2 out of 5 eggsGreat for a short period of time

Pros: -The mouse has one of the most comfortable ergonomic feels of any mouse that I've ever owned.
-The custom color for the lighting allowing literally any color you want was a fantastic feature.
-When it was functioning properly, the battery had a respectable long lasting charge and it was nice having the LED indicators to monitor my level of charge at any time.

Cons: For the first four months, everything was great. Even though Razer had let me down with several disappointing keyboards (I reviewed those on youtube if you're interested) I was quite happy with this mouse. I originally had the Razer Deathadder and enjoyed its feel, but I wanted wireless and I didn't like that the blue lights on the mouse contrasted with my red LED keyboard.

Interesting to note, just like the Deathadder, the Mamba's side pads started to slip after a couple months of use, requiring super glue to keep them in place.

Then the problems started. The first problems it was having, was sometimes when I'd take the mouse off the charging dock after it had been fully charged (supposedly), the mouse would just turn off instantly. The only solution was to use it while plugged in, or remove/replace the battery then reboot several times.

Then the wireless would just stop working for no reason sometimes. The docking bay light would go out, and unplugging/plugging it back in didn't work without a system reboot.

After a while, the wireless would stop working and the only way to make it work again was to reinstall the firmware.

THEN (yes it just keeps on getting worse) finally one day the firmware stopped being able to detect the charging bay even though it was plugged in and lit up. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software, trying old versions of firmware, using different USB ports, nothing worked. The mouse was now no longer wireless.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind not being able to use the wireless feature, then go ahead and buy the mouse and just throw away the charging dock. It's still a nice feeling ergonomic mouse and you can set the wheel to glow any color you want.

2 out of 5 eggsNice, but garbage software

Pros: Nice, comfortable mouse with nice lighting, gets the job done.

Cons: GARBAGE wireless, turns off randomly during gaming, SOFTWARE is absolute garbage, changes my dpi every time i turn off the computer even after i save the profile

Other Thoughts: This is not worth the extra $30-$40 bucks for wireless, just get a wired one and be done with it.

4 out of 5 eggsjust ok

Pros: high dpi
nice lighting

Cons: a few faults, all critcal

Other Thoughts: I have used a lot razer mices. they all have couple things in common. can be used left or right hand; same pressure on the button doesn't matter where you click; easy to adapt.

after I got tired of lachesis, i thought I can give this mouse a try. it is not what I hoped it should be.
don't get me wrong, it's still a good mice, but there are so many things that went wrong.
this is a right handed mice, occasionally, i use left hand as well, but this mice makes it impossible.
battery indicator blinks all the time even when I connect through USB, why?
later when I raised the feet under the mice to get a better glide, the mouse just simply stopped working on my thunder mouse pad. I've used the pad for 6 years, it's amazing. no matter what I have tried, I have to give it up and switch to a razer pad.
after so many years, razer changed the design on the left/right button. so if you want the old razer clicking mech. do not buy this mouse.
scroll wheel will make a scratching noise after couple month of use. it is very common. at the end, I had to send it in for a replacement, but same problem happened after one month of use. little tip, you can clean it, but put some silicone paste on it will make the noise disappear.

in general, I like this mouse, but I do not love it. I loved the copperhead, lachesis, and boomslang. but this suppose to be the replacement for them, but it's not. it's still a great mouse, but if you want the best mice you can get? get a lachesis

2 out of 5 eggsGood concept, but lacking & failed on me

Pros: Comfortable design, good dpi, responsive, accurate, wireless, lightweight, and full of other features like color changing. The mouse is only these things when it wants to be now. When the mouse is working, it gets the two stars.

