2 out of 5 eggsDecent, but not worth the price...

Pros: * Decent Sound Quality, but nothing special. ( 5/10 )
* Fairly comfortable, but only for about an hour ( 4/10 )
* Decent Construction, but needs constant adjustment. ( 5/10 )

Cons: * Horrible Microphone (1/10)
* Not Shielded (1/10)

Other Thoughts: While these are a decent headset, they are easily not worth the price. While the sound quality is pretty decent, it's nothing amazing. The are pretty comfortable, but they begin to cause some discomfort after about an hour of wearing them. The construction is pretty solid, I haven't had anything break yet (after about a year), but I find that I need to constantly adjust the headset due to the cups sliding down under their own weight.

While the previous critiques are ok for an average headset in the $30-40 range, the following explains why these aren't worth the cost.

The microphone is horrible. It's pretty short, and while you can bend it, it's not very flexible. This all means that you can't get it on front of your mouth, it's really only ever at the corners. This combined with the fact that you have to scream for the mic to even pick you up makes it horrible. Not only that, but since the Mic and Speaker wires aren't shielded (at least, not very well), anything that comes through the speakers is picked up by the mic, and the sad thing is that it picks up the audio way better than it picks up you speaking. That and the fact that there's always static in the headset, means these are fairly horrible for what they're supposed to be.

All together, I would rate these at about a ( 3/10 ), or about 2 eggs. Seriously, save your money, because you're just going to spend almost $100 for a pair of $30 headsets, that you replace later because they suck.

1 out of 5 eggsRazer goofed with these.

Pros: Looks nice, pretty sturdy construction. Makes a decent paper weight.

Cons: And I do mean weight, at almost 4lb these are some of the heaviest headphones I've ever had. But aside from the weight, there is the white noise in the background if you raise the volume anywhere above about 40%-50% of the max on the volume adjuster on the wire. When i first got them, it needed to be at about 75% max volume before I would hear the noise.

Other Thoughts: I bought these headphones from a retail store during last years black friday sale, and honestly I kind of regret spending the $65 even if it was discounted from a price of $90. If you wear these headphones for extended periods of time like me your neck starts to cramp up, which is extremely uncomfortable. I've had 4 razer headsets in total now, each lasting me about 2-3 years before I did something that broke them, but these are the first that I've regretted buying. My first razer headset was the original Carcharias. Those were some really sturdy and well made headphones, I remember the audio being crisp and clear without any kinds of problems with them. Now we come to this newest version of them that became complete dooky. I was trying to relive my glory days, but instead have suffered for it. My honest opinion is that razer should go back to the original design for the Carcharias.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy! Static city

Pros: Amazing sound. Great for large heads. Most comfortable headset ever. Long cord. Adjusts perfectly to your head. No clamping feel on head or ears.

Cons: These headphones give serious static because them being powered by the USB. The previous Carcharias' did not have this problem. Only the newer version that requires USB to be plugged in. Seriously, do not buy unless you want a constant hissing sound.

Other Thoughts: Razer support claims it's your computers fault for not being grounded properly. My computer is grounding just fine. I even did what they said (using a PCIe usb card). No matter what you do you cannot get rid of the hiss. Razer does not want to own up that they messed up with these.

2 out of 5 eggsMIC just bad sounding

Pros: Sounds good, comfortable and light weight

Cons: MIC just unacceptable, noisy, echo city...

Other Thoughts: I even tried an AC to USB adapter even knowing another USB headset was fine. While my GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 is not the best MB I don't see it as an issue.

4 out of 5 eggs4 years and still working

Pros: Comfortable on the head, easy on the ears if you have small ears.

Cons: A little too long cord. The volume dial is starting the show its age after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: I had mine for a long time and it's been everywhere, to LAN parties, friends houses, tossed and dropped, and it's still working fine.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Comfortable, durable, decent sound. I have owned these for over 2 years now and used them for at least 1000+ hours of raiding/ventrilo chat in WoW, no issues, clear mic and a no tangle cord. I have also sat on them many times and only the ear piece popped off which I was able to re-attach easily. Buy these you wont be disappointed.

Cons: Lots of bad reviews from what I can only guess are people that broke them and then wanted to complain, If you abuse your tech it will break - period. Don't be a tool and you will love these headphones.

3 out of 5 eggsI Expected Better

Pros: Comfortable over the ear cushion.

