4 out of 5 eggsCarcharias -- Hardest Word to Say, ever.

Pros: Great feel, coming from Razer's Kraken Pro headset, this is much lighter and allows for my larger-than-average head to enjoy this rather light headset. This does emphasize comfort over sturdiness (if that's even a factor), so, those of you who dislike the overly flimsy-feeling peripherals will instantly condemn this headset to tech-hell. Ear pads are not plastic or faux-leather, they are cloth, and are also removable for whatever cleaning you can attempt. Removing the pad reveals the speaker drivers, and these do look a bit fragile, so be careful. Microphone is excellent! I found out (just ten seconds ago) that the mic is also adjustable, allowing the mic to bend to a near-90 degree angle (yeah, yeah, I should drop Tech Knowledge to a 3). Picks up great, although, I was experiencing a bit of an issue before I updated my sound card (recent recovery on my PC). About 10 minutes on my Realtek HD Sound Manager fixed it. Adapter is a USB plus the two 3.5mm jacks for Mic In and Audio Out, and the USB needs to be plugged in in order for the audio box thing (idk what it's called, kill me now) to power up and thus transmit audio. There is an adjustable wheel for volume, voice, and base, as well as a mic-off/on switch. For console gamers, there is an Xbox 2.5mm mic jack that you plug in as well as adapters for your console. Have no clue if it works on PS3, although I doubt any of this stuff does. Mega-comfortable, with the cloth pads and the foam padding on the headband makes it feel like you're wearing a cloud that plays music and dishes out all the commands you're shouting out in those raids and on Skype call. Also, the headset sports a glowing LED of the Razer brand icon on each ear in the same classic green that we've all come to know and love. Cable seems forever long, but provides a band to wrap it all up in. Between the headset and the sound box thing, there's about two feet of cable, and then probably another 4-6 feet between that and the connectors. Overall, loving this headset.

Cons: If the bass adjuster is maxed out, the amount of junk that you hear is increased significantly. Maxed on a game is great, but you want to dial it down as the drivers aren't nearly as large nor as equipped for some hardcore dubstep bass sessions.
The connecting cables, unfortunately, are not braided in comparison to many of the other Razer products (Sabertooth, Naga, Tartarus, etc.) I find the braided cables a lot better than this coated business, so, not that big of a deal.

Other Thoughts: Dropped a star because my particular headset (bought it on Black Friday from a local shop, so, not anybody's fault) separates a bit between the headband and the foam padding for your head (basically, where it says "Razer", it's broke). I definitely did not have this problem with my Kraken Pro, but, whatever. I would definitely recommend this as a STATIONARY HEADSET ONLY, as I would find it an extreme burden to find places to put this headset without it snapping in half, as I said it does not feel as sturdy as other headsets I've tried. Sound quality is above average, but, if you're not big on gaming and are looking for a hardcore music-listening headset, I would only recommend this to you because of its comfort. Literally. It melts into your head. Otherwise, a great all-around headset in general.

4 out of 5 eggsNice quality, Still don't purchase.

Pros: The headset delivers quite good sound quality. Fits good. Durable (good build quality) and lasts long. I have not used this headset on Xbox nor do I have any desire to.

Cons: Hurts your ears, doesn't go small enough for some wearers. The cord is way too long, the dial for sound and muting your mic is four feet away from the headset meaning if I am standing up I can't reach it. It feels like it will break although I have found it durable. The cord also gets twisted easily and I have actually had to go outside and hold it from a ladder so it untwists itself, but it will re twist itself after a few hours of game play. This headset makes you want to wipe all cords from existence after brutally murdering them.

Other Thoughts: I found that the Logitech G430 is a much more comfortable design, it feels like a pack of angels are hugging your head as you listen to heavenly sounds of you obliterating your enemies. The sound quality is amazing. The cord is much nicer and it is braided so it wont tear or rip.

