2 out of 5 eggsMouse susceptible to debris

Pros: I have owned this mouse for year and 6 months now. This mouse offers many benefits and ample amount of buttons for any occasion.

Cons: After owning this for a year and a half, I have been experiencing Double Click issues in which I single click but it causes a double click action on the operating system. After discussing this with their support, they informed me this was firmware problem. This didn’t set right with me so I did some research and found numerous sources on this very issue in regards to this mouse. The problem is that the actual button component within the mouse is susceptible to debris (dust etc.) which can enter the mouse and become lodged within this component. This lodging causes it to “Stick” and the operating system interpreting it as a double click. I cleaned this out but the problem returned after a few weeks. Razor does offer replacement but you need proof of purchase which means you need to contact the retailer and request a copy (or confirmation) of purchase from months ago. This creates quite a hardship having to track down a purchase receipt. Bottom line for me, I have never experienced such problems with other manufacturers such as Logitech and while I do feel that Razor is a good quality mouse, it is this quality and the sensitivity of the engineered components themselves that actually cause these types of issues. For the price, I cannot justify myself spending the cost of this mouse for the time I have owned it. And I am now looking to purchase a new mouse myself.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: works for 1-2 months

Cons: laser gives out after only 2 months of use. not worth anything over $20. buy Logitech instead.

Other Thoughts: extremely cheaply made, razer refuses to pay for shipping to ship back a defective mouse to honor their own warranty, they repeatedly lie to you in emails. the newer mice come with newer firmware that razer support refuses to provide you with when you try to troubleshoot your mouse problems. (very sketchy business practices) Do not buy anything from this atrocious company, go with Logitech instead.

Manufacturer Response:

Sorry to hear that you're unhappy with your mouse and our Customer Support policies. Please don't hesitate to e-mail any further feedback to feedback@razerzone.com.

5 out of 5 eggsFeels Nice, Seems sturdy

Pros: This mouse was an extreme upgrade from my last mouse. I had some garbage mouse that came with my computer and it squeaked every time I clicked. This mouse has a perfect sensitivity for me, feels comfortable (especially with all the interchangeable grips) and seems like it will last a while. The lights are cool, and the buttons can be useful sometimes. I have heard of people having problems with the double click, I haven't had that happen to me and I will update if I do.

Cons: None, BUY IT!

2 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, cheap parts

Pros: It's a great mouse for the most part. It functions well (for a long time) and has easily accessible and programmable keys on the sides. The clicks are very responsive and the ability to set your DPI is always a plus. I used this mouse for over 2 years with no issues.

Cons: After a little over 2 years, the left click started to double click or unregister a hold down while dragging. After reading about the problem online, most people said it was an issue with the part which clicks down on the click register. After emailing Razer support, I explained my problem and explicitly stated that my mouse was out of warranty. I did this again in another email and sent about 10 emails back and forth. Razer then emailed me a form to fill out so I could return my mouse. After attaching my receipt to the email, they said there was nothing they could do about it since it was out of warranty. I'm giving this mouse a -1 for a part that could easily be replaced to not ware down, and another -2 for bad customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: This mouse works perfect, never a hiccup whilst gaming. Macro buttons on the side are incredibly fun to get used to if you play an mmo. Makes the world of difference.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you're thinking about getting it. Do it.

4 out of 5 eggspretty good mouse

Pros: -the 12 buttons seem like a lot at first but you will find uses for them.
-fabric cable really nice
-black and green always looks nice
-3 sides for your individual grip style
-synapse 2 is awesome

Cons: - i found the mouse comfortable to the hand but no matter what side i use i dont feel as though i have a good grip to pick the mouse up and move around with it. i have fairly large hands and still have an issue.
- the material the sides are make out of it a shinny smooth plastic that for some reason makes my ring and pinky finger get sweaty (never has happened with other mice)
-buttons 7-9 are doable but 10-12 is a stretch
- the mouse is a tad light in my opinion

1 out of 5 eggsNever again, Razer

Pros: 12 thumb buttons, of course that's a pro!

Cons: I've had the same problem as many others, with the left AND right mouse buttons registering double-clicks... by the time Razer customer support even got back to me, it had gone from a random occurrence to happening 100% of the time with the left button and about 60% with the right. Made gaming impossible, and I was so disappointed. Started after about 7 months of use.

And I know to most of you this won't apply, but I'm a female gamer, and at 5 feet tall I have rather small hands. This mouse was, for me, HUGE. I ended up with a lot of wrist pain from having it flexed at an odd angle to try and reach all the buttons (which was again difficult due to shorter fingers than most).

The thumb buttons are not as programmable as you'd think at first. There's a switch on the bottom of the mouse that allows you to change it from numpad keys to num keys, so essentially you still have to utilize your 1-12 keys, which you have to macro anyway if you play MMOs, so the only convenience there is pushing a button with a thumb instead of on the keyboard. Basically, it doesn't open up any new macro keys the way a G-pad does on a keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Honestly think I'll try the Logitech G600 after this disappointing experience. This is the second, and last, piece of gaming equipment I will ever own from Razer. Nothing lasts!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: It's an awesome mouse. I have owned this mouse almost 2 years now, and have had zero problems. My gaming sessions last two to eight plus hours almost every day. People must have heavy fingers. I also have a large hand and the mouse fits great and is easy to hold.

Cons: No cons
