and doesn't feel tight)
-good 5.1 sound quality

Cons: -the ends of the braided chord are fragile.

Other Thoughts: About two years in the sound from one of the sides began to fade away because after repetitive use and repetitive bending on the ends of the chords, the wire could break and you can lose sound. This is what happened to me.

This was when I had to use the extra braided extension cord and replace it with the broken one. I had to open the headset and cut out the old cord and then cut open the extra extension cord and replace it with the old one.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Sound great
Awesome color
Super comfortable

Cons: Broke after moderate use.

Other Thoughts: I owned a pair of these for almost a year. After moderate use for about 9 months, the cabling became damaged. One headphone stopped working due to the damaged cabling. I liked the design so much I bought a second pair. After approximately the same amount of time, the second pair broke with the same problem. I really liked the comfort and frequency response these headphones offered, but its not worth a 1 year lifespan.

3 out of 5 eggsRazer, Y oh Y

Pros: Sounded great while they lasted

Cons: The jack actually busted while in my phone, the phone survived but the jack is toast, asked for RMA but got no answer... Best buy got a hoot out of the fact that my first set which was stolen from my porch and the replacement set which took a while to deliver put my failure a few days outside of warranty due to a technicality.

Other Thoughts: My headphones were technically 4 days outside of warranty, so buyer beware, you get left out in the cold quick. rocking a pair of logitechs now with my Orcas on the wall as a reminder :(

Of which I ordered from new egg

3 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Adjustable, decent sound quality

Cons: Ridiculously short lifespan. Two different pairs completely stop working on one side after within a 4 month period.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great sound all around and a good pair of headphones.

Cons: Bought it because all my friends said it was a good one, between the time i bought it and now all of them have broken due to the cord at the base of the headphones being kinked always which isnt avoidable and sound just cuts out slowly unless you jimmy rig it with some tape, also short cord.

3 out of 5 eggsRazer Orca

Pros: Decent general sound quality

nice cord length

Cons: Cord connection broke where it enters the left headphone about 2-3 months after purchase. Other cons:
bad bass, it just isn't there...
somewhat overpriced for what you get
NO sound cancellation
no microphone

Other Thoughts: I got this one from a different location, I am returning them shortly and I will replace them with a Razer Kraken, when i get that another review will be issued

2 out of 5 eggsThey don't last long

Pros: They sounded pretty good, feel pretty comfortable and don't block out sound, which I like.

Cons: They break pretty easily, apparently. After 6 months of use on my first pair, the left ear piece started going out because of the cord connection to the headset. I figured it was just normal wear and tear and got another set since it was decently priced. Well, now about a month into my new headset and the exact same thing is happening again. Another broken set because it's cheaply made.

Other Thoughts: I honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone, just go with an actual quality headphone brand that make headphones and don't specialize in mice.

2 out of 5 eggsComfortable, but breaks easily

Pros: The Orca headset is comfortable, lightweight, and decent quality for the price. The colour is a little bright, but it grow on you after a while.

Cons: However, I have replaced it once and it has broken again. I bought my first Orca in June of 2011, and in the following January, one side of it went out. I asked for a return, and received a new one promptly. A few days ago, I noticed the same thing, the sound was out in one of the ears. Unfortunately it's been past the original purchase date, so I'll have to buy a new one.

I'm very gentle with my headsets, and the fact that this one breaks after a few months of use is a little upsetting. I had used it daily when I had my first Orca, but with the second one I hadn't used it as much. It seems like there is a lifespan, and once it reaches X amount of hours, one of the ears dies. I like to have a headset that will last, but that doesn't seem to be the case with these. I usually stand by Razer, but these headsets aren't worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsSmall Ear Cups

Pros: Not really any pros because I can't wear them long enough to enjoy anything about them.

Cons: Says they are circumaural but these things are small. I don't have a large head. They hurt the top of my ears and if I adjust them up higher on my head so they don't pinch my ears they hurt the bottom. I can only wear them for about 20 minutes before my ears start to hurt and I have to let my ears rest for several days before I can wear them again.

Other Thoughts: I would not purchase this item again.