- I mean all of this even though I am a complete razer fan-boy I have a keyboard, a mouse, a mouse pad, another headset by them, and one of their keypads

3 out of 5 eggsIts okay, However this static issue is annoying

Pros: I got this headset cause it looked nice and it was cheap. It has pretty good sound quality, nothing amazing tho. However I'm coming from someone using $20 headphones so I personally think they have amazing sound quality. I'm not an audiophile tho.

Long wire, has a little media controller to adjust volume turn on mic etc.

Cons: After about couple weeks I randomly get buzz noises in my right ear phone which is quite annoying actually it happens like every day, however I've grown to ignore it, since it seems to stop if i play music or any type of sound at full blast or w/e. However If I'm just chilling I hear this really loud buzzing/ crackling noise and it sounds wrong,

Other Thoughts: Pretty disappointed I hate hearing the buzz noise everyday, but I'm not entirely that picky so I live with it. The headset works so thats all that matters really.

1 out of 5 eggsShouldn't buy it

Pros: -It has O.K. sound quality

-Good for short term use under a strict budget

Cons: -Made from cheap plastic

-Feels like it's going to fall apart at any moment

-Huge cord

-I have a regular sized head and they are still very large

-Microphone picks up a lot of sound from the headphones

-You have to change the boost and microphone volume through the Windows control panel

-Over-priced

-Got tired of wearing them after 15 minutes

Other Thoughts: I was expecting more out of Razer, I have one of their keyboards, but was quite honestly astonished at the lack of care given into the design. The headphones really do feel like they're going to fall apart because the cheap plastic is so loose.

3 out of 5 eggsRazer Carcharias Headset Review

Pros: This is a pretty good headset for what your are paying for.
-Sound quality is great, bass can be easily adjustable to you liking via the inline controller.
-Nice long cable so you can easily push all the wires behind your desk
-Good quality build. I have had mine for about 6 months, and they still work/fit perfectly
-Part of what your buying is the Razer name, and that always means great quality, and packaging.

Cons: -The earpeice is cloth, which means any kind of hair or fuzz near those things will immediately attach to them. Needs cleaning about once a month.
-After extended use the headset begins to hurt your ears (3+ hours i have found).
-Mic quality is sub par at best. Because of the USB and analog connection there is always a static, and hissing noise in anything you try to do. (won't go away if you turn the headset on low volume)

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a serious gaming headset then these aren't for you. Although I fully support Razer in their mice, and keyboards; The headsets aren't the best in the game. This headset is great for a moderate gamer who doesn't want to pay $100+ on a headset.

2 out of 5 eggsGood at first

Pros: When i first received this headset it was replacing a hold Microsoft headset and it was an excellent upgrade. after a solid 3 months of use things started to go down hill

Cons: After about 4 months there was an increasing amount of static feedback. the mic no matter what settings would pick up like phantom noise. after checking the Razer forums they had a solid of that your computer isn't completely grounded and that's feedback from your psu. try plugging it in to a wall outlet for its power. that didn't solve it. tried to get service from Razer and after 2 weeks of run around i was told that its out of service when their website has a year and i purchased a extended from newegg. terrible service and it appears to be a major defect in the product that they don't want to own up to. as i've tried this headset on multiple computers and 2 different usb wall chargers.

Other Thoughts: the headset is comfortable to wear and while it worked with minimal static feedback, tech support is garbage and i would recommend trying something else.

1 out of 5 eggsGood at first...

Pros: A great looking headset. Glows on the sides when plugged in with great audio controls.

Cons: Owned this headset a little less then 4 months. I'm very careful with my equipment. But for unknown reasons the headset started having major static issues.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't really recommend.

Pros: Awesome headset till they die out and soo comfy.

Cons: Headset didn't even last a year. Total joke. First I had to stop using them because they started buzzing and started giving a lot of feedback. Plugged them back in a week later and now the other side doesn't work. Don't buy, but don't buy turtlebeaches/Mad Catz (Astros) either.. they're just as bad.
