1 out of 5 eggsFantastic While It Lasts

Pros: Customization is great with Synapse software. My hands are pretty moderate size and this fits perfectly. I could see this being way too small for big hands.

Cons: Some side buttons stick, not physically, but when pressed lightly it acts as though you pressed it 3-5 times very rapidly. Others take multiple presses to get response.

Scroll wheel developed way too much play.

These issues have rendered the mouse unusable. It's now a pretty paperweight.

All of this occurred shortly after the two year warranty expired. Hence 1 egg.

Other Thoughts: This isn't the first Razer product I've had become unusable shortly after warranty expiration. It seems like planned obsolescence is a priority for Razer.

I've yet to have a Logitech peripheral go out on me and I'll be sticking with them going forward.

1 out of 5 eggsOverpriced for the quality

Pros: Nice Color.

Cons: After 1 month the left button started to fail. Got a replacement and a month later the same thing, left button started failing. Got a second replacement and guess what? The left button started to fail after a month.

Other Thoughts: While there are many good reviews here for this product, I've yet to experience it. The design is not very ergonomic for people with average to large hands and with my issues above make this product a less than stellar item.

I ended up replacing my third one with a cheap $5-$10 mouse until I chose a new gaming mouse. You can't play a game with a mouse that randomly double clicks or doesn't click at all when you hit the button.

2 out of 5 eggsRather disappointing

Pros: Speed, precision, flexibility.

Cons: Not very ergonomic. The extra buttons are placed to far back. I have to position my thumb so far back that after 5 or so minutes my hand becomes cramped. Not good if you're play for any length of time.

The back and forward buttons behind the wheel are also to far back, you have to essentially move your hand off the mouse in order to get them.

If you have tiny, tiny hands this mouse may be good for you. If you hands are average or large, look for something else.

Other Thoughts: The Synapse software is rather annoying. While the purpose is to allow users to store configurations on their servers, by default it is set to keep that connection open which is rather intrusive. Secondly, it’s a MOUSE, not a game pad or keyboard, if it can’t store my configuration locally then it isn’t worth the price.

Many people swear by these products, I’m sure they are nice. My experience so far is that it is over-priced for a less than stellar product. Maybe my disappointment is in this particular model?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I like the button layout compared to the normal naga which feels like a sea of buttons with nothing to help you figure out which one you want to press. This one has a nice arrangement so that you can rest your thumb in the center and always know where you are going.

Despite that I had problems when adjusting to the new setup and I asked Razer if they had a solution. They sent me a set of these sticker pads used to help distinguish buttons on the original Naga. They helped a bit, but they add extra bulk to the buttons and can rub off easily. Still I appreciate the thought.

Cons: However the thumb rest isn't really too comfortable, at least for me. You can either put your thumb there or stick a pad and put your thumb there. For me without the pad I accidentally mash buttons when moving the mouse. With the pad my thumb feels too far away and it makes it harder to push said buttons now, but it solves the accidentally pushing problem I had.

Other Thoughts: This is a pretty good mouse, I really like it. I don't use it anymore though because it feels far too bulky in my small-ish hands.

I feel like the problem of recognizing buttons can easily be solved by embossing easily recognizable shapes or symbols into certain buttons so your fingers can quickly find the area or button you're looking for until muscle memory starts to kick in.

5 out of 5 eggsHex = (rhymes with Hex)

Pros: physically and digitally configurable
sleek yet comfortable

Cons: doesn't come in black

Other Thoughts: I'm much happier with this hexagonal layout over the 12-button grid Razer also offers.

If I don't come back to update this review, it means I'm still happy with it!

4 out of 5 eggsVery good!

Pros: Great mouse, the ergonomics are spot on for my hand as I have quite small hands. Side Buttons are well placed. I can put my active item in LoL which is now easier to access. Synapse software has a lot of customizations and you can really set it exactly how you like it. It can be either extremely sensible/responsive or slower for let's say using the mouse to do fine details in Photoshop.

Cons: The thumb rest is getting my thumb really sweaty. Wish it would be made from something else than this rubbery material.

Other Thoughts: It looks very nice. The finish is well made and the mouse looks kinda well build overall. If you have sweaty hands, you might wanna consider that the finish is very glossy on top. The sides have a mate finish which is much better.
Overall, very pleased with this mouse since I had an old logitech M100 so... big upgrade

5 out of 5 eggsSent to my friend as a gift

Pros: Fast Delivery, Looks good, work well for its intended purpose. (WoW) My friend enjoys it alot.

Cons: Not really a con but small learning curve with the excess number of the average buttons.

Other Thoughts: Sure beats the heck out of using a touchpad in an mmo!

3 out of 5 eggsNice mouse but...

Pros: Feels great, fits good. The mechanical buttons are nice.

Cons: Laser died after exactly 1 year. Working with Razer on warranty. Will see how they hold up to its 2 year warranty. Mouse was never abused or dinged or dropped. Just in mid game the laser stopped tracking from left to right.

Other Thoughts: If they hold true to the warranty than this mouse is worth it. It is a pain to have to answer 100+ questions an emails just to RMA something defective.

4 out of 5 eggsRazer Naga Hex

Pros: I feel the absolute best thing about the mouse is it's button placement. Not only that but I feel this mouse is like a "more accessible" version of the original naga, the massive amount of buttons from the original would likely overwhelm someone who didn't consider themselves a big-time gamer.

Cons: I have rather large hands and the overall size and shape, leaves a bit to be desired sadly. Also I don't necessarily consider this a "con" but when it says optimized for moba, it means it. I figured any mouse with a high enough DPI laser will be a fine choice for a shooter game, how wrong I was, something about the way my pinky ends up sitting, I can almost ONLY play mobas effectively on this thing.

Other Thoughts: Looks awesome and has impeccable build quality, of course it is a Razer product.