Cons: After about 6 months, the padding/grips on the sides of the mouse and the bottom started peeling off and sliding around. A little crazy glue fixed that problem. But that's the smallest of the issues. After a year to about a year and a half of use, the mouse started disconnecting randomly from the receiver at random times, even when the battery is full. The disconnection takes several restarts of both the mouse and the receiver, which should both be working fine with Windows 7. If you're a gamer, you know how frustrating this is, especially if you're in the middle of something. I've contacted Razer support on these issues, I've updated all the firmware for both the mouse and receiver that is having the problem, and nothing has been fixed. This is clearly a design flaw on Razer's part given other reviews, but they refuse to send me a replacement because the mouse is more than a year old and out of warranty. I spent over $100 on this mouse and expected it to last at least two years, but it's barely getting that mark. I never dropped the mouse, never had any accidents with it, yet it's having these problems. I gotta say, I'm disappointed in Razer on this one.

4 out of 5 eggsRazer Mamba

Pros: Extremely comfortable and responsive mouse and really good for shooters, you can adjust the color of the lights to any color you want + change the dimness of it or outright turn it off for longer battery life. The weight is just right with the battery and it lasts for around 6-8 hours of constant gaming. (There are other wireless mice that last longer but its just right for me) if its about to die you can just plug it in and play while it charges.

The cord for the charging dock+mouse is braided and really strong so nothing to worry about there. The sensitivity button really usefull for the games I play, I like to have it really low at like 400 for DayZ and around 1800 for unreal tournament/quake.

Cons: -Sometimes (And I don't know if its my USB ports or what) the mouse will just freeze in place and you have to turn it off/on or unplug/plug it back in to get it working again. And I dont think its the USB ports cause all my other devices seem to work fine. Also sometimes the mouse will only move left or right or up and down and you also have to unplug it or turn it off/on again to fix it.

This seems to happen pretty rarely though and never while I'm playing games so I can live with it.

Other Thoughts: Overall a really good mouse for FPS/Shooters

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: The mouse is accurate and has a good medium weight to it (not too heavy like many wireless mice).

Cons: It died on me after 3 months of use, but I didn't try to replace it because I was ready to go back to my old mouse anyway. The battery life is pretty poor and I found myself leaving it plugged in all the time to avoid it dying on me in the middle of gaming. The mouse also got sticky all by itself, as if the outer layer was decomposing and turning to goop.

Other Thoughts: This is just a preference issue, but I didn't like that there is nowhere to rest my thumb on the left side of the mouse (as a righty). My thumb got tired of being held up all the time, until I starting resting it on the desk and sliding it around with the mouse, which wasn't super comfortable either.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Gaming Mouse

Pros: The wireless function is fantastic. Smooth elegant design that fits the hand well. On-The-Fly sensitivity buttons make for excellent quick changes to some old games or newer beta games that don't have sensitivity functions that work. Two obligatory thumb buttons are great and don't get in the way. Changeable LED lights are pretty and make it looks great. Wireless lithium battery has exceptional life, and I have seen no lag while gaming with it in wireless mode (even from across the room).

Cons: If your looking for a non-wireless mouse I would suggest the Deathadder. My palm light has stopped working through the year. While this is not a major downside, it takes from its overall beauty (even if its not seen a lot).

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It's a great high performance mouse for gaming, pretty lights, wireless and wired, buttons for changing sensitivity

Cons: Just like the death adder with added sensitivity and wireless functions. If you don't need the wireless I would just get the Deathadder, they are the same design and same great performance.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, but not for me

Pros: Lightweight, fast, full of features.

Cons: The docking station acts as the wireless transmitter, so if you use this with a gaming laptop, you get to either use it in wired mode or carry around the docking station. Too bad it doesn't have something similar to Logitech's nano receiver.

Other Thoughts: It seems all of Razor's gaming mice use a docking station as the RF receiver. I like this mouse, but will need to get a Logitech instead.

4 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Great selection of colors. Very precise. The battery seem to last a good while before it needs recharging.

Cons: Occasionally it will lose connection for a second or two. Often at the worst possible times when I'm playing a game. I've had to switch back to my old mouse because my cats chewed the wire. And I can't find anywhere that sells a replacement.