Cons: Random hissing noises.
Cord longer than original PC version of the Charcharias
The switches for voice volume, sound volume and bass, while nice, are too heavy for the location they are at.
Microphone mute switch broke after one use.

Other Thoughts: I've owned the original charcharias for the pc. Decided to get this one because I liked the other. The 360/pc version, while different doesn't do this headset justice - See cons.

Randomly, after one switch, the microphone mute button just completely broke. After. One. Use.
The quality of this headset has gone through the toilet in my opinion.

4 out of 5 eggsCarcharias -- Hardest Word to Say, ever.

Pros: Great feel, coming from Razer's Kraken Pro headset, this is much lighter and allows for my larger-than-average head to enjoy this rather light headset. This does emphasize comfort over sturdiness (if that's even a factor), so, those of you who dislike the overly flimsy-feeling peripherals will instantly condemn this headset to tech-hell. Ear pads are not plastic or faux-leather, they are cloth, and are also removable for whatever cleaning you can attempt. Removing the pad reveals the speaker drivers, and these do look a bit fragile, so be careful. Microphone is excellent! I found out (just ten seconds ago) that the mic is also adjustable, allowing the mic to bend to a near-90 degree angle (yeah, yeah, I should drop Tech Knowledge to a 3). Picks up great, although, I was experiencing a bit of an issue before I updated my sound card (recent recovery on my PC). About 10 minutes on my Realtek HD Sound Manager fixed it. Adapter is a USB plus the two 3.5mm jacks for Mic In and Audio Out, and the USB needs to be plugged in in order for the audio box thing (idk what it's called, kill me now) to power up and thus transmit audio. There is an adjustable wheel for volume, voice, and base, as well as a mic-off/on switch. For console gamers, there is an Xbox 2.5mm mic jack that you plug in as well as adapters for your console. Have no clue if it works on PS3, although I doubt any of this stuff does. Mega-comfortable, with the cloth pads and the foam padding on the headband makes it feel like you're wearing a cloud that plays music and dishes out all the commands you're shouting out in those raids and on Skype call. Also, the headset sports a glowing LED of the Razer brand icon on each ear in the same classic green that we've all come to know and love. Cable seems forever long, but provides a band to wrap it all up in. Between the headset and the sound box thing, there's about two feet of cable, and then probably another 4-6 feet between that and the connectors. Overall, loving this headset.

Cons: If the bass adjuster is maxed out, the amount of junk that you hear is increased significantly. Maxed on a game is great, but you want to dial it down as the drivers aren't nearly as large nor as equipped for some hardcore dubstep bass sessions.
The connecting cables, unfortunately, are not braided in comparison to many of the other Razer products (Sabertooth, Naga, Tartarus, etc.) I find the braided cables a lot better than this coated business, so, not that big of a deal.

Other Thoughts: Dropped a star because my particular headset (bought it on Black Friday from a local shop, so, not anybody's fault) separates a bit between the headband and the foam padding for your head (basically, where it says "Razer", it's broke). I definitely did not have this problem with my Kraken Pro, but, whatever. I would definitely recommend this as a STATIONARY HEADSET ONLY, as I would find it an extreme burden to find places to put this headset without it snapping in half, as I said it does not feel as sturdy as other headsets I've tried. Sound quality is above average, but, if you're not big on gaming and are looking for a hardcore music-listening headset, I would only recommend this to you because of its comfort. Literally. It melts into your head. Otherwise, a great all-around headset in general.

4 out of 5 eggsNice quality, Still don't purchase.

Pros: The headset delivers quite good sound quality. Fits good. Durable (good build quality) and lasts long. I have not used this headset on Xbox nor do I have any desire to.

Cons: Hurts your ears, doesn't go small enough for some wearers. The cord is way too long, the dial for sound and muting your mic is four feet away from the headset meaning if I am standing up I can't reach it. It feels like it will break although I have found it durable. The cord also gets twisted easily and I have actually had to go outside and hold it from a ladder so it untwists itself, but it will re twist itself after a few hours of game play. This headset makes you want to wipe all cords from existence after brutally murdering them.

Other Thoughts: I found that the Logitech G430 is a much more comfortable design, it feels like a pack of angels are hugging your head as you listen to heavenly sounds of you obliterating your enemies. The sound quality is amazing. The cord is much nicer and it is braided so it wont tear or rip.

- I mean all of this even though I am a complete razer fan-boy I have a keyboard, a mouse, a mouse pad, another headset by them, and one of their keypads
