5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: Sound is great, bass is great, looks good and isn't too heavy, the price is right. comes with free razer surround upgrade code (usualy costs money) for virtual surround sound if you want it but I haven't tried it yet.

Cons: uncomfortable with glasses, not unbearable.. but just kind of uncomfortable which is typical of over the ear headphones.

Other Thoughts: Ive seen a lot of bad reviews of this headset but I like it a lot, if it breaks or something goes wrong ill update the review

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Gaming Headset

Pros: Good sound, powerful bass, looks very nice, retractable mic.

Cons: Is taking a while to break in. I have what I would consider a regular/medium sized head and I have to max out the headset to properly wear it. Hurts after a few hours of continuous wear. Comes out of the box with way to much bass meaning you need to use an equalizer to tune it. The headset comes with a extension but it connects a 90 degree elbow which should just be straight. The top the the headset doesn't have enough padding or the headset just doesn't open enough.

Other Thoughts: I am enjoying the sound quality while trying to break in the headset but I don't think I would recommend this particular set to a friend just because of the sizing issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Fantastic!

Pros: -The ear cups are really nicely paded and large enough to encase my entire ear
-Extreme noise canceling, so dont worry about outside noises because these cancel out mostly everything.(friend tried talking to me and all i heard was a faint mumble)
-Very sturdy build. Everything from the actual headband to the ear cups is crazy durable.
-Great sound quality
-Great for gaming or for listening music
-Retractable and bendable mic! its the best thing ever!

Cons: -The only issue i have noticed is that the mic is extremely sensitive, but once tuned into correct settings works like a charm and comes across extremely clear.

Other Thoughts: The headset cable is really long. Your also provided an extension for the headset that changes it from a just headphones configuration to the headset with a jack for each(Mic and Audio).

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: For the price, they where worth every penny. Gives you the Razer Surround pro for free. Once the Bass is tuned along with everything else, they play pretty good quality music and are a joy to play games with.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsRelease the Kraken?

Pros: *Light Weight

*Comfortable to wear for hours on end (see other thoughts)

*Clear Mic and 100% adjustable (see other thoughts)

*Your Ears fit in the ear cups comfortably

*Sound Quality is great for the price range (see other thoughts)

*Great Price for the Product

*Razer Support

*Able to wear it out side of the house and not look like a fool with a mic hanging out

*The 7.1 audio sounds great in games that use 7.1 like Warthunder, Mechwarrior Online, Evolve, (most modern day games) You can pick up foot steps and accurately tell what direction they are coming from.

Cons: *You absolutely HAVE to download Razer Synapse to use this head set effectively (see other thoughts)

*The tuning of the headset is a little annoying but once you have it it works great.

Other Thoughts: All in All this head set is worth the cost and with out a doubt will server its purpose for a long time no regrets for this purchase.

(*Comfortable to wear for hours on end)

First putting this head set on it took me a bit to get used to it (about a day or so) it caused a little pain in my lower ear but it is comfortable to wear after that.

(*Clear Mic and 100% adjustable)
As above you have to use Razer Synapse to dial int he mic, a lot of people say people can pick up other noises in the back round and that's some thing that can be tuned out.

(*Sound Quality is great for the price range)

I am basically downgrading to an extent to this head-set i was using a Razer Chimera head set that was wireless the only big difference was it was wireless and the drivers are bigger at 50mm this head set is 40mm

The sound quality over all is about the same the Chimera is a little bit more bassy but the krakens are equal for sure. **I listen to a lot of music while i play games. Dubstep, Drum&Bass, Most EDM genres and the bass is with out a doubt there and it all sounds great.

(*You absolutely HAVE to download Razer Synapse to use this head set effectively)

This upsets me the most when you first plug the head set in and use default audio the sound quality is really muffled (I plugged it in to my Iphone 6 and the muffling went away and it sounded great) I looked in to Razer drivers/softwear and it lead me to Razer synaps (I never had to use this with my Chimera head set) I ended up downloading synaps it found my head set plugged in I told it what it was (Kraken Pro) and then went through the 7.1 audio configuration and my buyers remorse went away as the sound quality boosted to exceptional levels.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: I love this headset! It's comfortable and is very clear. The mic is nice and I love the fact it is retractable.

Cons: I don't really have any.

Other Thoughts: It's not really too much of a hassle but I do wish that this headset came with some kind of a velcro to hold the cable since it's long but I could probably do that myself. lol

4 out of 5 eggsI can hear audio and people can understand me.

Pros: The headset was well built. Most of the frame was a matte black plastic with metal in some spots.

The retractable microphone is a nice feature to have. No more jamming my hand into the microphone when reaching up to adjust the headset or take it off.

Sound quality was pretty good. Not the best I've heard, but as good as their competitors' sets.

The microphone was great. People could actually hear me and understand what I was saying.

The headset was comfortable to use. It wasn't too tight and if it was, that could be adjusted by slowly spreading the earcups apart and bending the headband.

Cons: The only con I have is that after almost a month, the microphone stopped working. People started complaining that I wasn't coming through clearly.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I heartily recommend this headset. Yes, mine turned out to be defective, but I doubt that happens often.

The quality of the headset was great and I had no complaints up until the defect appeared.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Headset ever made

Pros: Doesn't need USB.
Newegg has great shipping.

Cons: where do I start. Day 1 of getting these. I open the box and use them. The left headphone doesn't work. So I though ok maybe it's a driver thing it will fix itself when I install drivers. I was downloading razer synapse and I took the headphones off and left. Come back and install drivers. Put it on and it works. Cool. I then use it for a couple months no issue. Keep in mind my replacement period expires at 30 days. I look on the internet and see that if I use razer surround the sound on these headphones will sound a lot better. I install it and WOW I realize these sound like trash without it.(i'm not an audiophile so I assumed that it was supposed to sound like that). And then the problem of the left headphone going out comes back. It only happens when I put them on(after having taken them off and leaving). I realized that pushing it into the side of my head till it pops makes it work again. So now I have to hit the side of my headphones every time I want to use them. I also realize that You have to run services.msc and restart razer surround audio EVERY TIME YOU START YOUR PC for it to work. HOW IS THIS NOT FIXED. So I've basically been living the past 9 months with a piece of trash that cost $80 and I have to hit my head and restart some bull just for them to work. Complete piece of trash

Other Thoughts: TLDR: Don't buy. It's garbage. I have to hit my headset for it to work and restart the surround service when I turn on the computer. Too late for me to return.

5 out of 5 eggsComfortable for real

Pros: -Sound is pretty good, especially the bass
-Very comfy, I can easily wear it for 12 hours straigth with no issues
-Sorta good quality for the price
-A year and a half of ownership and heavy use, still no issue at all, looks brand new still

Cons: -Razer surround software seemed to cause some buzzing sounds on the microphone. Does not seem do be an issue since windows 8.1 anymore for me but I'd recommand to uninstall it if you get issues.

Other Thoughts: I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about it being uncomfortable and I thought we should make it clear. This is a closed headphones so obviously it's gonna take a little while for your ears to get used to it that's just totally normal. I did have these issues in the beginning but right now I could literally sleep with these on and be fine.

-I would strongly recommand if you're looking for a durable
headset for gaming at a fair price
