Pros: The speed of the mouse is very good. The software is easy to use and does as it's supposed to. The DPI being adjustable on-the-fly is a nice feature, especially when trying to figure out what works best for you. Multiple profiles are available so you are able to dial the mouse in for each of your favorite games.

Cons: The grip style is unusual for me and will definitely take some time to get used to. I personally enjoy the lights on the mouse, but some may consider it a distraction.

Other Thoughts: * I was using a Microsoft brand optical mouse that I received when purchasing a keyboard. It's DPI was not adjustable and it was set at 800 DPI. I would play most games with Windows mouse settings set to the highest speed and the in-game setting set to it's maximum. I found that for some games, such as Black Ops 3, the mouse just seemed too slow. Currently, I am using the Taipan @ 3200 DPI and the in-game setting at only 9.0% and it is still much faster than the mouse I used previously.

Pros: Very responsive, bought for FPS gaming good on very low dpi (1200) smooth paired with a decent mouse pad makes it a great mouse
couldnt go wrong when it was on sale. the thumb texture on the sides is very nice. Great overall product

Cons: had to get use to the ambidextrous setup, my ring finger hangs on the edge of the mouse that is lipped, am use to it after a few weeks of use.
Hand has a tendency to sweat on it.

Other Thoughts: Id highly recommend it if its on sale, great overall mouse for FPS/MMO

Pros: Don't know much about gaming mice. But then I decided to buy this one after I used my friend's for just one time. It fits my hand perfectly.

Cons: Consider to use other color for the side button.

Pros: it was nice for awhile

Cons: Inexplicably broke after 8 months - suddenly my cursor is "wobbly" and I can barely click the x to close a window. I have never had a laser mouse break before in my life, never mind an $80 one.

Has a big annoying bright green light on top of it that pulses on and off.

You have to install some special always-connected "cloud-based" software just to get Razer's drivers for it.

Other Thoughts: I'm never buying a Razer product again

Pros: The materials and finish on this mouse are perfect. The sides are easy to grip, easy to clean, but are not sticky and don't have that "cheap rubbery feeling".
The buttons have a nice click to them, and the overall shape of the mouse is extremely nice in the hand - for all types of holding types.
I would go so far as to say that this is almost a brilliant update/remodel of the old Diamondback 3G (far and away my favourite mouse) with one thing missing..

Cons: The old Diamondback 3G had seperate buttons at the front, the top piece of the Taipan is all a single piece. While from a style/aesthetic point of view this is much nicer, the feedback from the click, as well as the ability to "tap" in FPS games is a bit diminished in my opinion. That is just about the only thing I can find "wrong" with this mouse.

To nit pick a bit, I don't like the fact that the logo LED only has an on or off setting, and it 'breaths' (fades in and out) - I hate that.
I don't know how much of a difference it would make, but sometimes I also have the thought that the mouse would be absolute perfection if it were a tiny bit wider. But that is really nit picking.

Other Thoughts: Have one for work and for home.

Pros: This nice, large mouse is very comfortable on the hands. Actually had it for a very long time and ended up getting one for my mom cause the mouse she had was hurting her hands and wrists. Her wrists hurt a whole lot less now. While it's made for gaming, I can see it being very good for those who use a mouse all day long even if it's not for gaming just because of how easy on the hands it is.

Cons: The price high. Very high. I think I see it taking off into space.....

-Green light can be annoying at times

-Middle mouse button broke after a while. I've had much cheaper mice that have lasted much longer.

Pros: This Razer gaming mouse is probably my favorite so far to have owned. Shipped quickly, rigid construction, good response time, love the easy to adjust DPI, the four extra macro buttons are great for MOBA and MMO style games where speed and accuracy in item/ability use is key.

Cons: Buttons seem a bit difficult to press, but that may be just me. You will probably knock the DPI buttons at least once or twice. It's quite silly when your mouse shoots across the screen, but again, it takes your hand a bit to adjust to the button placements. Last issue is that you can't toggle the lights within the mouse on/off at all.

Other Thoughts: Great mouse to own after the first few days of adjusting. Good rigid design, and Razer Synapse is great for learning things about your gameplay and how to fix certain issues. 10/10 would purchase again.

Pros: This mouse is amazing, even if you are not a gamer and are looking for a mouse to use this is the one! You really get what you pay for, the feeling of this mouse is amazing. It makes me feel as if I have better control over my computer.

Cons: Too hard to use the buttons in the right side.
