2 out of 5 eggsNot serviceable as a wireless mouse

Pros: - Great sensor
- Great form factor
- Feels amazing

Cons: - ~15 hours of battery life with rechargeable AAs
- Poor range with even minor obstructions
- Razer software is terrible

Other Thoughts: I used the original model Orochi for nearly 3 years as my desktop mouse with no issues, I finally decided it was a little too beat up and "upgraded" to this. For comparison the old Orochi gets about 5x better battery life, and tracks flawlessly in nearly any environment.

I actually returned the first of these mice that I received assuming I had gotten a dud, but unfortunately the wireless range and battery issues appear to come from poor design. In order to get proper reception I had to run an extended antenna from my WiFi/Bluetooth card to the back of my monitor so that the transmission distance is no more than about 24 inches, and in order to use it as my daily driver I have to swap batteries every other day.

These factors along with the constant annoyance from the Razer software combine to severely diminish the appeal and utility of the mouse when used wirelessly, which is the whole point of the device.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat But...

Pros: Great Gaming Performance
Feels solid in hand
High Performance

Cons: Bluetooth Performance is spotty

Other Thoughts: I got this mouse for my new notebook having previously used a wireless USB Logitech. Cabled, it works flawlessly. Using Bluetooth, it frequently loses signal making it unusable wireless which was kind of the point...Had I known, I would not have purchased.

3 out of 5 eggsgood enough

Pros: -Comfortable
-Adjustable DPI
-Corded and bluetooth options
-Looks pretty cool

Cons: -Mandatory razer synapse software
-Expensive
-Difficult to unplug cable

Other Thoughts: For a small, comfortable gaming mouse it really isn't that bad. However, I think you're spending more money on a brand name than a quality product. It works, it's good enough that I didn't return it, but when it breaks I'll replace it with something else.

4 out of 5 eggsA great, small mouse

Pros: > Small, ambidextrous design
> Can rebind all buttons
> 4 side buttons, with on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment
> 6400dpi, with 5 presets for on-the-fly switching
> Wired or wireless makes it perfect for a laptop

Cons: > Mouse wheel wears out after repeated heavy use
> Plastic cover can snap when taking it off to access batteries
> Synapse software is one of my highest background processes in terms of used system resources
> Synapse also requires an account with Razer

Other Thoughts: I bought the original Orochi back in 2009 and wore it out. By the end, my scroll wheel was like rolling a dice everytime. Sometimes, I'd scroll down and it would go up, sometimes not, sometimes the opposite.

I got the new 2013 model as a replacement, but I'm worried that the design for the scroll wheel has not changed, and I'm already starting to feel it wearing down (owned for 7~8 months).

On the 2013 model, the top cover is made out of a cheaper plastic, which I've snapped removing it to access the batteries.

The 2013 model improves on the 2009 model in one area, the bottom part of the mouse having the rubber texture for better grip along the whole mouse, as opposed to just the top before.

All in all, it's a nice mouse. I'm a huge fan of the small design, it feels more comfortable to me than traditional mice. I do have smaller hands than average though, so that definitely factors into the equation.

1 out of 5 eggsGlitchy Mouse

Pros: - Small
- Programmable Buttons
- Easy to pair BT
- Wireless
- 6400 DPI
- Option to make corded

Cons: - Mouse glitches all the time
- Synapse software doesn't connect profiles well
- Batteries die very fast

Other Thoughts: I bought this Mouse for my girlfriend and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Right out of the box it was having tracking issues. After multiple E-Mails with Razer there's nothing that we have been able to do to remedy the situation. This is not a gaming mouse due to its lack of reliability. We will be returning this mouse and looking at another.

Pros: Accuracy, small and compact, solid feel, buttons

Cons: the buttons on the right get clicked automatically and easily but its not a big deal...

Other Thoughts: It's a cool mouse, the bluetooth fuctionality is really nice, and I'm enjoying it so fan. If I see any promlem I will update it here.

1 out of 5 eggsBig disappointment

Pros: Pretty

Cons: --Tracking is glitchy/jerky on wireless mode.
--Cloud-based synapse is worthless if you're trying to use it in a corporate setting (like me).
--Detachable usb cable is a huge pain to unplug without pulling on the wire itself (which drastically shortens the life of the cable).
--Ergonomically subpar
--Missing clicks
--Have to re-pair it whenever you unplug the cable

I've been pretty happy with my razer keyboard and wired mouse, but the orochi was a huge disappointment, especially since razer products are not cheap. I will definitely be looking at reviews before buying another of their products.

Other Thoughts: I didn't use it long enough to see how battery usage was. When my brand-spiffy-new 'gaming' mouse is ergonomically and functionally subpar to the cheap-as-heck targus that I'm sure came with the company laptop, I don't need much more time to realize I've been conned.

This is getting returned tomorrow.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great, feels great, responsive

Cons: Disconnects itself randomly. Have to unplug it and replug to regain use.

Other Thoughts: It's a great mouse when it works, but I thought a Razer mouse would be more reliable. Switched back over to my Logitech and never had a problem again.

1 out of 5 eggsbroken in under a year

Pros: nice grip and features. Mac driver

Cons: stuff peels on bottom and gets in the way and started skipping after about 8 months. garbage. After owning a Logi G5 for four years, this is a disappointment
